Nellie has blossomed into the sweetest dog in this past week, once a shy, unsure pup, she now feels more safe and secure and is definitely wanting to be with her “human” much more. She follows her foster Mom around and has become her “shadow”. She loves the backyard, grass and the shaded patio area and has a youthful and playful personality.

Nellie has started playing with her toys and enjoys the company of her foster siblings as well as couch “snuggles” with foster Mom. She listens very well and is eager to please as well as being food motivated for training. She’s getting the hang of house breaking manners, and has started learning to “ring the bell” to go out with the other dogs for potty time! Nellie hasn’t quite mastered leash walking, she’s trying but has a ways to go, so she will require a fenced in yard in her new home. We still feel it’s best if Nellie goes to an adult only home where she can soak up all the love with her new family

Hello rescue world, my name is Nellie, I am thought to be a 5 year old Lhasa apaso mix, and all of 10lbs. I was found neglected and in horribly matted shape. The “people” that had me obviously didn’t take care of me and I ended up at animal control, and in a way, I guess that was a good thing because I got lucky and my photo was shared with VIP Rescue Director Betsy and before I knew it, Vip Rescue jumped into action and took me into their Rescue along with 3 other pups I came in with that were in as horrible condition as me. WHO DOES THAT TO AN ANIMAL? We certainly didn’t do anything to deserve to be “forgotten”. VIP showed us love, gave us food, they welcomed us…No questions asked. We were shaved down as our hair was so matted, there was no saving it and we had a bath.. wow what a difference a day makes. We were immediately taken on a trip to the “Dog”tor, and a plan and schedule was made… we found ourselves on the road to recovery and the start of our next chapter in our new life. After all that “Vet” stuff that I had done, I needed time to decompress and understand what LOVE really means. I now have a full belly, I’m learning leash walks, I enjoy rolling around in the grass in the backyard and my favorite is a warm bed. I love sleeping in the human bed. I get cuddles and pets and kisses. My second favorite thing is a warm lap to nap on so I can just relax. What do you think? Does it sound like you can offer me the same? I’m looking for a loving quieter Adult home that I can be the center of your attention. Patience is a little of what I’m looking for my in my “FUR”ever home.

I can promise this… if you love me?? I will love you even more! I’m a little awkward and learning how to play because I was so matted, my leg movement were restricted, but now I’m getting the hang of it! I get really excited when I get attention and sometimes I might look a little uncoordinated. In the last few days, I’ve learned how to play, and I’m a totally different girl than a few weeks ago when VIP Rescue took me in. THIS. Is what a good hearted human does, not like that “other” one.

If you can give me the time and patience, I’m going to be the best girl ever. I’m working on house manners, as I was never given the opportunity to understand this, but I’m a quick learner and in no time I’ll have it down pat. I could be your one and only or if you have a HaPpY friendly pup already at home I would love to meet them. I’ve been spayed, ( thank goodness, no more puppers for me!) had a fresh dental, updated vaccines, and am on my monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Please keep in mind I will need to be groomed on a regular basis so I don’t get tangled and matter ever again. If you don’t think you can work this into your budget ($60–$80 every 6-8 weeks or so) please visit our web site and choose a pup that doesn’t need grooming. Well now, if you think you just might be what I’m looking for, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an application. Don’t forget to put my name, Nellie on the app. Hope to meet you very soon!

HOUSE TRAINED: Almost, as long as he is let out often

LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes

GOOD WITH KIDS: unknown – prefer adult only home

COLOR: White

FENCED YARD: not required.

Hi there, I’m West, a 5yr old, 15 lbs,  happy Lhasa mix boy.

I’ve been with VIP Rescue for several weeks. You may have read about my story earlier on, because upon arrival I was in horrible shape, but a lot has happened and changed since I got here. I had to go right to the “dog”tor, because I had a very badly injured leg and the Vet thought it best to amputate it. But you know what? VIP Rescue got me all healthy again and gave me some much needed Vet care, love, and a safe place to lay my head at night. I really needed the last couple of weeks to rest and relax for my recuperation, and thanks to my “paw”some foster Mom, I’m now ready for my fur-ever home.   My surgery on my leg  has not hindered my ability to live and to LOVE. I love to play, eat, go on short leash walks, snuggles and ATTENTION. I’m learning house manners, if you get me out often, I do great.

I get along great with other dogs or I could be your one and only. I’m learning to play with toys now and I’m really having some fun! Since losing that leg is new to me, I can do a step or two but no more than that.  Maybe in time I could do more, but that seems to be the only thing I have a problem with at this time. In fact, I get around just fine and am enjoying all the great things my new life has to offer. I think I’d do best in an Adult home, and one that’s going to love me and give me lots of attention.

I’m an easy-going, fluffy boy that will require regular grooming. Please keep that in mind if you’re thinking about adopting me. The regular schedule would be every 8 to 10 weeks with an approximate cost anywhere from  $60-$90 per visit or maybe even more.

I am up-to-date with my vaccines, I have been neutered, had a recent dental, and am on heart worm and flea prevention along with being given a clean bill of health! Woohoo! Do you think I might be the guy for you? If so, please submit an application with VipRescue.org

Hi everyone, I’m Bonnie, a 9.5 year old 15 lbs Shih tzu girl. My Mom had gotten sick and could no longer keep up with my care. Thankfully I made it to a “paw”some foster home here at VIP Rescue! I am now ready to find my “fur”ever family. IdealIy, I would love to be your one and only in my new home, but I have learned that I do get along with other mild mannered pups, but I do like being the alpha. I am house trained, but If I’m left too long without an outside break I do know how to use tinkle pads. I enjoy short walks when it’s cooler outside, and sunning myself in a yard or on a porch. I do like to play fetch with a ball, or I can entertain myself with toys. Will you have toys for me in my new home? That’d be great! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I do like to sleep in my humans bed. Yep, I’m just a “wittle” spoiled! Ha! I do have a touch of “attitude” every once in a while so an adult home would definitely be best. My hair grows and I do not shed, but I will need to be groomed on a regular basis (approximately every 6-8 weeks) Grooming can run anywhere from $60-120/per groom, so please keep this expense in mind if you are thinking of offering me a furever home.

I am spayed, microchipped, up to date with vaccines and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention, and also just had a fresh dental. I have by bags packed and I’m ready to goooooooooo! All I’m looking for is a loving, patient quieter adult only home to “chillax” in, could that be yours? Are you the home for me? Please submit an application with VIPRescue.org if you can offer me, Bonnie, a fabulous new home.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Belle / Redington Beach

Belle / Redington Beach AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!! viprescue.org

DOG NAME: Belle / Redington Beach DOB: 10/5/10 DOG BREED: ShihTzu mix DOG WEIGHT: 11 lbs GENDER: Female HOUSE TRAINED: yes LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes GOOD WITH KIDS: yes, 14+, but prefer adult only home COLOR: Tan and white

Do you have the time, patience and love for a few years to give me the best life I deserve? We’ve all read the sad stories. We’ve all seen the sad eyes. We’ve all seen the photos. Help me be one of the lucky ones, well I already am… since VIP Rescue Director and foster Mom Miss Betsy welcomed me in with open arms. I’m not just one of those stories, I have a name, it’s Belle, and I matter!

I’m a sweet senior gal that was surrendered to a rural shelter with the request to euthanize. ??. They said I had been attacked by an animal and they could not afford the care I needed. The shelter agreed to take me in, but would not euthanize me. Instead, they reached far and wide with a rescue plea, asking if any rescue had space to take me in and get me the medical attention I needed.

Thanks to my new VIP Rescue family, I’m on the road to recovery and every day is a new day, less pain, and more comfort for me. I have lost my sight, and I’ve lost my hearing and I have a burn wound (unknown origin, possibly a chemical burn) on my back that is healing well and my hair is growing back nicely. Through all of this, I haven’t lost my will to live, thanks to my “paw”some foster Mommy taking such good care of me!

I’m smart and I can learn the lay of the land in a short period of time. I enjoy food and sleeping on the soft beds in my foster home..bonus I am potty trained! I just need to be guided on the route needed to get outside so I can do my business. I will learn it in no time and I do let you know when I have to go..

I can have a step or two to get in and out of the home, so I don’t need a fenced yard but a secure location that I can do my business would be helpful. My foster mom can tell you some solutions if you don’t have a fenced yard. I am not too keen on the leash. I prefer to go at my own pace when I’m smelling all the neat smells outside.

I’ve had a recent dental and some lumpy bumps removed. I’m spayed up-to-date on my vaccines, microchipped and am current on my monthly heartworm and flea preventatives.

A note from foster Mom: This sweet girl needs a patient home to live out the rest of her days. It’s unimaginable that somebody could let her get in the condition she has found herself in. One day at a time, and Belle deserves the best.

All she’s looking for is patience, love, and a warm lap to curl up on. Is that you? Are you the home for her? An adult only home with someone who is home more often than not is preferred.

Please submit an application with VIPRescue.org if you can offer this sweet girl the best loving home.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Lily / Largo

Lily/Largo Available for adoption!! viprescue.org

DOG NAME: Lily DOB:  7/11/2018 DOG BREED: Chihuahua mix GENDER:  Female HOUSE TRAINED:  Yes LOCATION:  Largo GOOD WITH KIDS: 12+ respectful GOOD WITH DOGS: some, no big dogs. *could be your one and only *If you have a current pup a meet and greet with pup will be required. GOOD WITH CATS: unknown COLOR: Cream FENCED YARD: Secure fenced yard required.

Hello everyone!  My name is Lily (AKA wiggle butt) because I am so happy to see you, even if I've seen you all day!!!  Are you looking for a new best friend?  I am a 7 lb, 5 yo chihuahua mix gal who loves snuggles, laps, kisses and more snuggles! Your lap or your arms are my favorite place to be as I will follow you everywhere. I will go outside to do my business, but you have to come with me because it’s a scary world out there and I’m a scaredy cat (um…dog). My mom takes me for walks with the other dogs here, but I haven't figured out if I'm a fan of the whole experience, I just don't understand this leash business. In the last week I've been venturing out to sniff with the other dogs, but then I run right back to moms feet. It’s going to take a while for me to get totally comfortable in a new place. I do like to explore the backyard, but I like to check in constantly to make sure mom is watching.  A fenced yard is required. I don't mind being in a crate for short periods of time, and my mom leaves us free and I'm good with that too.  I wouldn't like it if you left me alone for long periods of time, I’m just not the kind of doggie who likes to be alone much, I want to be with you as much as I can. I really need to be in a home where someone is home more often than not, k? A fenced yard is required.

I came from a place with lots and lots of dogs.  I get very scared when new dogs come near me, and for the first few days I was here, my mom had to feed me on the counter away from everybody because I was too afraid to eat.  If any of the other dogs came near me, I would abandon my bowl. I think that’s because of where I came from, huh?My mom can put my bowl on the floor now, but stands near me so I'm comfortable.  I think I would love to be your one and only, but If you already have a really low key dog, that may be ok; as long as you give me time to warm up to them.  I'm not good with new experiences, but once I'm comfortable you'll see my real personality come out.  If you have other dogs, similar size to me is best.

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention too! Maybe you wanna meet me? You can go to www.viprescue.org to fill out and adoption application and make sure to put my name on it. I sure hope my “fur” ever family is out there just waiting for a cutie like me!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Hi, my name is Ginger, a sweeter than sugar 15lb. senior poodle mix looking for my forever home. VIP Rescue scooped me up from animal control and is taking care of me like no other.

My foster mom and pups love me, they offered me a soft bed and yummy food. I love food, but I can be a little protective when my foster mom prepares our/my food. Probably has to do with the fact that I came to them a little thin, not sure where my “other” family went. But….I’m safe, loved and cared for now, and VIP promised me they’d find me the bestest family to love me FOREVER.

I would do best as your one and only or If you have a submissive pup, that might work, and a meet and greet would be required to make sure we’d be friends.

I do love my leash walks, a fenced yard is not required although I do enjoy a secure yard to bask in the sun at my leisure if you have one. I’m looking for a quieter adult only home to enjoy my senior years with, just hanging out on the couch, watching TV with you. I’ll adjust just fine and accept a new home/environment.. with minimal changes. You get it.. none of us like to much change at our age and are set in our ways!

A few things about me… I do seek out attention with ear rubs and back scratches. I sleep in an open crate at night and enjoy soft dog beds for naps. oh, umm, I don’t like being carried. Ha! Hope that’s ok!

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and started on heartworm and flea prevention. If you think I’m the girl for you please submit an application to www.viprescue.org

Hi there, my name is Squirt, a 2 year old terrier mix gal who my foster mom calls Ms. Happy, and everyone else I meet calls me Pretty Girl!   I’m just a happy go lucky girl looking for a new family to love me fur ever. I wag my tail when I see my humans, I get sooooo excited to see them! I enjoy it when I get ear rubs, and I do a little dance at meal times. I am housebroken and crate trained, and I like to take my naps in there too. I do well with the “2” legged little humans in my foster home, but I definitely prefer the “ Mom”. I enjoy being petted and to play some ball, that’s really fun. Foster Mom said I do well meeting other dogs, but I also think I’d do well as an only dog and to be your center of attention. I do like exploring with my Foster family, but I prefer the “ quieter” kind of life style for sure.

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention. If you’d like to meet me, ( which I sure hope you do!) please fill out an adoption application at www.viprescue.org, and the pawsome Volunteers here will take it from there!

If you are ready for a bouncy intelligent high-energy large pup, look no further. WINSTON will be a dedicated devoted companion. Winston would like the have a playmate in his new home that is similar in size.

MEETING WINSTON: He is fostered in Myakka City, FL. and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance. You will need to travel to Myakka City to meet WINSTON if your application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members and pets for the introduction meeting.

The GOLDENDOODLE BREED: WINSTON is tons of fun but he does require ALOT of work! Exercise in your fenced yard, leash walks, patience, and additional training on your family’s part to be the best dog he can be! Please do your homework on the breed, they are not for everyone. They are high energy, have a high-prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is fenced on all 4 sides with a minimum 6-foot fence. WINSTON is not recommended if you have children under 8. WINSTON is eager to learn, athletic, agile, wickedly smart, and a velcro dog. WINSTON want to be an active participant in your daily life. His average lifespan is typically 12-15 years, so keep their lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting WINSTON. Your age should be appropriate for his estimated lifespan. High quality food is essential. WINSTON requires monthly grooming and frequent brushing. Grooming ranges from $100-$200.

WINSTON HISTORY: WINSTON was a stray dog and was sent to the Animal Shelter. No one claimed WINSTON, so he came to VIP Rescue. We have no information or history on his past.

WINSTON MEDICAL: WINSTON is neutered, he is up to date on vaccines, preventatives, he is microchipped, and heartworm negative. He comes with a collar and leash.

WINSTON ADOPTION: VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adopting WINSTON.

Hi there, I’m Sammy, a happy, healthy, 19lb Cockapoo! I’m told I’m a cocker spaniel and poodle mix which gives me some interesting coloring and the most amazing honey brown eyes you’ve ever seen. I love people, leisurely leash walks, other pups and guess what else? I’m also potty and crate trained! I am my happiest sitting or laying close to you, and when I need a little extra lovin’, I’ll come over for pets and belly rubs. I would love to have another pup in my new home to play with and people who are home more often than not as I have a little separation anxiety. Do I sound like the guy for you? I sure hope so!

*** Are you looking for an awesome puppy? Do you love puppy snuggles? Then you may be the perfect match for this guy. She wants to be a part of all your activities and be next to you wherever life takes you. MAYA likes people, kids, and is dog-friendly. MAYA would love to be the center of your universe and will adore you! MAYA enjoys frequent walks and has excellent leash manners. She is housetrained and loves to run, romp, and do roomies in her fenced yard. As with many standard poodles, she is a master counter surfer if you are not at the top of your game with her. MAYA is well mannered, has mastered basic obedience, and is a very happy girl just waiting for that special person(s) to come along to complete her life. She would prefer not to be left at home for 4-6-8 hours at a time. MAYA loves to go places, ride in the car, and hang out with you wherever you go. In her past before rescue, she was crated at night and crated when no one was home. In her foster home, we are not crating her at night and she will happily snuggle with you! She appears to be in excellent heatlh, well socialized, and has a well-rounded personality with no behavioral issues. She is a perfect 10+. She would likely make an excellent Therapy Dog.

MAYA came to rescue retiring from her breeding career. She was owned by a groomer / breeder and is excellent for all grooming endeavors. MAYA is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped. She enjoys her walks several times daily and plays in the yard with her foster siblings. She requires frequent brushing and monthly grooming. Preference will be given to those with Standard Poodle experience. MAYA can offer you her unconditional love, loyalty, and affection. She is a great dog and someone is going to hit the jackpot with this amazingly well-adjusted attentive girl! You must have a 6 foot fence to adopt Maya. Let’s show Max some love by and sharing this post like crazy to help him find his “fur”ever family!!!

DOG NAME:  Max/Largo

DOB:  7/19/2010

DOG BREED: Malti-Poo

DOG WEIGHT:  17 lbs at intake – ***UPDATE 8-26-23 he weight 13.4 lbs – a few more to go.

GENDER:  Male

HOUSE TRAINED:  working on it, as long as he is taken out frequently.

LOCATION:  Largo, FL

GOOD WitH DOGS: Yes

COLOR:  white

Hi everyone, I’m Max!  I am an 13 years young 17 pound at intake (***UPDATE 8-26-23 he weight 13.4 lbs – a few more to go) malti-poo, and I hope it’s gonna be a LUCKY 13 where I get my new “hooman” “fur” ever home soon, wouldn’t that be “paw”some!

I recently came to VIP Rescue when my family moved away and couldn’t take me with them. The great folks here didn’t hesitate to take me under their wing. First stop was the dog-tor for a checkup. I had a dental cleaning and had a bump on the side of my mouth removed. It never seemed to bother me and it definitely didn’t stop me from eating! I was panting quite a bit, (heck, I was nervous with all these new faces around!) but Doc said there was no sign of any heart disease or murmur, and likely caused by my “Wittle chubbie” self and it should get better after I’ve lost a few pounds and maybe, just maybe, I can do a little more walking when it’s not so hot out!

Other than a quarterly cytopoint injection for my allergies, I am very healthy boy!   I have beautiful curly white hair that’ll need to kept groomed, so please keep that in mind if you’re wanting to adopt me.

Are you looking for a friend who will follow you wherever you go?  I’m very easy going and will find a nice place to nap in whatever room you are in. I do know what to do if you bring me outside, but I won’t tell you I need to go out though, so frequent potty breaks are a must!  Learning a new routine is a lot at my age, but my foster mom says I’m catching on quickly!  I’m not a fan of the outside (it is H.O.T.) so she carries me out to the grass. Then I go stand by the door until she lets me back into the AC. Ha!  I love taking short walks early in the morning, and maybe in the evening, and I will sit nicely while you put my harness on. I bark a little when foster Mom first leaves, and when she comes home, even after a short time away, I am usually asleep somewhere.  This could be because there are other dogs in this house so I’m not really alone. That being said, I get along with the other dogs; though I favor human company.   I DO NOT like to be left alone for long periods of time, so If you’re retired or work from home, that’ll work for me.

I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention.  What do you think?  Do I sound like the boy for you?  My foster mom thinks I’m super sweet.  Sometimes I give her ankle kisses just to let her know how happy I am.

I almost forgot, I know how to play fetch!  I found a little tennis ball in the toy box and we played a short game inside.  I’ve been told I can take the tennis ball with me!  I wasn’t interested in any of the squeaky toys, but I knew just what to do with that ball.  I have the picture to prove it too!!!

DOG NAME: Nikki/Redington

DOG BREED: Maltipoo

GENDER: Female

HOUSE TRAINED: Peepad trained working on house manners

LOCATION: Redington Beach

GOOD WITH KIDS: 12+ respectful

GOOD WITH DOGS: some, no big dogs. *could be your one and only *If you have a current pup and meet and greet with pup will be required.

GOOD WITH CATS: unknown

COLOR: White and tan

We’d like you to meet our new little sweetheart Nikki. She’s an adorable 5lb. 10 year old Maltipoo who will just melt your heart!

Nikki was surrendered to VIP Rescue from a “poor situation” in which she lived in for quite some time. She barely had any human contact, had to scrounge for her next meal, was very underweight, and terrified of the humans who failed her.

One of our Volunteers went to the “house” where she was “living”, it took some time, but eventually was able to safely get her out, and traveled many miles and hours to bring Nikki to her new foster home who was waiting with open arms to help her start her journey to a new and much better life!

Nikki was given a warm bath and groom, and a much needed healthy meal, and given time and patience to just “chill” to try and learn that not all humans are bad.

She quickly became “tinkle pad” trained, is learning leash walking, and has slowly gained some much needed weight! She absolutely loves snuggles from her foster Mom, sleeps in the human bed at night, and enjoys naps in one of the many doggie beds in her foster home. Nikki even gives occasional “smiles” to her foster as if she’s saying, I’m still very nervous, but thank you for saving me”.

Nikki will need an experienced, quieter adult only home, as she is still nervous of anything that moves fast or loud noises. She’d be ok as an “only child” or if you do have another pup at home, it must be a smaller, laid back, calm and gentle doggie. A meet and greet will be required.

Nikki will need a home where someone is home more often than not, preference will be given to those who are retired or work from home as we feel this is what’s best for her.

She will also require regular grooming, so please keep that expense in mind as well.

Nikki has been spayed, is current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental, and is on heartworm and flea prevention. We are going to be very particular when choosing her new family, and will only accept applications that meet her needs. We promised her we WILL find her that perfect “fur” ever home that she can relax in and enjoy her senior years with, one that she truly deserves. If you feel you meet ALL of her needs, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Who is up for the happiest lil’ girl around??? Well, I’m talking about MEEEEE of course! I’m Gigi and I’m a 5 years young Chihuahua mix gal, weighing in at about 10ish pounds, as I just finished weaning my very last litter of pups, and I can hardly wait to get my slim, trim girly figure back!

I’m looking for my very own furever home. Is that you?? I like to snuggle, go on leash walks, play with toys, and I also like to play a little with the other foster pup in my foster home. I like to be at the front of the line for petting, snuggles and lap time. I would do best with another pup in the home that is laid back and doesn’t mind sharing, that would be ok, but of course we would need to meet first.

I will go outside to do my business, my mom takes me for short walks with the other dogs here, and I get really excited if I see a squirrel or a bird. Hang on tight cuz I will try to chase them! If you have a fenced yard, I do like to explore the backyard, a fenced yard is required. I love to explore new things, so if you take me places I will smile the entire time. I don’t like to be left alone for long periods of time, I’m just not the kind of doggie who likes to be alone much. I want to be with you as much as I can. I really need to be in a home where someone is home more often than not, k?

So, now to talk about the “other” stuff. When I got to VIP, we found out I am heart worm positive, but don’t let that stop you from adopting me! VIP Rescue covers all the expenses for my treatment, but you do need to live within 1 hour of the St Petersburg area to take me to my date-sensitive appointments with the rescue vet for my treatment. I’ll also need to take it slow for a while, no long walks or romping/zoomies in the yard until the vet says it’s ok. My VIP friends will explain everything to you in detail.

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention.

Maybe you wanna meet me? Please go to www.viprescue.org to fill out and adoption application and make sure to put my name on it. I sure hope my “fur” ever family is out there just waiting for a cutie like me!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Hi Friends! My name is Betty, and I’m a 4 1/2 year old 14lb. PUPDATE as of 8-21-23 12 lbs (only 3 or 4 more to go) Min Pin mix gal searching for a new start in life. I recently came to VIP when my humans could no longer care for me, but that’s all behind me now because my new friends here promised they would find a super forever family for me!

As you can see, I could stand to lose a “few pounds” so “they” tell me, but I just say there’s more of me to love, right? Ha! But seriously, my foster parents are feeding me properly so I can now shed those extra “pounds”. Enough about that stuff, let’s talk about MEEEEEE!!!!!

I’m a real sweetheart, even been told I’m a snuggle bunny (these humans and their descriptions sure are funny!) I get along well with other doggies and even cats! If you have little humans (ya know, the 2 legged ones?) they should be 10+, k? I’m getting the hang of this potty training stuff, but am still a work in progress, I have learned to use peepads, but I’m sure my new family will help me continue my “training”. I love leash walks and I even prance and run a little bit when we first head out for a walk. Losing some of the extra weight has made me appreciate the hard work it has been getting me back on track to a healthy weight. I do get scared when I hear loud noises, like fireworks and thunder, and I do bark when that happens, so please don’t leave me alone for too long. Ideally, my new family should either work from home, or are retired but please don’t be gone for more than 4 hours at a time, k?

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention. I am ready to rolllllllll! Let’s go!!!! lol… Do I sound like the gal for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. I really hope to meet you soon! Love and tail wags, Betty a/k/a the “Snuggle Bunny”

Hello friends, my name is Rufus and I am just the cutest little boy you ever did see. I am a 6 year old Terrier mix and a perfect size at around 16lbs. I love walks and playing with my foster sister, and I love wrestling with her and I’m also learning that I like to play with all the new toys around. I would do best with another similar size pup already established in the home. I am great with meeting new friends and their “pawrents” and enjoy exploring at my foster house. My foster mom and dad say that I am such a sweet boy that is the perfect mix of playfulness and calmness. Pretty good with the house training thing as long as I’m taken out enough. I also love snuggles and sleeping in the big bed with my foster mom and dad. I would be a great addition to your family if you are looking for the bestest little boy around.

If you have kids in the home 12+ years, please. I’ve told you all the great things about myself, now I say, “that’s a wrap”! How about it? Do you think I’m the boy for you? If so, please go to www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application, k? Hope to meet you soon!

PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO!!

What’s up peeps! My name is “ChaCha” and I’m a 7lb happy,  bouncy and yes, you guessed it, “dancy pants” 1 year old toy poodle mix pup. I just love to dance and play every.time.I.see. you!

First, let’s get the “ugly” stuff of how I got here out of the way, then we can focus on MEEEEEE!

I was found with a rubber bands tied around my snout, and it had been there for quite some time because it was embedded and cut into my muzzle…ouch…The very kind person that found me brought me right to the “Dog”ter so they could give me the medical treatment I needed. After a few weeks, I was healed and am ok now, and I do have a “smiley” face all the time partly due to damage from the cruel thing that happened to me, and partly because I’m so dang happy now I DO smile!

I am one lucky pup because now I’m with the great folks at VIP Rescue who told me I am safe, will be loved and taken care of and they will find me the perfect new family who will love me forever. I can leave all that nasty stuff behind me now.

Foster Mom says I’m a high energy pup who will keep you on your toes for sure. My favorite place to be is wherever you are, I’m a little shy and scared, but, who can blame me? I do go outside to do my business, but “Mom” needs to come with me because I get nervous. There’s other little doggies here at my foster home, and we go for walks and I get to do all kinds of “sniffys “ along our walk! I love playing in the yard and doing “zoomies” and it also kinda burns off some of my energy. I will require a secured fenced in yard, (no exceptions) and since I don’t like to be left alone for long periods of time, I’ll need a family that’s home more often than not, my preference would be someone who works from home. I could be your one and only, but if you do have a really low key submissive similar sized pupper already, we’d have to meet to make sure we get along, k?

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am on heartworm and flea prevention as well. If you think you’re the family for me, (remember you MUST be active to keep up with me!) please visit www.viprescue.org and put my name, ChaCha on the application!  Hope to meet you soon!

Applications that don’t meet my requirements will be not be processed and will be closed.

Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for me (might be the best decision of your life!)

Any incomplete application will NOT be processed. You should also call your Veterinarian’s office and give your permission for us to speak with them to gather the necessary information we need to process any applications. Failure to do so will result in your application being closed.

Standard Adoption Requirements: You must be a resident of FL., and be at least 25 years of age.  This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting. Your age should be appropriate for ChaChas estimated lifespan.

COLOR: Black/Tan

Hi there, my name is Nick, and I’m a 5 1/2 year old 15lb “scruffy terrier” type boy! My foster Mom and Dad say I’m one of the sweetest, most well mannered fosters they’ve ever had! I have lots of love to give to my new family, and I’m just the right size for snuggles. I’m pretty great at the potty outside thing as long as you let me out often. I’m very calm and respectful of the other pups in my foster home, and would really prefer to have another doggie of similar size in my new home. I love toys. I’ll give you kisses if you want them, and, Oh, I LOVE to catch water coming out of the hose! Ha! I do like sleeping in the “hooman” bed, but am also quite content in my doggie bed. I’m truly a gem. I haven’t been cat tested, but I probably would be respectful of them. I am crate trained as well.

I am heart worm positive but don’t let that stop you from adopting me! VIP Rescue covers all expenses for my treatment, but you do need to live within 1 hour of the St Petersburg area to take me to my date sensitive appointments with the “dog”ter for my treatment. I’ll also need to take it slow for a while, no long walks or romping in the yard until my “dog”ter tells us it’s ok. My VIP friends will explain everything to you in detail. I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention.

If you are looking for a GREAT companion please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application! Thanks for reading about me, and I really hope to meet my new family soon!

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 13-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue.

SNITCH / TAVARES, FLORIDA

ADOPT SNITCH / Tavares, Florida www.viprescue.org

DOB: 6/3/2022 Breed: Miniature Poodle Weight: 18 lbs. Gender: Male House trained: Yes Location: Tavares, FL Color: Gray / White Gets along with cats: Unknown Gets along with Dogs: Yes – he wants to play non-stop.

ADOPTION RESTRICTIONS: -You must be a resident of FL -Requires a fenced yard in a single-family home. -No children under 12, no renters.

Wow, wait till you meet this busy boy! SNITCH just came into Rescue, and boy oh boy, he is a real charmer. He’s 13 months old, weighs in at 18 lbs. and is a healthy and happy Miniature Poodle! SNITCH is an “extremely” active puppy with typical puppy behaviors and energy. He’ll be looking for an active family to keep up with all his antics, to go on leash walks with him, and play fetch in the yard. He is very food and toy driven, so he is easy to manage. If there is another dog in the adopters home that likes to play non-stop, he would love to have someone to run and chase and play. However, he could also be a one and only pup as he craves your attention. He can be a good snuggle buddy too! You can take Snitch with you, he is a good passenger in the car. He knows some commands, but needs more practice. He tends to be mouthy with hands and we recommend training with his new family to curb this habit.

SNITCH requires a fenced yard. If there are kids in the home, they should be at least 12 years old. He is used to being crated when he cannot be supervised, and will go into his crate easily and readily. He loves toys, and wants you to engage and interact with him. He does not have an off switch – so don’t waste your time looking for it. If you are gone a lot of hours, he’s not the guy for you. SNITCH came to us not house trained. His foster home has worked with him and he is now potty-trained there. He lets you know he has to go while standing by the back door, and you must pay attention and act fast. Once he understands his environment, and knows where to go, he does well. A new home will take a few days for him to become acclimated. SNITCH will require monthly grooming and frequent brushing, so please keep that expense and commitment in mind if you’re considering Snitch. Grooms range from $50-$150.

SNITCH is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. His bags are packed, and he’s ready to move into his “fur”ever home!

Hello Florida! My name is Nora, an adorably sweet 6lb.,10 years young Maltese girl. I love to hang out in the A/C, who knew Florida could be so hot? I do like to go for short walks when it is cool outside, then when I come in from my walk, I’d love to sit in your lap and get belly rubs! Or…..I’ll nap in my own doggie bed like a good girl!

I would love to have a human or 2 in my new family, If you have a doggie I am ok with similar sized pup(s), I don’t know if I would be ok with a cat. If you have the 2 legged kiddos, I’m thinking maybe 12+ would be ok.  I am a totally laid back lady and prefer a quieter home. I do have some medical issued that VIP Rescue has under control and I will need some medicine daily. I do have dry eye and get ointment twice daily and I have a little bit of a heart murmur and get some yummy meds to help me so it doesn’t get worse or affect my activity. My foster mom can tell you all about that if you are interested in taking me home, and honestly, it’s not a big deal at all.

I seem to be mostly house trained ( I’m still perfecting it) and I’ve used the pee pads inside and go outside when prompted. Of course I’m going to need to get into a routine in my new home, but I’m sure with your help I’ll have it down pat in no time!

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am on my heartworm and flea prevention and also had a recent dental.  Might I be the gal for you? Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you very soon!

Single Family home: no apartments, no townhome, no duplexes.

Hi name is Levi, an adorably sweet 18lb.,1 and 1/2 year old Parsons Terrier/Terrier mix. My foster mom says I’m the cutest guy with a crazy over bite, she says it gives me character! (silly Mommy)  I haven’t had a great start to life, I have been bounced around a little to much in my short life. I have some separation anxiety, and with that being said, I need a home where there is a human home most, if not all of the time and I really need a furry playmate in my new home. That’s not asking too much is it?  I love to play, wrestle and do zoomies!  I love to go for walks when it is cool outside, and then come in for some belly rubs! I really like playing with my toys and just about everything else except being separated from my human.  Until I get settled in I will be with you wherever you go, so don’t go get the mail without me or close a door with me on the other side.

I would love to have a human or 2 (or more) for my new family, you also need to have a doggie or 2 or 3, either bigger or smaller, just as long as we can play!  I don’t know if I would be ok with a cat, with my energy, it would have to be a playful cat. If you have kids they should be maybe 8+ I think that would be ok. If you are on the go and I can go with you that would be ok too. If I get separated from you, I bark and talk so you can find me again. I would need a single family home preferably with a fenced in yard. No apartments, condos, townhomes or duplexes, cuz, like I said, I like to “talk” when I can’t be with you!  My foster mom can tell you all about my separation anxiety if you are interested in taking me home. If I don’t sound like the boy for you, please view the other adoptable pups on our website Viprescue.org.

I seem to be mostly house trained, I just need to get out often and of course I’m going to need to get into a routine in my new home, but I’m getting there!

Hi everyone, my name is Mary, a 3 year old 18lb terrier mix gal who is a very friendly, high energy girl. As you can see, I’m an attractive young lady if I do say so myself, and have the happiest of tails and a great easy going personality. I get along with other dogs and quickly became a central part of the pack, I really love everyone, including kids, and would love to be in a house with other dogs and kids, I think I even get along with the “feline” type! A little secret about me….shhhhhh…Kisses are one of my specialties! Just give me room to run and I’ll be good; a big backyard with a 6 foot fence and I’ll be in doggie heaven. Did I mention that I have “lots” of energy?? Ha! I’ll definitely need an active family to keep up with me!

I quickly learned the dog doors, but am still working on my “potty training” as my foster Mom calls it. I’m very curious too, and maybe a little nosy as I try to participate in everything and I mean everything! “Mom” says I’m a good girl on the leash and enjoy a short walk when it’s not so hot out.

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am on heartworm and flea prevention.

Hi peeps, My name is Marshmallow, an adorably sweet 16lb.,1 1/2 year old terrier mix girl. Do you like kisses? I LOVE to give kisses. I also love to sit in your lap and get belly rubs, which leads to more kisses!

I would love to have some friends to play with in my new family, either doggie friends or human friends (I like to chase the kitties if they run, so I’d be better with just doggies or human friends) I have a lot of puppy energy and I really would like playmates. Another pup similar in size in my new home would be really cool! I need a big fenced yard to run around in to burn off some of this energy in me!  I love to sleep next to my human (or on them) in the “big bed” or in my own doggie bed.

I seem to be mostly house trained ( I’m still perfecting it) and I’ve used the pee pads inside and go outside. Of course I’m going to need to get into a routine in my new home, but I have a head start.

HOUSE TRAINED: Almost, when you get her out frequently and she needs a little time once she is out on the leash.

LOCATION: Indian Rocks Beach. FL

COLOR: Cream

Hi friends, it’s me, Georgia! I’m an active and very playful 1 year old 12lb shih tzu/maltese mix little girl.

My foster mom says I am one of the most affectionate and easy going dogs she has ever fostered!! I love snuggles & cuddles, play time, toys, walk time, car rides and am very social with everyone I have met in my adventures.

When I first got here, we had to do a little practice with me getting used to going potty while walking on a leash. I’ve pretty much got the hang of that now, just be sure to not rush me, give me time to do the “sniffies” to find the perfect spot to do my business and we’ll be good. I have very good leash manners and am an easy dog to walk. If you take me out regularly and often until we get to know each others routines, I’ll have this “housebroken” thing down pat in no time!

My hair is kinda short right now, I had to get shaved when I got here because I was so matted and quite a hot mess. My hair will grow back, so keep that in mind because I’ll need regular grooming to keep me looking my very best!

I absolutely love other friendly and playful dogs similar in size to me. (no big doggies please) playing and sharing toys and beds with my doggie friends is good, but my favorite thing is to do with my friends is zoomies and wrestle. I could be an only dog, so long as you are my playmate and you have friends with dogs that I could play with too. Or, I could join a home with an already established friendly, similar size pup (which I definitely prefer). I don’t want to be left alone for long periods of time, so if you work full time outside the home, I’m just not the pup for you, but please take a look at the other doggie’s available for adoption here at VIP.

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention. Does it sound like we could be each others forever? I’m ready to find my “fur”ever home! Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application

LOCATION: Holiday. FL

COLOR: Black and Tan

Hi Friends! My name is Betty, and I’m a 4 1/2 year old 14lb. Min Pin mix gal searching for a new start in life.

I’m getting the hang of this potty training stuff, but am still a work in progress, but I’m sure my new family will help me continue my “training”.

Miso/Redington Beach

Miso/Redington Beach

www.viprescue.org

DOB: 12/15/2022

Breed: Brenadoodle mix

Weight : 19 lbs current weight

Gender: Male

House trained: Yes, as long as I get out often.

Location: Redington Beach FL

Color: Gray / White

Gets along with cats: NO

Gets along with Dogs : Yes – similar sized or larger

ADOPTION RESTRICTIONS:

-You must be a resident of FL

-Requires a 6-foot fenced yard in a single-family home.

-No children under 12, no renters

Wow, wait til you hear about this boy! Miso just came into Rescue, and boy oh boy, is he a handsome dude! He’s a 7 month old, 19 lb. (current weight) Benradoodle mix maybe Sheepdog mix? Sheepdoodle…The guesses continue! lol….Miso is an “extremely” active puppy with typical puppy behavior and energy. He’ll be looking for an active family (no couch potatoes for this boy) to keep up with all his antics, another pup his size or a bit bigger in the home would be a good idea, so he’ll have a friend to play with and learn to be a dog . He’ll also need a family that will continue working with his puppy training (including house manners) so he can grow up to be the best boy ever.

Miso requires a family who owns their own single family home (sorry, no rentals for Miso) with a 6 ft secured fenced in yard. If there are kids in the home, they should be at least 12+. He’ll also require someone to be home most of the time, as he does have some separation issues, so if you work part time (no more than 4 hours a day total) or work from home, that is definitely preferred, If you are gone a lot, he’s not the guy for you. Best guess is he’ll be “roughly” 30-40 lbs full grown, possibly bigger, so if you’re looking for a “little” please look at our other dog’s available for adoption. Miso will require regular grooming, so keep that in mind if you’re interested in him. Miso is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention, his bags are packed, and he’s ready to move into his “fur”ever home! Visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 12-15 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

Yes Fence in Yard Required.

Hi everyone! My name is Solo, a 7 pound whirlwind of activity. I’m fully grown, but still have tons of puppy energy. I was originally found as a stray with no ID and no one came forward to claim me 🙁 but thankfully I got to come to VIP Rescue and now have an amazing foster home and the opportunity to find my forever home!

As I said, I have a lot of energy. I want to investigate everything, and I’ll follow you wherever you go. I love playing with my foster “sister” and going with her to “investigate” the backyard. Once I’m done playing, I want to curl up on my humans lap and nap, as I LOVE to snuggle. I’m still trying to learn this housebreaking thing, kinda like a work in progress you might say as I’m still working on inside vs. outside behavior, and my foster siblings are helping me with that! I love going for walks! I get so excited, I spin in circles and try to run, run, run! Sometimes I try to run so fast, I end up hopping like a kangaroo to try to go, go, go. I’ll definitely need to wear a very secure harness to go on walks, just because I love to run! You’ll have to protect me from myself, I don’t want to be a street dog again, that’s no life for a great fella like me! I really need a fenced in backyard and maybe a home with another small, high energy dog to play with. I do not like when my foster mom leaves the house, even for a short time. I have to wear belly bands because I get nervous. Even if you let me out before you leave, I can’t help myself. This may improve as I get more confident and secure now that I’m safe. I would not do good with a family who is gone all day, if you work from home or work just a few hours, that should be ok, but if you’re gone all day, I’m definitely not the pup for you. I must have an active energetic family too, cuz, again, I’ve got the most puppy energy Mom has seen in a while! I do NOT like being crated, I cry horribly. Though I sometimes like to take a nap in a crate, I want the door to remain open.

When I first got here, I kept getting an upset tummy. Mom changed my food to a smaller kibble sensitive stomach food and it seemed to help. I gobble down my food and any other food that I can find. (probably cuz I learned to survive on what I could on the streets) With my sensitive stomach, it is best not to give me a broad range of food or allow me to steal others food (I totally will) For now, easy to swallow and easy to digest is best. I love chewing on the bones Mom has all over. However, I want to hoard them, It doesn’t matter how many I have, I want the one the other dogs are chewing on! I will engage in distraction and stealth maneuvers to steal from the dogs and build my hoard. I protect my hoard like Scrooge McDuck protects his gold. Only from other dogs though, Mom can take the bones away from me without any issue, then I sit and wait to steal them back, Ha!

I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on heartworm and flea prevention. Do you think I am the dog for you!? If so, please complete an application at VIPRescue.org. I can’t wait to find my “fur”ever home!!

Hattie / Holiday, FL Available for Adoption VIPRescue.org Dog Name Hattie DOB: 03/28/2021 Breed: Min Pin/terrier/doxie mix Weight : 15 lbs Gender: Female House trained: Almost, as long as she is taken out frequently Gets along with cats: unknown Gets along with Dogs: yes

Hi there everyone, I’m Hattie, a 15 lb. 2 year old adorable Min Pin/terrier/doxie mix, or who knows, it really doesn’t matter, because I’m cute, bubbly, and pretty attractive if I do say so myself! Ha! I recently came to this great State of Florida with some friends, so we can have a much better life. Yeah!

I’m doing good with this “housebreaking” thing they talk about, and most of the time I know when I have to go outside. It’s just that sometimes I forget in my excitement, so you’ll need to help me continue my “training” and I should have it down pat in no time! Sometimes I get soooooooo excited I have to be reminded to just “chill” a bit. Got tons of energy I guess, so I’ll definitely need an active family, no couch potatoes for me, and a fenced in yard would be great too. I’m good on a leash, and I really do like my toys. Since I like to play and get along with other dogs, another similar sized doggie in the home would be best for me. Cats, maybe? I haven’t met any yet, so I’m not sure about that, maybe I should just stick to the doggies, huh? Older respectful kids should be no problem, actually, since I’m so playful I think I’d really like to have some “kid” siblings, as long as they aren’t too young, say 13+? I do have a touch of anxiety, like loud sudden noises and things like “thunder” really startle me, so the more people around me the better, right? My ideal family won’t leave me alone for too long, (ya know, that “anxiety” stuff) so if you work from home, or work part time that’d be good. If everybody works full time outside the home, then I’m just not the girl for you.

I’m current on all my vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Could you be the one to make my dreams come true? My “fur” ever family? If you think so, please complete an application at VIPRescue.org and the great people there will begin the process. I can’t wait to meet you!

Princess Hope / Lutz, FL

Dog Name: Princess Hope / Lutz DOB: 04/15/2013 Breed: Yorkshire Terrier mix Weight : 12 lbs Gender: Female House trained: Yes, when let out often Location: Lutz, Fl Gets along with cats: Unknown Gets along with Dogs : Yes – but needs to be only pup in home.

Princess has been so easy to foster! Once we broke through the language “barker”, she is very clear when she needs something. A few barks to let us know she is either hungry, has to go out or lonely.

She walks great on a leash, loves tummy rubs and is such a happy little girl.

Her hair is growing back nicely, she doesn’t fuss when getting her bath or her eye ointment.

She is going to make a someone a lucky pet parent!

Hi friends, my name is Princess Hope! I’m a 10 years young, (I act like I’m 6, heeeheee) Yorkshire Terrier, maybe Norfolk Terrier mix gal who weighs about 12 lbs. When I got here to VIP Rescue, I needed some much needed TLC and Vet care, which, of course, I got! I was a bit of a hot mess. My skin was itchy and I had lost most of my hair and my sight is not the best, but you betcha I can hear everything! If you call my name I come trotting to you. I am a pro at the leash, and am working on walks with my foster siblings that are making me feel welcome. I have love leash walks as I have been getting a lot of practice the past few weeks. I get medicated baths every week to 10 days to help my skin and hair recover. See my update photos, I am getting my hair back!!! Foster Mommy gives me yummy food. If you can see past the wrinkles and sparse hair, I’m a beautiful, sweet, happy, loving little girl, busy girl.

My favorite thing is to sleep on the back of my foster moms chair while she works from home. I love sniffy walks, going new places, treats, and of course, companionship and attention. I will require regularly medicated baths until my beautiful locks return and then scheduled grooming appointments (as mentioned when my hair grows back :-), so please consider the extra cost of that prior to submitting your application. If you cannot afford and are not willing to have me professionally groomed on a regular basis, like every 8-10 weeks, I am not the dog for you. Please consider one of my fellow short haired, non grooming required rescue friends instead.

I get along great with other friendly dogs, and I love most everyone that I have met! I would do best as an only dog, I need a home were you spend LOTS of time with me, as I do not want to be at home by myself for extended hours. If you work full time outside of the home, I’m really not the pup for you. Keep me on regular potty schedule and I’m pretty much housebroken. When my foster mom and siblings wake up, my foster mom gets me outside first thing and this has helped start everyday on the right track. I love to be outside and sun myself, but not too much until my hair is grown back and only when it’s cool outside, k?

I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea and heartworm prevention. Oh, and I also had a dental at the “dog”ter! if you think you might be the family for me, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org

Both are very smart, they know commands, are good leash walking, are house-trained, and enjoy play time. They love riding in the car, they have a lot of energy to burn – they are not couch potatoes. MEETING CARMELLA AND IMANI: The two dogs are fostered in Myakka City, FL. and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance. You will need to travel to Myakka City to meet them if your application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members and pets for the introduction meeting.

STANDARD POODLE BREED: Standard Poodles are highly intelligent. They require abundant exercise in your fenced yard, leash walks, patience, and mental stimulation on your family’s part. Please do your homework on the Standard Poodles breed, they are not for everyone. They are high energy, have a high-prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is secured on all 4 sides. Standard Poodles are eager to learn, they are athletic, agile, wickedly smart, and are very versatile velcro dogs. They want to be an active participant in your daily life. High quality food is essential and not cheap. Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, and frequent brushing. Grooming ranges from $100-$200 for each dog. They love being around people and are able to form bonds with each member of the family, as opposed to bonding with just one person. They also make superb watchdogs barking zealously when strangers approach the home. Poodles may look dainty and demur, but in truth, these are high-stamina dogs with a stellar range of skills.

MEDICAL: Imani and Carmella have been spayed, they are up to date on vaccines, preventatives, they are microchipped, and heartworm negative. We are not aware of any health issues.

**INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CLOSED**

What a pretty little senior girl we have for adoption! Sweet Tricia is an 11 year old Shih tzu mix gal who weighs just 11.8 lbs. When Tricia came to us, she wasn’t in the best shape, and from the looks of her she was most likely used for breeding. That has all changed now, and with your help, love and patience, let’s give her a great life. She was severely matted upon intake, and needed a dental, a spay, a hernia repair and a skin tag removed. Wow… Tricia got all that and more. Spa day was first, we did our best to keep as much of her beautiful hair as we could and got rid of the nasty matted mess she accumulated. The places where she got the short hair cut will grow back and match up with the rest of her coat in no time. She got a “paw”dicure which she desperately needed and a cute little bow when the groom and bath were completed. Next it was a trip to the “dog”ter, where she started with a dental (a few teeth needed to be removed (actually one fell out on its own, ugh. 🙁 then the spay, hernia repair and last but not least the lumpy bump removed. She is now on the road to recovery and most definitely a better life!

Tricia loves to sleep in the human bed, doggy bed(s) or anywhere soft she can find. She is house trained when let out frequently, and enjoys her walks. She doesn’t care to be left alone for long periods of time, so if you are retired or work from home that would be ideal. Don’t let the age fool you, she is an active spooky girl, 11 years old going on 6years old. LOL. She is looking for an family that will keep up with her.

Tricia loves other pups and would do well with a similar sized pup in the home, she is also good with a kitty sibling .

Tricia is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, had a fresh dental, is microchipped and current on her flea and heartworm prevention.

If you think you might be the family for her, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident, and to qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care.

Hi friends, my name is Louie! Louie in Largo, hehe that rhymes! I’m an 11 year young Poodle/Chihuahua mix, and a smiley happy playful guy who weighs about 16 pounds. I have one ear that has a mind of its own, ha! It is usually standing up for attention. A little about my background, I was originally adopted from VIP Rescue in 2012 when I was just a wee puppy, and due to circumstances beyond my control, my family had to surrender me back to VIP Rescue.

I am a laid back, easy going, kinda guy. I love to snuggle and cuddle and go for short walks or hang out in a fenced yard if you have one. It was discovered last year when I was taken to the “dog”ter for a dental cleaning that I have a heart murmur. I am on medicine that I take 2 times daily to help me stay healthy. I do have a little cough when I get excited, this is one of the symptoms with the heart murmur. The doctor said it is nothing to worry about.

My favorite thing is to eat, I need some help with portion control as I am a little overweight. I love sniffy walks, going new places, treats, and of course, companionship and attention. I have hair and it grows and will require grooming and maintenance. Please keep this in mind when considering me for adoption. I am potty trained as long as I get out frequently.

I get along great with other friendly dogs and cats, and I love most everyone that I have met! I would do well in a home with another little dog that is friendly and well socialized or I could also be an only dog, as long as you spend LOTS of time with me, as I do not want to be at home by myself for extended hours. If you work full time outside of the home, I’m really not the pup for you.

I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention.

Harper Lee

HARPER LEE / OSTEEN, FLORIDA

BREED: Standard Poodle

Age: estimate 4 yrs old

Weight: 50

Sex: Spayed Female

Color: Red/White

Gets along with: dogs, cats, kids, adults.

MEET Harper Lee. I am an amazing 50 lb female Standard Poodle. I love people, kids, dogs, and cats and my personality is a perfect 10! I am a cute Southern Belle, and I have exemplary manners. I have the ingenuity to make an excellent Therapy Dog due to my calm loving nature. At my field trip to a baseball game, I was a good greeter! When I meet new people, my entire hind end wags in eager anticipation of making yet another friend that will adore me! Harpers former owner said she is 4 years old. Harper would be a great dog if you work from home, or can take your dog to work.

MORE ABOUT HARPER: I am a happy content very sweet girl, and I am a velcro-dog. I make leash walking enjoyable, and will follow your lead and not stray from you. I would love to accompany you when you go places and take rides in your car. I am content being a couch potato looking longingly into your eyes. My foster mom says I am the perfect houseguest; Harper is housetrained, and knows many commands including Sit, Come, and NO! She readily tolerates bathing and grooming. Harper would be happy to sleep in your bed, however, if that is not allowed you just need to tell her, and she will gladly lay next to you in her bed. Noises and thunder don’t ruffle her feathers, which is another great trait! Her foster Mom leaves a crate with an open door for her to come and go as she pleases in the home. Harper prefers to go with you when you leave, and has been known to voice some dissatisfaction. As with any Standard Poodle, Harper does not like to be left alone. However, we have found that if she has company with another dog, she does much better. It is a matter of getting her into a routine, setting an expectation, and she will be respectful.

HISTORY: Harper’s former owner gave her to VIP Rescue in March as her skin on her upper torso was very itchy and infected with hair loss. They were unable to expend the resources needed for her care and they lived in a preserve with no water or electricity. Since coming into rescue, Harper has overcome the skin infection with oil rubs and baths, supplements, and a quality diet – she is now happy and healthy. VIP Rescue tested Harpers skin, and she was diagnosed with Sebaceous Adentitis (SA) which is common in Standard Poodles. It appears it is in remission at this time. Hair has since filled in where there was hair loss.

MEDICAL: Harper is up to date on her vaccines, has been spayed, is heartworm negative, up to date on preventatives, and microchipped. Harper has been allergy tested and we are aware what foods she is sensitive to avoid in her diet. She loves to be cooked for, and is also eating some raw and kibble. She loves sardines! She takes several supplements as a preventative for SA and has special shampoo.

MEETING HARPER: She is fostered in Osteen, Florida 32764, and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance. You will need to travel to OSTEEN to meet Harper Lee if your adoption application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members and pets for the introduction meeting. She has been fostered in a home with two Standard Poodle males.

The STANDARD POODLE BREED: Standard Poodles are eager to learn, they are athletic, agile, wickedly smart, and are very versatile velcro dogs. They want to be an active participant in your daily life. High quality food is essential and not cheap. Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, frequent brushing, and Harper is no exception. Grooming ranges from $100-$200. When my foster mom and siblings wake up, my foster mom gets me outside first thing and this has helped start everyday on the right track. I love to be outside and sun myself, and zooms, I love zoomies but please know my particular breed is also more prone to heat exhaustion, so a 15-minute walk or play session in the cooler evenings will give me plenty of physical activity. I’ll save the zoomies for when I’m in the air conditioned house on those warm days!

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea and heartworm prevention.

Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your family’s part to be the best pup they can be! They need love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! Their little bladders can’t hold it all day so please make sure you can commit to the puppy not being left alone for long periods of time. If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle!

Please visit www.viprescue.org. and fill out an adoption application. We are all Volunteers at VIP Rescue, with jobs and families of our own. Please be kind and patient while we process applications. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Lexxi and Zuess / Redington Beach

Lexxi and Zuess / Redington Beach – BONDED PAIR

Available for adoption

VIPRescue.org

Dog Name: Lexxi and Zuess / Bonded Pair

DOB: 11/28/2011 Breed:

Maltese Weight: 7 lbs each

Gender: Female / Lexxi and Male/ Zuess

House trained: Not yet / working on house manners

Location: Redington Beach, FL

Gets along with cats: Unknown

Gets along with dogs: Yes

**INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CLOSED**

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Lexxi and Zuess are a BONDED pair. You must adopt both dogs together. All adopters must be a resident of FL. You must own your home. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care.

Lexxi and Zuess are a bonded pair of sweethearts that recently came into Rescue. They had been neglected with regards to grooming, nutrition and veterinary care. Our director could see past the neglect and quickly agreed to take them in. The veterinarian that did their wellness check found extensive dental disease and hair loss with skin issues in both dogs and additionally Zuess had a fatty tumor on his chest the size of a walnut. They were not in the best condition as seen on the initial exam and needed more vet care asap. But first up was a spa day with scrubby medicated baths and nail trims. We scheduled them to go to the “dog”ter for the earliest appointments. Lexxi was in need of a major dental cleaning and had 4 teeth extracted. Zuess was in worse shape and had 11 teeth extracted and the fatty lumpy bump removed (no concern or issue with lumpy bump thank goodness). After a few days of R & R, love, cuddles and meals with soft food, they are both back to being happy pups, you would never know they’re seniors!

As is usual with a bonded pairs, one is a little more outgoing, that is Lexxi and the other is more of a follower, that would be Zuess. We believe them to be litter mates who are 11 years young and weighing in at 7 pounds each.

Lexxi is adventurous, she loves to be out in the fenced back yard, and sniffy / smelling everything, and her foster mom says she is usually sunning herself and loving it. When she is not outside she has hopped up on the couch and is curled up for an afternoon snooze. She is great on leash walks and is getting the hang of house manners, usually taking her business outside.

Zuess is usually close by and not far away from Lexxi. He doesn’t seem as interested in outdoors and the “sunning himself” part. He is working on house manners and is sporting a fashionable belly band when in the house and free to piddle anywhere and everywhere when outside. Zuess prefers doggy beds around his foster home for naps, and the human bed at night for a snuggle up to sleep. We found out this weekend Zuess is not fond of thunderstorms, he did get more comfortable when he had a snuggle/thundershirt on.

They are both easy going and would do well with another similar sized pup in the home or as the only 2 puppers in the home. They have not been kid or cat tested. We would recommend an adult only home as they are so small and prefer a quieter environment, and a home where their humans are home more often than not.

Lexxi is spayed, Zuess is neutered, they are up to date on vaccines, had fresh dentals, are microchipped and current on flea and heartworm prevention.

With your help, love and patience, let’s give these two a quiet, loving home to live their best life. They both have hair and will require regular brushing, bathing and scheduled grooming, please keep these expenses in mind if you are considering adopting these two sweeties.

If you think you might be the family for Lexxi and Zeuss, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org.

Welcome to the tail wag club! I am a Terrier / Chihuahua / Dachshund mix puppy looking for my fur-ever homes. Aren’t I cute, I am a high energy puppy that loves to play, chase, explore, chew, cuddle, and nap. My Mommy is Keegan, she got “dopted” recently, (yeah for Mommy!) – (photo included). She was about 12 lbs or so, BUT….we DON’T know who our Daddy was, therefore, we have NO IDEA how big I’ll get! Could be 15, 20, or even 30+ lbs.! Please keep that in mind, ok?

I am rocking the pee-pad training and then will graduate to potty training and leash training, (of course with your guidance) If you’re a really active human and you are willing and able to accept this challenge and welcome me into your heart and home, I might be the pupper for you! Maisey / Holiday

Maisey / Holiday

Available for adoption

VIPRescue.org

Dog Name: Maisey / Holiday

DOB: 9/28/2012

Breed: Lhasa Apso / Havanese mix

Weight: 13 lbs Gender: Female

House trained: Yes, as long as she is let out frequently

Location: Holiday, FL

Gets along with cats: Unknown

Gets along with dogs: Yes

**INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CLOSED**

Maisy is a beautiful 11 year old girl who is thought to be a Lhasa Apso / Havanese mix gal who weighs 13 lbs. When she got to us, she had kennel cough ( similar to a people cold) and was immediately prescribed medicine for it and we gave her lots of time to relax and recuperate before she got the big stuff done at the “dog”ter office.

Maisy hit the jackpot when she landed with VIP Rescue. We love her. She is a sweet girl who is house trained as long as you get her out frequently. She loves walks as well as hanging out with her foster siblings in the back yard. A fence is not required as long as she is on a leash when she is outside.

We promised Maisey to give her the best life from here on in. She was soooo matted upon intake, as well as needing a dental, a spay and several lumpy bumps that needed to be removed, all on top of her kennel cough. She got all that and more. Spa day was first, she received a good brushing and most of the mats and knots came out easily then she got a bubble spa bath. Next was a visit back to the “dog”ter. While she was getting a much needed dental (with extractions), she was spayed and the “Dog”ter removed several of the lumpy bumps, she still has some that are not considered a health concern.

She is now on the road to recovery and feeling so much better!

She loves to sleep in the human bed, doggy bed(s) or anywhere soft she can find. She does not do stairs. Her new home will need to be a single story and minimal to no steps to go in or out. She doesn’t like being left alone for long periods of time, so if you are retired or work from home that would be best for her.

She loves other pups and would do well with similar sized pup or would be ok as your one and only.

Maisey is now spayed, up to date on her vaccines, had a dental, is microchipped and current on her flea and heartworm prevention.

911 – We need your help. PLEASE adopt this guy before he is a “Foster Fail” !! His foster mom is falling fast and hard for this sweet guy!! Ha!

Can you believe this cuteness overload????

Hi, I’m Captain Jack, a sweet, happy, itty bitty guy. I am a 10 years young, 4.8 lbs maybe Pomeranian mixed with???? According to my vet records, maybe a long haired chihuahua???? Does it really matter? Cause, you know, I’m just THAT CUTE! I might be the cutest thing you see today!!! I am always smiling, check out my photos attached. I look at my foster mom so lovingly (not in a I’m hungry feed me kind of way). LOL!! But I do love food (and my foster Mommy more…shhhh…don’t tell her, k? )

I love my walks, I might even prance a little when I walk. I’m happy to hang out on a doggy bed or cuddle up next to you on the couch or chair, I don’t take up much room you might not even notice that I’m in your lap I am so itty bitty small! I love sunning myself in the yard when it’s cool outside (with you right there with me of course). I know to go outside to do my business. I will come when you call with a happy prance, smile and tail wag. With my long hair I will require regular brushing, baths and grooming. Please take into consideration the time and money it takes for my care for for me to keep up with my handsomeness. I get along with my foster siblings, maybe too much for one of the girly dogs. Ha! (She’s such a pretty little thing) I would be good with smaller pups in my new home, no big doggies for me cause’ come on, there are not many smaller… I would probably be ok as your one and only too. I would love an active family. Someone who will take me on sniffy walks (early morning or evening time when it’s not too hot out) and get me out and about to see all the neighbors. Don’t let my age fool you I plan on hanging out for several more years.

I just got a check up at the “dog”ter and I am now neutered, up to date on my vaccines, had a dental, am microchipped and current on my flea and heartworm prevention.

If you think you might be the family for me, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident and own your home – no renters. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care.

She is house trained when let out frequently and enjoys her walks. She doesn’t care to be left alone for long periods of time, so if you are retired or work from home that would be ideal. Tricia loves other pups and would do well with a similar sized pup in the home or would be ok as your one and only.

Tricia is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, had a fresh dental, is microchipped and current on her flea and heartworm prevention.

If you think you might be the family for her, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org.

Hello, Hello, Hello, my name is Ignatius, Iggy for short!  I am a 9 years young bichon frise according to my vet records, but I have the body of a basset hound and the happiest smiling-iest terrier face you have ever seen!!  Don’t worry, the few times I “talk”, I bark, I don’t howl like a hound dog.  I currently weigh 26 pounds and I definitely need to lose a few.  I would love to take you for a walk.  I much prefer it when I am in the driver’s seat.  If you try to guide me, I may put on the brakes, but I still love to be outside with you.

I have a long (very long) history with the vet.  Mostly due to my allergies that read like the periodic table of elements song.  My foster mom will make sure you have a list so we can stay as healthy as possible.  I take eye drops for my dry eyes and will need that for the rest of my life.  I don’t mind getting my medicine, especially when there is a yummy treat waiting for being a good boy!  When I first came to VIP, I had to have some fatty tumors removed because they were infected.  I handled the surgery and recovery like a champ.  I never even had to wear the cone of shame.  My foster mom just had to remind me not to lick my stitches.  I love to chew my nails and lick my feet, just remind me to stop.  Too much licking can lead to an infection.  It’s helpful if you can wipe my feet after I go outside to get rid of those pesky allergens.

I LOVE sunbathing, as long as you stay outside with me.  My favorite game is when my foster mom chases me around the house.  It’s so much fun!  I let her catch me so I can get back scratches.  I also love long naps (I snore), but my foster mom insists it’s a cute snore.  When my foster mom says it’s time for bed, I go right over to the bed and wait to be picked up.  I have short legs so I can’t jump.  Just let me know which side of the bed is mine!  I’ve never shown any interest in getting up on the couch or dog beds.  I like the floor during the day.  When I want attention, I will come over and boop you with my nose.  Just to say Hi or let you give me some ear rubs.  I’ll also rub up against your legs like a cat.  It’s just my way of showing affection.

I know to go outside to do my business, but I don’t ask to go out.  Once I know which door is the outside door, I will go stand by it, and I’ll run to it with my happy hop when you ask me if I want to go out.  If I don’t need to go out, I won’t come when you call.  However, if you bring me outside because you need to leave, I’ll do my business so you don’t have to worry while you’re gone.  You’ll just have to be patient with me while I learn my new schedule.  I don’t have any separation anxiety.  I’ll just find a nice spot for a nap while you’re gone.  And I’ll have a big smile waiting for you when you return!

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and current on my flea and heartworm prevention.

If you think you might be the family for me, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org

Families with older children that can manage a puppy will be considered.

Welcome to the tail wag club! We are 5 adorable terrier mix puppies looking for our fur-ever homes. We are cute, high energy puppies that love to play, chase, explore, chew, cuddle, and nap. Our Mommy is Keegan, she got “dopted” recently, (yeah for Mommy!) – (photo included). She was about 12 lbs or so, BUT….we DON’T know who our Daddy was, therefore, we have NO IDEA how big we’ll get! Could be 15, 20, or even 30+ lbs.! Please keep that in mind, ok?

We are rocking the pee-pad training and then will graduate to potty training and leash training, (of course with your guidance) If you’re a really active human and you are willing and able to accept this challenge and welcome 1 of us into your heart and home, we might be the pupper for you! We will keep you on your toes for sure!

The puppies have been spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on heartworm and flea prevention. You will be responsible for the remainder of their puppy vaccines at your Veterinarians office.

If you’re interested in one of the pups, please visit www.viprescue.org. and fill out an adoption application. We are all Volunteers at VIP Rescue, with jobs and families of our own. Please be kind and patient while we process applications. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Hi! I could be a cover model, I’m such a handsome wire haired Yorkie Mix ( I’m a rescue, so no guarantees, I might have something else mixed in there!) and if you’re familiar with Yorkie’s ( let’s not generalize) well, maybe…you know what that means, right? Ha! I’m a small bundle of joy with a HUGE personality!!! Let’s step back and allow me to introduce myself. I’m Titan, a secret agent and you have no idea what I’m going to do or say, lol… I’m sweet as honey “most” of the time, but when I’m working (remember the secret agent part) and possibly guarding my bed, my food, a toy or maybe something you can’t see, I sound and can be a little fierce! If you distract me or redirect that “fierceness” I’m back to sweet as honey in a flash.

I’m just 12 years young (and retiring for work early) and have been a secret agent most of my life. I am 7.4 lbs. (but who is needing that accurate of a weight) of pup, and 2 lbs. of fur, so I guess that means I’m all of 8 lbs, right? With all this “secret agent” stuff, I think my new family should be adults, cuz, you know, they can help me with my mission should I be called upon, Ha!

I love fresh air with walks in the neighborhood and maybe a sunny spot of my own to take naps.  As you can tell I don’t like my picture taken.  I have been sleuthing my way through life so far and don’t like the publicity.  At night I love hanging out in my bed next to my humans bed.  I am not a super cuddly guy, but   I do like to be close and know you are around.  I do try to get my way most of the time and will let you know if I have had enough contact and need some space.  My foster mom has taught me to try and be patient while she brushes my bEEautiful wire coat.  I sometimes like to be held, but you need to go slow or let me come to you.  No fast moves or my secret agent skills come back and I get into protective mode.  My reflexes are highly tuned and believe me all 7 lbs of me are quick.  Ha!!

I’m neutered (you know how these rescue people are, they don’t want my genes spread around) I’ve had a fresh dental, I’ve been vaccinated and microchipped too as well as started on heartworm and flea prevention. If you so choose to take on the mission of being my accomplice in life, please fill out an application at www.viprescue.org. This message will self destruct upon my adoption! lol…lol… Hope to meet you soon!

Hi there everyone, I’m Hattie, a 15 lb. 2 year old vivacious Min Pin/terrier/doxie mix, or who knows, it really doesn’t matter, because I’m cute, bubbly, and ready for my “fur” ever home. As you can see, I’m pretty attractive if I do say so myself. I recently came to this great State of Florida with some friends, so we can have a much better life. Yeah!

I’m doing good with this “housebreaking” thing they talk about, and most of the time I know when I have go outside. It’s just that sometimes I forget in my excitement, so you’ll need to help me continue my “training” and I should have it down pat in no time! Sometimes I get soooooooo excited I have to be reminded to just “chill” a bit. Got tons of energy I guess, so I’ll definitely need an active family, no couch potatoes for me, Ha! I’m good on a leash, and I really do like my toys. Brothers and sister dogs? No problem. Cats, well maybe. I just don’t have a lot of recent experience with them. Children should be no problem, as long as they aren’t too young, 10+ should work.

I’m current on all my vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Could you be the one to make my dreams come true? My “fur” ever family? If you think so, please complete an application at VIPRescue.org and the great people there will begin the process. I can’t wait to meet you!

Hey there, my name is Cheech, my foster mom calls me CheeChee I’m a 1 year old, 13lb Chihuahua mix/with maybe a little speedy Gonzales in me. I’m the happiest boy, I smiles all the time. I’ve been in Florida for about a week now, and boy, do I love hanging outside! I loves the sun, I loves the walks, I loves the backyard, I loves the toys and I loves life.

I loves Humans, and pups. I’m a bit of an attention hog. You don’t need to look far to find me, I’ll be on your lap, around your neck on the couch or a chair, i’ll be on my dog bed at your feet or on your(our) human bed when I see you get ready for bed. I am crate trained but I prefer to be out and about.

I’m a good boy who is working on house manners, it may take a day or two for me to get my new people in a routine with house manners. If you take me out frequently I will do my business outside. As for walks, I loves sniffy walks and yep you guesses it..… I will leave a little something anywhere and everywhere we go, so the next pup has sniffly walks too. I’m learning I don’t need to stop at every plant, shrub or mailbox. But it is oh so tempting. Ha! I’ll need help to keep a movin’ so we are not out for hours. If it’s up to me… I could walk forever. I would probably do ok with kids, they probably should be a bit older, 10+ years, if you have them, ok?

I’m Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention, so I’m ready to go! If you are ready for an active CheeChee. Please fill out an application at www.viprescue.org

Hey there, my name is Aggie, I’m a 3 year old 24lb Daschund mix/with maybe a little ridgeback gal.  I’ve been in Florida for about a week now, and boy, do I love the warmth of that sun! Actually, that’s one of my favorite things to do is to hang out in the sun and roll around in the grass in the backyard, and when I’m not doing that you can find me um….don’t tell foster Mom….shhhh…chasing squirrels! Ha! Oh, and I do love to do the “zoomies” in the yard too! I’d totally prefer a home with a secure fenced in yard so I can do all of my favorite things!

I’m a good girl who is housebroken, crate trained and an all around friendly girl. I absolutely LOVE humans, they’re my fave, other dogs? Yeah, they’re ok, but I still prefer the humans. Foster Mom says there are 3 things I really love to do. Leash walks around the neighborhood, cuddles with my human, and long naps (those are the bestest)!  I also get along with kiddos, I like when they pet me,  but they probably should be a bit older, 10+ years, if you have them, ok?

I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention, so I’m ready to go! Please fill out an application at www.viprescue.org

Wiggles and smiles, snuggles and cuddles, that is what Keegan is made of. At least that is what my foster parents say about me. I’m a young sweet terrier mix gal in search of my fur-ever home! My perfect day starts with breakfast and a long walk, followed by a day filled with hanging out in the yard chasing squirrels, and bunnies or just watching the birds in the trees.  So, a fenced yard is desired.  I like sitting on my foster mom’s lap while she is working in the home office until the afternoon walk, just before dinner.  The evenings are the best since Big Daddy comes home and we take an evening stroll around the neighborhood visiting with the other neighbors.  I do like the attention from my humans.  And if I don’t get the attention I feel I need; I have my way of getting it!

My foster mom says I am a little like a cat since she found me on the dinning room table.  I blamed it on Big Daddy who left the chair out as an open invitation to jump on the table.  See I told you, I know how to stand out in a crowd and get all the attention I feel I need, ha! I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. So if you are looking for a little girl with a big personality, please fill out an application for me!

Rowdy / Myakka City FL

DOG NAME: Rowdy/Myakka City, FL

BIRTHDATE: 1/7/2023

BREED: Standard Poodle mixed breed

COLOR: Chocolate

LOCATION: Myakka City, FL

Meet Rowdy, he is a Standard Poodle Mix puppy, thought to be a Schnoodle. I am 15 weeks old, and weigh 12 lbs. I am very smart, doing well on my house training, and I am a handful! Pretty good with house breaking so far. I knows how to sit, and learn more every day! I was born January 7, 2023. My MOM weighs 55 lbs, and we were told she is a Standard Poodle mixed with Schnauzer. I loves to harass cats so it is best if there are no kitties in my new house. I require a minimum of a 6 foot fenced in yard, a single family home, no exceptions. I love long walks, snuggling, and endless play! Oh, I am super cute too!!!!! You will melt when I look in your eyes! You need me, you know you do! Do you think you want a puppy? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Puppies are so adorable. If you are ready for a bouncy, high energy puppy, ROWDY is ready to begin his journey with a family of his very own. Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of hard work and training on your family’s part to be the best pup they can be! They need love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! Their little bladders can’t hold it all day so please make sure you can commit to the puppy not being left along longer than 4 hours during the day. If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle!

****Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, and frequent brushing, and this puppy is no exception. Early grooming of your dog will create good future habits. Standard Poodles are high energy, have a high prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is fenced on all 4 sides with a 6-foot fence. They also need to be leash walked several times daily to stimulate their minds and to properly socialize them. A home visit by VIP Rescue is a pre-requisite in the adoption process of these pups. Obedience training for the puppy is also highly recommended for this extremely intelligent breed of dog. High quality food is essential for their growth and development.

VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog.

Any incomplete application will NOT be processed. You should also call your Veterinarian’s office and give your permission for us to speak with them to gather the necessary information we need to process any applications. Noodles – Fernandina Beach

DOG NAME: NOODLES DOG

LOCATION: TAVARES, FL

AGE: 11/2019 estimate

DOG BREED: Standard Poodle.

DOG WEIGHT: 38 pounds

GENDER: Male

HOUSETRAINED: Yes

COLOR: WHITE

FENCED YARD: 6-Foot secured fenced yard REQUIRED

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a resident of FL. Noodles requires a 6-foot fenced yard in a single family home – no renters. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Standard Poodles typically live 12-15 years, so keep their lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting Noodles. Your age should be appropriate for his estimated lifespan. Families with older children that can manage a puppy will be considered.

ADOPT Noodles: Noodles is a very happy joyful young boy full of love and life, very affectionate, and just waiting for his new home with open paws. He is still very much a busy puppy at heart. He follows you everywhere, you will never experience loneliness after meeting Noodles. He is very smart, he knows commands, leash walking, is house-trained, and enjoys puppy play with other dogs. He loves riding in the car, and has a lot of energy to burn – no couch potatoes. Noodles would love a hiker or a jogger that likes to get out and go, and take him with. He is a lovely boy and you can take him anywhere. He is good with older children in his foster home. Noodles needs to be supervised so as not to get into things, or chew inappropriate things so we recommend crating when you leave. He is housetrained, no issues. He loves to play with other dogs, and loves some toys to keep him busy. He learns quickly, and he aims to please. Noodles is ready to begin his journey with a family of his very own that can keep up with him, entertain him, play with him often, lots of walks, and to be able to let him out frequently for potty breaks. If you are ready for a bouncy intelligent high-energy pup, look no further. He will be a dedicated devoted companion to the end………. Noodles eats Merrick Grain Free Beef and Sweet Potato

HISTORY: Noodles came to VIP Rescue back in Nov ’22. He was found as a stray, turned into our local shelter, and was in horrific shape. He was emaciated, had pneumonia, kennel cough, and his coat was very overgrown constricting his movement. With excellent veterinary care, and a dedicated foster home, Noodles has recovered from the past, he has put it behind him, and is now a delightful boy. Noodles is now 38 lbs – his correct weight, and it has taken 4 months of care to get him to the be his best!

MEETING NOODLES: He is fostered in Tavares, FL. and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance. You will need to travel to TAVARES to meet Noodles if your application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members and pets for the introduction meeting. He has not been tested with cats. He has been fostered in a home with Standard Poodles and children.

The STANDARD POODLE BREED: Noodles is tons of fun but puppies require a lot of work and a 10 to 15 year commitment! Exercise in your fenced yard, leash walks, patience, and consistent positive reinforcement training on your family’s part will be needed for him to be the best dog he can be! Please do your homework on the Standard Poodles breed, they are not for everyone. They are high energy, have a high-prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is fenced on all 4 sides. Standard Poodles are eager to learn, they are athletic, agile, wickedly smart, and are very versatile velcro dogs. They want to be an active participant in your daily life. High quality food is essential and not cheap. Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, frequent brushing, and Noodles is no exception. Grooming ranges from $100-$200. They love being around people and are able to form bonds with each member of the family, as opposed to bonding with just one person. They also make superb watchdogs barking zealously when strangers approach the home. Poodles may look dainty and demur, but in truth, these are high-stamina dogs with a stellar range of skills, including agility, obedience, hunting and herding.

NOODLES MEDICAL: He was recently neutered, he is up to date on vaccines, preventatives, he is microchipped, and heartworm negative.

If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process. JOBEY / CLERMONT, FL

JOBEY / CLERMONT, FL

ADOPT JOBEY

Hi Ya’ll I’m Jobey! I am a 1 yr old Chihuahua mix boy puppy who currently weighs a whopping 8 lbs! I have a long story to share with you, so I hope you have the time to listen! In Sept 2022, I was found as a baby living in a swamp sleeping in a hollowed-out tree stump. A nice lady found me while working, but could not catch me. So, she was diligent and trapped me, then took me to VIP RESCUE. When VIP Rescue took me in, I was named Tiny Tim. I had severe skin issues, was dehydrated, and starving, had lost all my fur, and had wicked eye infections. My VIP RESCUE Foster Mom took excellent care of me and nursed me back to health for several months. I started growing hair and she gave me lots of delicious food. My veterinarian helped me recover, neutered me, and VIP Rescue put me up for adoption. Well, that nice lady that had saved my life, she couldn’t resist, so she adopted me!

Fast forward to March 2023, the nice lady that adopted me, she named me Jobey. She cannot keep me anymore because I am too much of a puppy to be with her senior mobility challenged dogs. I want to find a home with like sized young dogs to play, or a home with no dogs would be fine too if you have lots of energy to play with me. I am an active puppy! Couch potatoes need not apply to adopt me! I love Cookies (Milk Bones) and I love puppy toys! So please, take me shopping with you for some goodies! I get along with people, dogs, and cats unknown. I’ve now experienced how amazing it is to be love, to snuggle, and play with toys. I enjoy leash walks and I’m figuring out – even though I’m so tiny – I am mighty! I am housetrained if let out frequently, and I will let you know I need to go, but you better be fast. I like to snuggle, and I love to play play play! I would love following you around and being your bestest friend and share cozy snuggle times. I am shy with strangers, but once I feel safe, I am very playful and want to run run run! I am used to having a crate at my house with an open door I can use at my will. It is my safe space. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on preventatives. I am a healthy boy now, even though I got off to a bad start!

I am sharing some pictures with you of me now, and when I first came to VIP Rescue so you can see my resilience, and all the love and work that was put into me to become whole. If you meet me – I know you’ll love me, and it’s as simple as filing out an adoption application online at VIPRescue.org and the caring volunteers will take it from there. I really hope to meet you soon! My adoption donation is $250.

Hi, I’m Annabelle, a spunky Yorkie mix gal. I’m about 2 years old, weigh a svelte 13.6 pounds, and have a lovely black and tan coat. Pretty cute, don’t you think? Not that I’m conceited or anything, but I’m pretty special.

I recently came to VIP Rescue after being taken in by a nice lady who just couldn’t keep me with her four other dogs. It’s not that I didn’t get along with them most of the time, and I even seem to be OK with cats, but honestly, I’d prefer to be the only dog in the house. That’s right, I’m an “Attention Hound.” I’d like nothing more than to be with you 24/7, no matter what you are doing and trust me, you won’t be able to resist.

Shortly after my great foster parents took me in, the nice folks at VIP took me to the “dog-tor” for a check up. I was spayed, got my vaccines and heartworm and flea medications. Got to stay healthy you know if I’m going to keep up with active parents and give you years of love. Oh, and by the way, I’m also microchipped ( my foster parents said that’s a very important thing to have) They’re sooooo good to me and love me lots, but now it’s time to find my “fur” ever family.

If you meet me I know you’ll love me, and it’s as simple as filing out an application online at VIPRescue.org and the caring volunteers will take it from there. I really hope to see you soon! Licks and wags, your friend, Annabelle.
