MEET TESSIE! Are you looking for that lap dog? That one of a kind devoted companion that follows your every move? That wants your undivided attention? Look no further! Tessie is a beautiful 2 year old Labradoodle weighing 50 lbs, but she thinks she is a small dog and will consume your lap and would love to sleep at your feet in your bed! Tessie is not fond of loud noises, and a bunch of commotion – she prefers a quiet peaceful home. Tessie wants to go for walks and is learning about passing cars, horns, big garbage trucks and people on her walks. Tessie will be happy to go on car rides once she knows you and you have built trust. Tessie knows how to SIT, PAW, and has good RECALL. Tessie does not ask for much, just sitting in your lap all day and in your bed at night! If that is not available, she may go into hiding until you return. Tessie was anxious when she first arrived in foster care., however after a week of getting used to her routine and people, she has come a long way and is now trusting of the members in the family. Tessie is housetrained and has good manners in the home, she may leak a little when scared and meeting new people. Tessie would like a fenced yard to romp and play. Tessie does like to be picked up and carried, she likes to give hugs, and wants to kiss your face. She enjoys wresting and loves belly rubs! Tessie gravitates to men in the home, but has built relationships with others when the men are not home. Tessie requires frequent grooming, and brushing.
HISTORY: Tessie’s owner was unable to keep her due to working many long hours and long shifts. They asked VIP Rescue to find them a loving caring home together. Tessie was well taken care of but not socialized a lot, and we are working on that with her and she makes progress every day. The key to her is building her trust in you, then all is good……!
MEDICAL: Tessie has been spayed, up to date on vaccines, on preventatives, microchipped, and heartworm negative. We are not aware of any health issues.
MEETING TESSIE: Tessie is fostered in OSTEEN, FL. and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance within Florida. You will need to travel to OSTEEN to meet her if your application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members for the introduction meeting.
The LABRADOODLE: Doodles are highly intelligent. They require exercise, leash walks, frequent brushing, and lots of attention! They are eager to learn, they are athletic, agile, wickedly smart, and are very versatile velcro dogs. They want to be an active participant in your daily life. High quality food is essential and not cheap. They require monthly grooming, and frequent brushing. Grooming ranges from $100-$200 for each dog. They love being around people and are able to form bonds with each member of the family, as opposed to bonding with just one person.
ADOPTION APPLICATIONS: VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs.
