Who is up for the happiest lil’ girl around??? Well, I’m talking about MEEEEE of course! I’m Gigi and I’m a 5 years young Chihuahua mix gal, weighing in at about 10ish pounds, as I just finished weaning my very last litter of pups, and I can hardly wait to get my slim, trim girly figure back!
I’m looking for my very own furever home. Is that you?? I like to snuggle, go on leash walks, play with toys, and I also like to play a little with the other foster pup in my foster home. I like to be at the front of the line for petting, snuggles and lap time. I would do best with another pup in the home that is laid back and doesn’t mind sharing, that would be ok, but of course we would need to meet first.
I will go outside to do my business, my mom takes me for short walks with the other dogs here, and I get really excited if I see a squirrel or a bird. Hang on tight cuz I will try to chase them! If you have a fenced yard, I do like to explore the backyard, a fenced yard is required. I love to explore new things, so if you take me places I will smile the entire time. I don’t like to be left alone for long periods of time, I’m just not the kind of doggie who likes to be alone much. I want to be with you as much as I can. I really need to be in a home where someone is home more often than not, k?
So, now to talk about the “other” stuff. When I got to VIP, we found out I am heart worm positive, but don’t let that stop you from adopting me! VIP Rescue covers all the expenses for my treatment, but you do need to live within 1 hour of the St Petersburg area to take me to my date-sensitive appointments with the rescue vet for my treatment. I’ll also need to take it slow for a while, no long walks or romping/zoomies in the yard until the vet says it’s ok. My VIP friends will explain everything to you in detail.
I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 13-16 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.
