Hopper is thought to be a Maltese terrier mix. He is one year old and 13 lbs of love and kisses. Those big brown eyes just say love me. Hopper is current on his shots and neutered. UPDATE: Oct. 5, 2013  Hopper’s Fosters had him in the vet’s this week for his follow-up.  His heartworm test came back NEGATIVE!!  WooHoo!! His treatment has worked!!!  He’s over the big hurdle!!!  We couldn’t be Happier!!!

He still needs to take it a little slow..he’s been on crate rest for 3 months.  And he needs a follow-up heartworm test in February 2014.

Meet Sophie!

I am just 1 year old and found myself all alone one day – it was raining and there was no place to hide – no food and no family to protect me.  Some man in a loud truck  came by and I jumped right in!  Woe- there were so many dogs and cats in there – this is not good – Batman!!  Okay after about 3 hours they found me a holding cell — some food and water – then no one came again till the next day – then more days — Finally a Rescue Friend noticed me and got permission to get me out of Lock up.  I hope to get to the groomer  soon – the bath is nice and warm and the food is way better here.   Again I am young and will forgive those who left me but hope to find a nice family 4-ever this time.   Female, Spayed, 11 lbs, all vaccines – no heart-worms and micro-chipped!!

Little Montgomery is a beautiful golden Tibetan Spaniel. He is roughly a year old and weighs 11 pounds. Although it is not very noticeable, he has some vision impairment, probably from birth, since he manages perfectly around the house. He will require a home with a fenced in yard, no pool and no stairs because he does not climb stairs or walk on a leash. Montgomery is shy at first, but when you earn his trust, he will be the happiest and enthusiastic canine companion. He is calm & sweet, barks when he hears something, but just enough to warn his people. He loves to cuddle, chew on toys and play with other non-aggressive playful dogs his size.

The Tibetan Spaniel is a breed of assertive, small, intelligent dogs originating over 2,500 years ago in the Himalayan mountains of Tibet.

Izoku “Izzy”, Female, Shiba-Inu Mix, ~2 years old, Weighs ~40 lbs., Spayed, House trained, looking for a new love!

 

EVALUATION: IZOKU is a last minute rescue from Orange County Animal Control’s euthanasia list. She is very underweight but has healthy eating habits and should chub up real soon. She may have been abused at some point so she will cower when frightened. She is heartworm positive and begins treatment in about a weak. We have been working on some commands to make her not only sweet but super smart!

 

DOGS: IZOKU is eager to play and likes to show her dominance to other pets in the household but seems like she would get along well with others.

 

GROOMING: IZOKU has a short to medium length coat. She requires brushing and monthly grooming.

How cute is Wicket?

Wicket is a delightful little Shih Tzu who weighs only 10 lbs and is thought to be about 8 yrs old, although you would never know it.  He is extremely sweet and playful.  He loves to wrestle with his foster brother and enjoys getting his face washed by the cats.  He is not a bit shy and enjoys meeting all the neighbors and going on leash walks.  Wicket has beautiful glossy black hair with white front legs and a little brown on his face.  People stop to tell his foster mom how beautiful he is!!  When you hold him, he snuggles into your neck.  He is housetrained when kept on a schedule and a wonderful companion.

I am frequently reminded,” how the cute little ones are so easy to adopt out “! For those , who never get to see where we frequently start with “a cute little one”.
 
Here is a look into our reality…..
 Merci was on the euthanasia list , then just another burst of fuel for the incinerator , and boom , she would not have been a second thought .
 Enter .. VIP Rescue
 
 
She had the stench of raw sewage and skin the just oozed.Our friends at Day and Evening Pet Clinic of Palm Harbor are never surprised by the treasures we show up with anymore .I frequently joke with them, we are an element , of their continuing education ! Every one of our VIP Rescue volunteers, anxiously awaits the diagnosis and treatment then shares , with the rest of the team, so each day we become a little more prepared, to help those cute ones we service.Please feel free to contact them , to contribute to Merci’s bill or donate on line at www.viprescue.org

Merci is 13 lbs and her happy sprit age is 7. We think she is a Lhasa or Pekinese. She is in my line of vision right now . with a silly little bark of joy, raspy from the incubation for  her dental. She will need to be protected from the sun, because her severe matting she had to be stripped completely. She has a very treatable skin fungus by short term daily pills. She has eye ulcers , also treatable by 3 xs a day with  drops. Merci is current on her shots, heartworm negative and appears to be spayed.
 
To my delight , she is house trained, great on a leash , good with other dogs , very friendly and sweet.
Already , enjoying some Bil-Jac dog food!
 
I am reaching out to all to assist us with her medical bill, and for a foster home that can commit to her for about a month when her hair grows in a bit.
