Rocker’s journey to safety has been a long one .Found as a stray , during the California wild fires, on hold waiting for his family to reclaim him, no one showed up for him  ! Muffin arrived to rescue broken , depressed and very badly injured . She had an old injury that was never treat . It was a fractured pelvis and hind leg . It left her back leg useless and just hanging . She was in need of immediate medical care . The leg would need to be amputated. The excellent team of Day and and Evening pet Surgical center , did the surgery.

There is no stopping her now !

 Muffin is a 7 lb 3 year old poodle. She is current on her shots , micro chipped, spayed, had a dental, and is on heartworm prevention . She is spirited, fun, house trained and is quite a diva.

 Huey’s journey through life has had the last few months as both heart breaking and heart warming . He arrived in rescue with paralysis in his right rear leg and lower spine. He dragged himself around , by his front legs . The first inclination by the shelter was to put him down, but his darling , sweet, charming, personality won them over long enough for rescue to get to him . Two months he laid on his side , , pain killers every day .. We are not sure how the damage was caused , we do know that Huey , is a super special little guy that deserves the best in life going forward .

He is now , by the grace of God, standing walking playing and running . A by-product of an injury like Huey endured, resulted in both bladder and bowel incontinence. Quite frankly , that was really messy !. 

Not entirely corrected yet , but improvements are coming daily . He is a little terrier mix with golden hair and more love than you could ever handle. 

Huey is 18 months old and 21 lbs. He is current on his shots , micro chipped, neutered and on heartworm prevention.  He loves balls , toys that squeak and  things he can toss, Huey “thinks” he is housetrained and honestly does try. He is great with other dogs, and loves to be with his human .

Rico is one of the evacuated dogs. He is a Havanese. Approximately four years young. He is neutered UTD on vaccines. Heart worm negative and micro chipped. He weighs approximately 20 lbs. He is housebroken as long as you let him out regularly. Good on a leash. He does have a limp from an injury but it doesn’t stop him from following you everywhere. Great with other dogs. Walks pretty good on a leash. Very calm and VERY sweet and lovable. The pictures don’t really do him justice. He has the cutest under bite ever. Reed is thought to be 11 years young and only 8 lbs. This tiny toy poodle has already made improvements since his arrival to rescue. He is current on his shots, and on heartworm prevention. He needs to gain a bit of weight before he continues his vetting of neuter , extreme dental and micro chip. He loves following his foster human and is looking forward to meeting his future family.

Arthur is thought to be 18 months and 19 lbs of fun !

He is some sort of terrier mix, that just wants to be busy and playing. He is current on his shots, micro chipped, neutered and is being treated for heartworm. .He has not yet figured out the house training thing, but he is very smart , so that will happen soon.

He is a little timid to meet, but once you prove you are trust worthy, he is right at your side !. He requires toys, toys and someone to throw the toys .

Since he is being treated for heartworm disease, we will only process applications , for his future family  that live less than an hour from our vet in Palm Harbor.You will have to get him to his appointments on the days they are scheduled. You need to get him there on those days, not the day before , not the day after … on the scheduled dates .There are 3 time sensitive appointment  dates .

Bradley Cooper is a handsome 10 years young , 15 lb Dachshund Mix.

Secretly at the shelter , he confessed, he always wanted to be poodle-ish , and with the obvious neglect he had recently endured , we could not leave him behind !!

He visited the vet where we to took care of getting him neutered, current on his shots, micro chipped, repaired an aural hematoma and place him on heartworm prevention.

Life is looking up for Bradley Cooper these days  ! He has great muscles, a strong back and many years to share with a loving human.  He is good with other dogs and , wait for it …..HOUSETRAINED

Co Co is a super sweet 11 lb 8 year old  toy poodle !

MEET OSCAR!!!

OSCAR is a handsome male Labradoodle born in 2009.  He weighs 68 pounds, and is a healthy happy active boy.  Oscar’s family is no longer able to accommodate his size and have asked us to find him a new loving home.  Oscar is very active, and loves to run, play, and cuddle.   Oscar needs a family with a fenced yard to romp with and hopefully another like size dog to play with him.  He gets along with most dogs we have introduced him to.  His favorite pastime is chasing little lizards.  He loves water.  He can busy himself for long periods in pursuit.  He loves to sit next to you on the sofa, and he loves to sit on your feet!  He loves affection.  He has been thru basic training and knows his commands and with an experienced handler he is compliant.  However, he needs continual reinforcement.  He has not been crated in his current home and has not been destructive inside the home.

Oscar is current on his vaccinations, current on preventatives, heart worm negative, neutered and his teeth are scheduled to be cleaned.  Due to his condition coming to rescue we had to shave him down however we have provided photos of what he will look like when his hair is grown out.  He is a big fluffy curly non-shedding guy!  He eats Fromm Gold dog food.    We are able to adopt to Florida Residents only.  Oscar requires frequent brushing and monthly grooming.  His coat is very curly like that of a Standard Poodle.  His adoption donation is $250.

Cirrus was advertised on Craigs list as a Yorkie male, free.  A VIP rescue representative called me and asked it I could help with him for a few days until she was able to take over.   I picked up Cirrus at Tampa Bay Aviation and brought him home.   Owner acknowledged that he had some vision issues but brought all of his vet records from his purchase at a pet store over 7 years ago.He does have vision issues so stairs and pool need to be off limits

He is an adorable 12 lb   ,7 1/2 year old yorkie , sadly vision impaired . He is current on his shots, neutered, micro chipped and on heart worm prevention.VIP Rescue had the 2 lb mass removed, and he now has made a remarkable recovery.

Cirrus is Mr Personality ! and simply a pleasure to be around. He is housetrained,good on a leash,loves, humans and other dogs and is a velcro companion. He would love to be your buddy ! He enjoys car rides and is crate trained.

He is a small dog with a big dog personality.  He does not whine, yap or demand attention. He sleeps thru the night after a 7 to 8 pm short walk.
