Marley is a very fun loving 4 year old Black Standard Poodle weighing 64lbs.  He loves people, loves to go places with you, and is a very attentive boy.  Marley came to VIP Rescue in a severely neglected state and it has taken us some time to get him back on his feet again.  He is now a well behaved goofy boy that wins the hearts of everyone he meets.  He is a velcro boy;  he will follow you to the ends of the earth and that is all he asks for.  He will shower you with love, affection, and attention.   Marley is well trained, walks on a loose lead, sits and shakes for his treats, and loves to snuggle.  He is very playful, has a high prey drive, and loves to romp and run chasing squirrels or anything that moves.  He is also a very good watch dog and he is very smart.  Marley is house-trained, crate trained, and comes when called.  He really has not needed to be crated as he has no destructive  behaviors however he goes to his open door crate to relax.  He may whine and bark for a few minutes when you leave him…….but he gets over it quickly.  He will get on furniture when invited.   He has a lovely tight curly non-shedding coat and is excellent on the groom table.  He enjoys his baths and the one on one attention.  He will counter surf, so you cannot leave food on your counters or tables.   Marley enjoys going to the nursing homes and visiting people there.  He is an excellent candidate for a Therapy Dog.  He is easily trained and catches on quickly and will do just about anything for a treat!

Marley is up to date on all of his vaccinations, has been neutered, and has been treated for heartworms.  Marley is not a candidate for homes with other cats or dogs.  Marley needs a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play frequently throughout the day; however, he is not an outside dog.  We do not recommend dog parks for Marley because he is simply unpredictable with other dogs.  We do not recommend homes with visiting dogs or cats, as Marley is unpredictable.  Marley will require frequent brushing and grooming every 4-6 weeks.

Meet Jessie!

Jessie is thought to be an 2 year old Miniature Wheaten blend, sometimes referred to as a Whoodle.  Jessie is very active, good with other dogs, and likes to play non-stop.  He is about 44 lbs, and boundless energy!  Jessie likes to take walks, and Jessie will need a fenced yard to run and play and release his energy.  Jessie enjoys the dog park with the big dogs and plays well with others so long as they are up for the games!  Jessie will need additional obedience training and is responding very well to the training he has received thus far and he aims to please.  Jessie is a bundle of joy and a fun goofy guy.  We recommend Jessie goto a home with no children and no cats.  When Jessie is highly excited, he likes to mouth and his play can be too rough for children.  We are working on this behavior, and when he is properly exercised, it is not an issue.  Additional training is recommended.  Jessie loves toys, but destroys them so safe toys that cannot be ingested are recommended.  Jessie loves to learn and needs the mental stimulation and to keep learning.  He likes mental games as well as playing full throttle.  We have taken Jessie to many public outings – and he is well behaved.  Jessie does shed some, and frequent grooming is required every 6-8 weeks.

Sonny is a darling little mix Maltese !

He is thought to be about 8 years young and is an active little guy.

Sonny is good on a leash.

Sonny likes going to the dog park and comes to you on the first call…better than most of our own dogs!  LOL

He is current on his shots , neutered, micro chipped, had a dental and is heartworm negative.

Sonny is super sweet, and gets along great with other dogs. He really loves being near his human.

He is relearning his house training manners .

Sonny is willing to please his human, so the training will be easy .

Guy went for a 2 mile walk on the Tampa Bay trail and loved it.  Guy was fascinated by bicycles and wanted to run with them!

He is thought to be a 4 year old papillion mix and is 11 lbs who ended up in rescue after his original adoptive mom passed away. He still has lots of love to give!  Guy loves to play and go for walks.

He loves his humans and although he does not like to be picked up he loves to snuggle next to you and get belly petted. Guys favorite thing to do is dance on his back legs. (check out his video on our facebook page.) He is current on his shots, neutered, micro chipped and heartworm negative and great with housetraining.

So far life hasn’t been that great for Bindi. She was kept as an outside dog, dirty and covered in fleas. Her owners decided they no longer wanted her and tied her to the porch of a neighbor. Bindi was left in the sun without water until a nice person saw her and took her in.
Bindi quickly adapted to the life of an inside dog. She is very sweet and most grateful for her rescue. She is a little underweight and enjoys dry dog food as if it was a treat.
Bindi gets along well with other dogs and is good with kids. She likes to go on walks and does surprisingly well on a leash. She is mostly house trained and a quick learner.
She does well in a crate and enjoys soft dog beds.  She is spayed, up to date on her shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Frank is a lovely mini poodle that is 17 lbs and 8 years young. Frank is being treated for a minor eye infection.. He was dumped at a high kill shelter. He is current on his shots, micro chipped neutered , heartworm negative and has had a dental.
He has a super personality and appears to be house trained.He is great with other dogs and is leashed trained to .

Bantam is thought to be a poodle mix. His stunning golden locks just shines like the sun. He just 4 years young and a very very chunky 18 lbs. He is current on his shots, heartworm negative and neutered. He is micro chipped. Bantam gets along great with kids and other dogs . He is a happy go lucky boy that will warm your heart .He has a torn ACL that will require surgery .

I am called Small Paul, and I am super cute. I am about 3 years young an a mighty 7 lbs yorkie mix .

Peter is thought to be 3 years young and about 10 lbs of adorable mutt.. Best guess would be a shih tzu mix, but really who cares with that adorable little face ! He arrived to rescue scared and skinny and now is in great health and brave !. He is current on his shots micro chipped , neutered and heartworm negative. Peter is working his way to great scores on house training and leash walking. He is an active little guy that gets along well with other dogs. Peter at intake My new life started today!

So far, it hasn’t been that great, but VIP Rescue stepped up to get me happy and healthy again!

I am so looking forward to my forever home. They call me Peter and I am thought to be 3 years young and I am a very skinny 8 lbs.I am thought to be a terrier yorkie mix. My skin is full of sores and scabs from neglect and fleas. I am current on my shots, micro chipped, neutered and heartworm negative. I have a gentle and sweet personality and I am good with other dogs . My scabs and skin imperfections are only temporary,  my loving heart will last for my lifetime. Cosmo is a quirky little guy who lacks confidence. He thought to be  only 5 years old and just 10 lbs. He is current on his shots, neutered micro chipped and heartworm negative. He snores, That’s right , he snores ! not window shaking, Just one of his quirks. He is really good with other dogs, and has make great strides in housetraining ! He has the most loving and very sweet personality.He is playful silly and fun ! So , look in the mirror, and if you are fault free, he may not be the right one for you. Dena is thought to be 6 years young and a sturdy 17 lbs. She is thought to be a malitpoo. She is current on her shots , micro chipped spayed and heartworm negative.

She is strong , athletic and loves toys that squeak.

She loves to play and seems to like the water ( a perfect Poodle!!)  She’s learning to swim.

Dena appears to be housetrained, and loves the leash!!

She is not a needy dog though she does like to be with you.

After a bit of time she gets along well with other dogs and might do well with a playmate.

She’s got a mischievious side and needs some help with those behaviors.

 She’s working on being crate trained.

She’s really a lovey girl!!

We do not think Dena is suited for young children.

FEB 2016 Update:

LuckyPoo has just recently come to my house as a foster.  It is Amazing how well, and quickly he has found his way around the house!!  He gets along well with all the other dogs..and all people.  He loves being with you. Here, he’s trying to get up on my lap…kind f a blur because his tail wagging shakes his whole body! lol

 And is very playful!!

He’s just a pleasure!!!!
