I came to VIP Rescue almost starved to death. No one really knows why I was so neglected and my rescue angels didn’t care. They got me to the vet, started giving me good food and lots of love. I’ve had my dental and all the rotten teeth removed, now the rest of them are pearly white. I’m up to date on shots,on heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. I’m mostly housebroken. I still have some healing to do with my coat and getting some weight on me, I weigh a whopping 4.7 lbs right now and will probably top out at 5-6 lbs. I’m very sweet and loving. I get along great with dogs and all people. I don’t hear very well, but I really don’t need to because I’ll stick right by your side always. I would love to just be someone’s adored little pup. My name is Demi and thought to be a schnauzer/Havanese mix. I am 3 years old and 13 lbs. I came from a hoarder situation and my background is unknown. My foster dads think I must have been locked up in my cage all day because I am very timid and scared of loud noises and movement. However, once I’ve warmed up to you, I will be the best snuggle buddy you’ve ever had. I love sitting next to my daddy on the couch and I especially love sleeping on him. I get along well with my foster sisters and I really didn’t have any interest in the cat. I take a while to get to feel comfortable with you and I still have to go to my safe spot in order to be picked up, but once I’ve made it there, I am a lover and licker. I think I want my adopter parent(s) to have a lot of time and patience to train me. If you are retired or work from home so I can be by your side all day, that would be best. I don’t want to play with any children or little kids. I also don’t know what walking on a leash is. When my daddy takes me for a walk, I just stand there staring at him. I am being trained on my puppy pads and usually do fairly well, but it’s still a work in progress.
If you are looking for a little girl who wants to please you and be your best friend, please put in to adopt me. Due to my background I will take some time to get adjusted to you and my new home, but I know based on my progress in the two weeks that I have been with my foster dads that I will be happy to work trying to make you happy too.

This delightfully sweet 1 year old 12lb. Schnauzer mix is Delilah. She came into rescue with her siblings and parents from a hoarder situation. She can be quite shy and timid when she first meets you, quick movements startle her, but does warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. Delilah lives with 2 doggie and 2 kitty foster siblings, she can be a little frisky with the kitties, but adores the other dogs and plays very nicely with them. She enjoys being petted , and likes to give tons of kisses. She has made great strides in her foster home and would love a patient and loving family that will continue to work with her building her confidence, and ideally will have another well behaved and socialized dog in the home to continue to help her learn her doggie manners. Delilah LOVES playing ball in the yard, and is quite the athlete when it comes to “running” in the yard. She is doing great with her crate training, is working very hard on her house breaking skills, and is also doing wonderful with leash training! Delilah is perhaps one of the sweetest pups we have fostered, I truly think her goal in life is to love and please her humans unconditionally. She really enjoys human attention and cuddle time either on your lap or next to you while you watch some TV. This little girl had such a rough start in life, and has so much love to give. We do recommend she go to an adult home with a fenced yard so she can continue to her favorite game of chasing the tennis ball! Hey it’s Princess here. My foster mom says I’m the sweetest little girl she ever fostered! I’m approximately 7 years old and I’m currently about 9-10 lbs. I really need to put a little more weight. I’m spayed, UTD on shots, microchipped and I’ve had a dental. I will be the best companion ever as I love to sit in your lap or lay next to you. But I’m also happy to play with toys if you throw them or play tug of war. I like to play with my little foster brother but I would be okay being your one and only. I walk well on a leash and I ride great in the car. I’m housebroken too. I’m a little skittish at first meeting but I warm up quick. I’m a terrier/poodle mix. My coat is coming in nicely after a good grooming, bath and finally good food. I have the sweetest face ever. If you want a constant companion, I’ll sit with you or walk with you, I aim to please.     Hi,
My name is Jazzy and my foster dads say I’m a little snuggler. I’ve been with them for just over a week and I’m starting to realize I’m going to be ok, even after all the bad stuff that I’ve been through. I wag my tail every time I see them now and am ok coming out of my pen area on my own. I love to sit on the couch and get my tummy rubbed and my ears scratched. I get along with my sister dogs when we’re out around the house, but I’m protective of my space in my pen.
I would probably be ok with other dogs, but know I’d be happy by myself if you want to spoil me. I was curious about the cats, but if they run, I like to chase them. Maybe no cats would be a good thing.
Also, I am so small and think I would probably like to have a family that only has older children or even someone who is retired that just wants to sit with me all day.
I am good at housetraining as long as I get walked on a regular schedule. I walk in the morning and then again at night and am good at the time in between.
I currently sleep in my private pen area ok, but I’m sure your bed would be much more comfortable and I’d love to snuggle with you.
I also have no problems walking on a leash and I like to explore. If you’d like to be my family, please fill out an application for me.
