Conner / Redington Beach

Breed: Maltese mix

Age: 4 mo DOB 10-20-24

Sex: Male Weight: 4 lb currently – for an adult weight, could be 12-18 lbs

Color: White

DOGS: He would like another, similar size dog to play with in his new home.

Kids: Respectful 10+ with tiny dog experience

Tiny breed experience in the home is a MUST and you will need to be able to provide proof.

Meet Conner, can you believe that little face? Melts your heart, right? Conner is now a healthy and happy 4 month old little boy who weighs in at a whopping 4 lbs.!!!! We think his adult weight could be up to 12-18 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Conner is a tiny puppy who loves to play with the other pups in his foster home and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things. He picks up anything and everything that is in front of him, so he will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything he wants to taste, other than food, away from him. HA! After playtime, he will settle down in a soft puppy bed or lap to relax. Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, especially in potty training. (He has been working on pee pad training). Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for his safety. He will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure he doesn’t get into things he is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference.

Conner would love a family that will continue to show him all the good things that life has to offer. Since he is so tiny, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 10+ and tiny dog experienced. He is fast and so small he darts and can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. He will need to be in a home where his people are agile and very alert to keep an eye out for him. He is looking for a home with another dog for him to play with and learn from, a similar sized dog under 15-18 lbs, and please, no big doggies in his new home.

Conner has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm prevention and he does not weight enough yet for flea prevention. Please keep in mind the costs to groom him, usually every 6-8 weeks, and this cost can range from $60-$120/per grooming.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio of the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue.

Cats:  Unknown

Dogs: Yes, calm

Kids: Unknown, probably yes 13+

Hello, my name is Blondie!  I have been told I have beautiful ombre` wavy hair, with dark roots and blonde/white locks, and seriously, people pay good money to get hair like mine!  I don’t care about all that though!  I’m glad people think I’m cute, so I get lots and lots of love.  I love to be with my human, in their lap as much as possible.  I definitely want a family that is home more often than not. I do get nervous when I can’t find my human, because I can only find my human with my nose, as I had to have both eyes removed when I came to VIP Rescue due to a severely infected eye, and the other one had glaucoma, so the dog-tor was unable to save my sight.  I came through the surgery with flying colors and most importantly, I’m not in pain anymore!!  I wear this halo now (I’m an angel), this helps me find my way around without bumping into things. I do pretty good once I get familiar with the house.  I do sometimes knock things over, open spaces are easier to navigate, and sometimes I get “stuck”, where I can’t figure out how to get out of a spot, so I’ll bark to let you know I need help.  I can find my Foster mom when she’s in another room and follow her around the house.  I can go up the short stairs to the couch, though most of the time I just ask to be picked up by coming over and rubbing up against her or lifting my paws, up, mom, up!  I can even find my toys and I love to play with them, squeakers are my favorite!

I have learned to go to the door when it’s time to go out.  I go out on to the deck easy, but the stairs make me nervous, it’s tough to know when I’m at the stairs or about to fall off something, so my foster mom carries me down.  I can go up the stairs pretty good; no stairs in my new home would be amazing!  I find my own way around outside to do my business, and I have never had an accident in the house, I know to wait until I smell grass.  I don’t like to be leash walked, I prefer to lead with my nose.  I’ve been told some people “walk” their dogs in strollers, I might like that so I can relax and do the “sniffies” without being worried about bumping into things.  I love to sit in the sun, just like any other dog, but I want you to stay out with me though and talk to me so I know where you are and that I’m not alone.  I get along well with my foster canine siblings, one of them gets mad when I bump into her and she growls, but I tell her, hey, It’s not my fault, I can’t see!  Now she has learned to move when I come close, the other two don’t mind when I bump into them. If you have animals at home already, we would require a meet and greet to see how they react to my halo and to make sure we get along just fine. I’m scared of Fireworks and will need to have all of your attention to help me through the times of year when they are used. 🙁

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on heartworm and flea prevention. I will require regular grooming for my beautiful hair, so please keep that in mind with your budget.

Are you ready to open your heart and home to this beautiful girl?  If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. She hopes to meet you really soon!

FENCED YARD REQUIRED, non-negotiable FL or GA Residents Only

MEET COTTON! Cotton is a beautiful calm sweet white female Standard Poodle weighing 63lbs. She is very devoted and makes a great companion as she follows your every move. She wants to be a part of all your activities and be next to you wherever life takes you. COTTON likes people, kids, and is dog and cat friendly. COTTON would love to be the center of your universe and will adore you! Cotton loves fluffy beds, lots of toys, and playing fetch! COTTON enjoys frequent walks and has excellent leash manners. She has excellent recall; she sits nicely and aims to please. She is house-trained and loves to run, romp, and do zoomies in her fenced yard. Some of her skills include a master counter surfer which is typical of the breed, she is skilled at opening doors, drawers, and cabinets when you leave so you have to be smarter than a poodle! She does not damage anything in your home or chew anything – except food, and she will happily eat anything. COTTON is well mannered, has mastered basic obedience, and is a very happy girl just waiting for that special person(s) to come along to complete her life. She would prefer not to be left at home much and hopes that you are retired or work from home. Cotton would like to have another dog friend in her new home to romp, play, and do zoomies with her.

COTTON loves to go places, ride in the car, and hang out with you wherever you go. Take her to dinner, take her shopping, take her in your RV, just take her! She will happily snuggle with you at night, and lay her head on your chest waiting for a belly and ear rubs. She loves car rides and is great on long trips. In her foster home, we are not crating her, however she has a crate with an open door she frequently snoozes in. She does fine when you are gone, provided you leave her within an area with no access to food & trash and another dog to comfort her. COTTON is well socialized, and well-mannered in social situations. She will bark at intruders and let you know if some is at your door or in your yard! Once reassured, she welcomes guests, humans and dogs with open arms to your home. Those who meet Cotton say, she is the perfect 10+.

COTTON came to VIP Rescue from a lady who found her aimlessly walking down a dirt road at 30 lbs. back. We have looked for her owner with no success. She was in rough shape, sickly, and neglected upon arrival. After not finding her owner, she was brought to VIP Rescue. She has had bilateral entropion surgery, a dental, has been spayed, and allergy tested. She is now ready to find her perfect home! She has been an outstanding houseguest at her foster home and frolicks with the other poodles there.

COTTON is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped. She likes walks 2-3 times a day and playing in the fenced yard. She requires frequent brushing and monthly grooming which costs $100-$200. She is fed prescription food and a home cooked diet as she has GI sensitivities. We have figured out her diet and she no longer experiences GI issues provided you follow the protocol of food and supplements – we will explain. Cotton has been to an array of veterinarians and specialists at UF Small Animal Hospital for her recovery. Preference will be given to those adopters with Standard Poodle experience.

COTTON can offer you her unconditional love, loyalty, and affection. She is a great dog, and someone is going to hit the jackpot with this amazingly well-adjusted attentive girl! You must have a fenced yard to adopt Cotton, as she loves to chase anything that moves outside. She has been around cats, she is curious, but she has not chased or pursued cats.

COTTON is located in FERNANDINA BEACH, FL. You must travel to FERNANDINA BEACH to meet COTTON and bring any other pets and residents you have for the meeting. If you would like more information on COTTON or to be considered for adoption, you must complete an adoption application at www.viprescue.org. Our volunteer will contact you once your application is approved. We are unable to respond to your emails and messages without you first completing an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida or Georgia resident and a homeowner, be at least 25 years of age to adopt. A fenced yard is not negotiable. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. This breed typically lives 12-15 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets’ estimated lifespan. Hey everyone, we’d like you to meet “Popcorn”! He got his name because when he gets groomed his hair curls right back up and looks like fresh popcorn! He’s a super sweet 2 year old boy who loves to play play play, so he’s thinking he’d like an energetic playful home and family. Popcorn was found as a stray and has been in a foster home with kids, grandkids and other pups and is doing great with all. He has a great personality to! He loves attention and of course, his yummy food. The food, oh my, he will do anything and get anywhere to find food. You will actually need to “Popcorn proof” your home, no lie. He will get on chairs, tables and counter surf in search of any unattended morsels. Haha! Seriously, you cant leave that plate or pot of spaghetti out anywhere because he will get it and eat all of it, ALL.OF.IT.????? Ok, so we’re assuming at this point you get the idea, right? Oh boy, that’s a challenge, right? Do you have time to play and take walks, and play and walk and play some more with this guy??? He’s all about that! He is crate trained for sleeping at night or he will snuggle up in the human bed if that’s ok with you. If you don’t want him in your bed, he will need to be in a crate.(Remember the counter surfing? Yup!) He is very smart and could benefit from some formal training. He is ok on the leash, he loves to lead the way but does take correction to slow it down and walk nice, but when he sees another dog, he gets excited and wants to say hi to everyone. Again, with a little training and time, he will be the bestest boy. He has the typical puppy energy and is somewhat of an adventurer. Are you looking for a best friend who would keep you company indoors and out? Popcorn may be the dog for you!

Popcorn is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for this great boy.

Sheba / Myakka City

Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Labradoodle mix

Age: 2yr DOB 1-3-23

Sex: Spayed Female

Weight: 48 lb currently

Color: Apricot

DOGS: She will require another established dog in the home to play with.

Kids: Respectful 7 + with dog experience, she would not be a good fir for a first time dog owner.

Fenced yard: Secure 6 foot fence Required, attached to the home, a dog park is not a substitute.

We’d like you to meet one of the sweetest gals ever! This is Sheba, a beautiful almost 2 year old Labradoodle girl. Sheba came to us in horrible shape weighing in at just a mere 22lbs and very sickly. She has spent the last few months in one of our amazing foster homes, and is now a happy, healthy girl weighing about 48lbs. She does has some food aggression, the foster will go over this with you.

Sheba is not completely house broken, she is working hard at it and absolutely LOVES other dogs and kids too! She does have some separation anxiety, so it is crucial that she goes to a home where the family is home more often that not, has a doggie or 2 siblings of similar size to learn from and play with, and kids? that’s a bonus for her as she loves them! She must have a single family owned home with a secured fenced in yard for her to do her zoomies in and play with her new family. Shiba needs more leash walking training and basic obedience training.

Sorry, no rentals, no apartments, no Condos, etc., it’s what’s best for her, and what she truly needs. A young, active family would be ideal for her.

Sheba has been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and is on her monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Please keep in mind she will need groomed every 6-8 weeks with a cost of about $100-150.

Do you think your family is the one sweet Sheba is searching for? Do you meet all of her needs? If so, Sheba would love to hear from you!

Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Sheba and all of our VIP foster pups wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

Age: 9yrs DOB 4-22-15
Sex: Neutered Male
Weight: 9 lb
Color: Tan/White
DOGS: Yes, another dog in home required
Kids: Respectful 10+ with small dog experience
Fenced yard: Secure fenced yard attached to the home is required

Hey there friends of VIP Rescue! It’s me, Marlin! I’m a super sweet handsome 9 year old guy who weighs just 9 lbs. You see, I’ve had several changes in my short life, but now since coming to the great folks at VIP, I’m on the road to a fabulous life! I just love cuddling with the “hoomans” and play real nice with the doggies in my foster home. I’ve been told I do great on a leash. I can be a little nervous to start, but I do warm up if given some time. A fenced in yard in a single family home is a must for me and non negotiable, sorry, but it’s what’s best for me. A dog park is not a substitute. I would prefer a home where the human is home more often than not, maybe a work at home person or one that is not gone for more than a few hours at a time. Experience owner only, if you are looking for a first time pup Marlin is not for you. Please check out other adoptable dogs on our website,

Think I might be the guy for you? I sure do hope so! Just go to viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application to get the ball rolling! Hope to hear from you soon! Licks and wags, Marlin

Josephine / Seminole

Available for adoption

www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Yorkipoo mix

Age:  5 mo DOB 6-18-24

Sex: Spayed Female

Weight: 2.6 lb currently – adult weight could be up to 10 lbs

Color: Tan and Black

DOGS:  She would like another dog to play with in her new home (other dog must be small breed, 15 lbs or less)

Kids: Respectful 10+ with tiny dog experience

Tiny breed experience in the home is a MUST and you will need to be able to provide proof.

We would like to introduce the tiniest, sweet Josephine, Isn’t she the cutest ‘lil girl? :-o. Some of you might remember when she came to us a few months ago.  She was itty bitty and in really rough shape.  Fast forward, here she is a healthy happy bundle of puppy.  She is 5 months old, currently a whopping.. tiny 2.6 lbs, and we think her adult weight could be up to 10 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Josephine is your typical tiny puppy, loves to play with the other pups in her foster home, loves her yummy food, and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things, so she will need age appropriate puppy chew toys. After playtime, she will settle down in a puppy huddle to relax.

Puppies require a lot of time, patience and consistency in potty training. As a plus she has been practicing leash walks with her foster siblings.

Also, don’t forget, puppies can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for her safety.  She does require a home with patience as she is a bit of a drama queen and seeks attention.  A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference. Josephine would love a family that will continue to show her all the good things that life has to offer. Since she is so tiny, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 10+ and tiny dog experienced. She is fast and so small she darts and can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. She will need to be in a home where her people are agile and keen to keep an eye out for her.  She is looking for a home with another dog for her to play with and learn from, but other dogs in home but be small breeds no more than 15 lbs for her safety, please no big dogs.

Josephine has been spayed, (Foster Mom will go over post surgery instructions with you) is current on her age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on her heartworm prevention and she does not weight enough, yet for flea prevention.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

MEET COTTON! Cotton is a beautiful calm sweet white female Standard Poodle weighing about 65 lbs. She is very devoted and makes a great companion as she follows your every move. She wants to be a part of all your activities and be next to you wherever life takes you. COTTON likes people, kids, and is dog-friendly. COTTON would love to be the center of your universe and will adore you! Cotton loves toys and playing fetch, so please lots of squishy toys! COTTON enjoys frequent walks and has excellent leash manners. She has excellent recall; she sits nicely and aims to please. She is house-trained and loves to run, romp, and do zoomies in her fenced yard. Some of her skills include a master counter surfer typical of the breed. She is skilled at opening doors, drawers, and lower cabinets scavenging for food when you leave. She loves trash if you leave it accessible when you leave. She does not ruin anything in your home or chew anything – except food, and she will happily to eat anything you feed her. COTTON is well mannered, has mastered basic obedience, and is a very happy girl just waiting for that special person(s) to come along to complete her life. She would prefer not to be left at home much and hopes that you are retired or work from home.

COTTON loves to go places, ride in the car, and hang out with you wherever you go. Take her to dinner, take her shopping, take her in your RV, just take her! She will happily snuggle with you at night, and lay her head on your chest waiting for an ear rub. She loves car rides and is great on long trips. In her foster home, we are not crating her, however she has a crate with an open door she frequently snoozes in. We do not crate her when we leave because she does not like that and barks non-stop if we leave her crated. She does fine when you are gone, provided you leave her within an area with no access to food & trash and another dog to comfort her. COTTON is well socialized, and well-mannered in social situations. She will bark at intruders and let you know if some is at your door! Once reassured, she welcomes guests, human and dogs, with open arms to your home. She is the perfect 10+.

COTTON came to VIP Rescue from a lady who found her aimlessly walking down a dirt road at 30 lbs. back in January. We have looked for her owner with no success. She was in rough shape, sick, and severely neglected. After not finding her owner, she was brought to VIP Rescue. She has had bilateral entropion surgery, a dental, has been spayed, and allergy tested. She is now ready to find her perfect home! She has been an outstanding houseguest at her foster home and frolicks with the other poodles here.

COTTON is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped. She likes walks 2-3 times a day and playing in the fenced yard. She requires frequent brushing and monthly grooming which costs $150-$200. She is fed prescription food or a home cooked diet as she has GI issues. We have figured out her diet and she no longer experiences GI issues if you follow the protocol of food and supplements – we will explain. She has been to an array of veterinarians and specialists at UF Small Animal Hospital for her recovery. Preference will be given to those adopters with Standard Poodle experience.

COTTON can offer you her unconditional love, loyalty, and affection. She is a great dog, and someone is going to hit the jackpot with this amazingly well-adjusted attentive girl! You must have a 6-foot fence to adopt Cotton, as she loves to chase anything that moves outside. We have not had her cat tested, but to be safe a cat is probably not a good idea.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida or GA resident and homeowner, be at least 25 years of age to adopt. A fenced yard is required and not negotiable. If you want more info or would like to meet COTTON, please complete an adoption application at www.viprescue.org

PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO !!

Hello there, It’s me Cooper ( you may remember me from earlier cuz’ I’m still lookin’ for my forever person) I’m a 4 year old extremely handsome terrier mix boy. I have been told I am a member in good standing of the He-Man Woman Hater Club, but I am getting to know that the female type might be ok as well.(I currently do have a foster Daddy AND foster Mommy, but boy, did Mommy have her work cut out for her!) BUT.. she did everything right, and it sure took a while, but I’m thinking I wubs her now) I am looking for a Daddy (or maybe, just maybe, a single female) that has a lifestyle that allows me to keep my good standing. For some crazy reason, I prefer men, so If you are of the female persuasion, we will need to meet and spend some time together to see if I enjoy your company. We all have our own “quirks”, right?

If you are in the market for a little project, I just might be the pup for you, and as a terrier, I have some requirements that must be met by my future human.

First, I must be the center of your universe. I love life as long as I get all the attention and get my way, so NO CHILDREN, NO SENIORS and NO OTHER PETS. In return, I will make you the center of my universe, snuggling and cuddling with you. Second, I require my Human to be a homebody, either work from home and/or retired as I am afflicted with separation anxiety. Third, I must be exercised on a very regular basis. I know that I really need an active Human and I also require a secured fenced in yard in a single family home (sorry, no townhomes, apartments, condos, manufactured homes and no rentals.) I love leash walks, I love barking at cars and everything on wheels as they go by, I know, it’s a little annoying, but I am working on it. I am used to 3-4 walks a day, I know that’s going to eliminate some great Humans, but it’s what’s bestest for me. I might be little, but I require a lot of room to stretch my legs as I like to zoom, zoom, zoom throughout the back yard. It is my job to keep all predators out of the back yard and I am excellent at my job if I do say so myself. Fourth, Bones and Toys!!!! I enjoy chewing on bones and playing with my toys. Fifth, lottsa love and patience!!! I am a good boy when all my requirements are fulfilled, which is mostly LOVE. I luvs to sleep in the human bed, snuggling under the covers. I will also require regular grooming, so please keep that in mind. It’s all about ME!!!!! As long as you understand all is good in my world.

Rescue Note: Cooper has been with us in our Rescue for quite some time now due to his “quirkiness” and his specific needs. Due to his foster parents love, devotion and most of all patience, he is ready for a family of his own now. We would consider a couple, but with that you both will need to be extremely patient and on board with all his “needs”. Ideally he’s look’n for a single human (male) home and a home visit WILL be required.

Cooper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention!

So, anywho, I just want to mention, and not to be mean or disrespectful, but if you don’t meet all my needs, please don’t apply for me. There are some other great pups in our rescue that might fit into your home better.

Applications that don’t meet Coopers requirements will be not be processed and will be closed.

Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

I really really hope my new Human is out there looking for his best boy, me! Cooper!

Standard Adoption Requirements: You must be a resident of FL., and be at least 25 years of age. This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting. Your age should be appropriate for Coopers estimated lifespan.

Betti Jo / Seminole

Available for Adoption

VIPRescue.org

Dog names: Betty Jo

Dob: 5-7-19

Breed: ShihTzu / Chihuahua mix

Weight: 15 lbs

Gender: Female

House Trained: Yes

Location: Seminole. FL

Good with dogs: Yes, similar size

Good with kids: unknown, 12+ patient & respectful

Color: Black/Grey and small patch of white

Fence: Recommended, we want her to have as much freedom as possible.

Please read ENTIRE bio before completing an application to adopt.

Betti Jo arrived at VIP Rescue with 2 little girls in tow from one of her many litters. Betty Jo is a 5 year old Shih Tzu / Chihuahua mix weighing in at15 lbs! Rescued from a hoarder/breeder, Betti Jo arrived just in time to VIP Rescue with life-threatening Pyometra. Betti Jo was immediately spayed, received a much needed dental and extractions. Due to trying to escape her miserable past life confined in a crate, many of her front teeth are gone. We celebrated with Betti Jo that day! No more babies, no more living in a crate, and it is time to spoil Betti Jo!

Betti Jo is learning all about human contact, cuddles, now sleeping with a human, and enjoying a lap of love. While Betti Jo is absorbing all this love, she is still shy, still a little nervous, and we take things at her pace. Each day she is learning to trust more. We are preparing her to be adopted soon to a patient person; she is now healthy, and ready to become someone’s princess.

Betti Jo is a patient mother to her pups, Billi Jo and Bobbi Jo. She is their jungle gym, their chew toy, they climb all over her, and sleep with her. She is housetrained and learning to walk on a leash. We have started giving her one on one time, and relieving her of her motherly duties. Each day she makes social progress and is loving all the attention, but this takes time…..and on her terms.

Betti Jo’s future home must absolutely be patient, teaching her to trust, and be committed to showing her all the love she deserves so she can be the best girl we know she can be. We would love to see her go to a home where someone is home more often than not. She is learning what toys are. A fenced yard is recommended- we want her to have as much freedom as possible since she has been confined to a crate most of her life. She loves to hang out in the shade with you and she really enjoys the fresh air. A single-family home would be best. Betti Jo has found her voice and likes to bark as neighbors go walking by. She could be your one and only dog, or if you have another small dog that is submissive and mild mannered, that may work. As for kids, 12 plus and respectful of her space and patient would be considered.

Betti Jo is spayed, a fresh dental, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

If you think this shy sweet girl might be for you, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Sweet Pea/Largo

DOB: 9-19-2015

Breed: Terrier/Chi mix

Weight: 20 lbs

Color: Tri-color mostly black

House trained: Yes

Location: Largo

Cats: No

Dogs: Recommend to be only pet

Kids: Unknown, probably yes 13+

Fence: Yes, required – 6 ft secure

**We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be CLOSED**

Meet Sweetpea (aka Sweetie pie, Sweetie, Sweets), can you guess her personality by her monikers? That’s right! She is super sweet! Sweetie is the perfect combination of couch potato/snuggle bug and terrier adventurer. She loves walks and will sit so you can attach her leash. However, she is very reactive toward other dogs; barking and lunging until they are out of sight. She does not seem reactive toward people, bicycles, cars, etc, and she loves to chase, which is why we recommend a fenced in yard. She likes to chase lizards, birds, squirrels, possums, pretty much anything that moves. Sweetie is very smart and eager to please, and with proper training and commitment, she could learn to be less reactive on walks. She gets along well with her current foster siblings, but did not like two dogs who visited for two weeks. With positive reinforcement, she was able to tolerate them, but never fully accepted them. She would be happiest as your one and only, as she wants all the attention. Are you looking for a best friend who would keep you company indoors and out? Sweetie may be the dog for you!

Sweetpea COMPLETED her heartworm treatment. Sweetpea is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for this great girl!

Lola / Holiday

Available for adoption

Viprescue.org

Age: 8yrs

Breed: Pug/beagle mix

Weight: currently 30 lbs. (should be 18-20 lbs)

Gender: Female

House trained: yes

Location: Holiday FL

Color: tan

Good with dogs: Yes

Not cat tested

Fenced yard recommended

Hi there everyone! I’m Lola, a very sweet 8 year old Pug-Beagle mix gal. First, let me apologize as I’m a bit overweight, but am working real hard to lose those excess pounds. My foster parents have me on a low calorie diet, and while I’m not crazy about it because it’s so different than the human food I’m used to eating, I am coping with the change and have already lost over 2 pounds! Yeah me!!

My friend Bailey (see separate post) and I came to VIP Rescue after we were taken in by Animal Control after our human passed away. We could be adopted together if you have space for both of us, or separately is fine, as we are not really a bonded pair, but we do know each other from living together and we used to play together and snuggle. By the way, we are in separate foster homes and doing great!

I had a couple lumpy bump that needed to be surgically removed, along with a fresh dental and my friends here at VIP took care of that for me. Now I’m all ready to find a new home!

My foster parents love that I am such a sweet girl. I get along with all the other dogs in the house and like to play when I can coax someone into playing with me. Otherwise, I’m quite content to hang with my humans while they do whatever they do. I do exhibit a few of the Beagle traits. Sometimes I like to howl at noises I don’t understand. I’d also be a good watchdog, I like to monitor my surroundings and sound the alarm when something seems amiss. Arooooooooo!

My Pug traits are more dominant though. I have a happy tail that is more Pug than “Beagley” My curiosity and head tilts are already legendary with foster Mom and Dad. I will barge through closed doors if I get the chance, just like my Pug brother.

While I’m generally very easy going, strange noises might frighten me. When foster Mom was using the trimmer, for example, I felt compelled to attack it because I didn’t know what it was! Also, watch your plants; I like to sneak a nibble now and then. I guess that makes me a normal dog just trying to make her way in the world, right? ? I just know if you met me, you’ll fall in love.

I’m spayed, microchipped, fresh dental current on my vaccines and on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application if you’re interested in me! ?

If you think I might be the girly for you, maybe with my buddy Bailey please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!!

DOG NAME: Scout / St. Petersburg

DOB: 2/9/23

DOG BREED: Mini Schnauzer Mix

COLOR: white

DOG WEIGHT: 9-lbs

GENDER: Male

HOUSE TRAINED: Yes, as long as he is let out often

CRATE TRAINED: Yes

LOCATION: St. Petersburg

GOOD WITH DOGS: No, needs to be your one and only.

COOD WITH CATS; No

GOOD WITH KIDS: 12+ respectful kid

FENCED YARD: Required, not negotiable

Ideal home: 1-2 humans and Scout is the one and only animal in the home with a secure fenced yard.

Hi Scout Fans! Hoping we can meet in person? To know me is to love me! I’m a super cute 1-year-old Mini Schnauzer weighing in at 9 lbs. I’m a high-energy pup who loves to play, chase balls outside, I love squeaky toys, and taking long leash walks with you. After a day of excitement, I enjoy snuggling with you on the couch for a nap.

I need lots of cuddles, human affection, and a good ball-throwing arm. I also need someone who is home most often, is retired, or works from home. I don’t want to be left alone if we can avoid that most of the time. I came from an unsafe environment and can be scared easily, especially around new people or dogs. I take time to adjust to new faces, new places, and need your patience and more training. In return, I will provide you unconditional love, and be your loyal loving boy. I find great comfort in a quiet home with one adult who enjoys playing ball and snuggling with me.

I’m not fully potty trained quite yet in the house, but I am crate trained. I am improving with frequent trips outside. A secure fenced-in yard is a must for my exercise and zooming needs. I also need regular monthly grooming to keep me in tip-top shape and looking my best for you. Did I mention I am super cute and everyone wants to pet me?

I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention. I have Diabetes insipidus (this is NOT related type 1 or type 2 diabetes) and my foster mom will explain. Don’t let that scare you because it is simple to help me. Mostly it means I need access to a secure fenced yard so I can relieve my little bladder frequently. I am also taking a daily medicine, it is not expense and yay I am expected to have a normal life expectancy Lucky ME!!!!

If you think you’re a good fit for me, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for Scout.

Note that you must be a Florida resident, at least 25 years old, and your past pets should have been be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and have consistent veterinary care.

Thank you for reading my information today. If this is here , I am still available for adoption fans!

Kids: Respectful 8+

Hey there VIP peeps! My name is Charlotte, and I’m a 4 month old 6 lb. Scuffy Terrier mix puppy!

I like other doggies, (small to medium pups) no big doggies for me! I’m. I love to play with my age appropriate puppy toys, and boy, the food here at my foster home is just delish! I am very smart, eager to learn, catching onto routines around my foster home very quickly. I like to please, it would be fun to train me with consistent work.

Did I mention I’m a puppy? I LOVE to run and play, so a young, active family, will be what I need, (no couch potatoes for this girl!) and preferably one with a secure fenced in yard for me to run around, play ball with you and burn some of this energy off. I’d be ok with kids, as long as they’re respectful and experienced with dogs, say 8+ and respectful of my little size. I’m still working on this “housebreaking” thing, so you MUST be committed to continue my training, and please, because I’m so young, I CANNOT be left alone for hours on end, that’s not good for me, so please take that into consideration as well. If you work part time-time, or work from home, that’d be best!

I’ve been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and have been started on my heartworm and flea prevention to! So……if you’re a young active family looking for an adorable active puppy, please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application for me, k? ADOPTION Pending / Lucie / Seminole

Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Havapoo mix

Age: 13 weeks old DOB 7-16-24

Sex: Female spayed

Weight: 4lb currently – for an adult weight 10-20 lbs

Color: Chocolate fluffy

DOGS: She is good with other dogs but also could be an only pup

Kids: Respectful 8+

Hey there, I’m Lucie, a 13 week old Havapoo little girl who was born on 7/16/24. I currently weigh just 4 little pounds, but my friends here think I’ll probably weigh between 10-20 lbs when I’m all grown up, but remember, that’s not guaranteed. I’m a total cutie who loves to play with the other pups in my foster home or just cuddle with my foster mom. Like any puppy, I like to play, eat the yummies Foster Mom makes us, and of course, chew on things. Well heck, those shoes are just waiting for my toofers, you know? But that’s where you come in, cause you’re gonna have to keep a close eye on me so that I don’t get into any puppy mischief, and give me lots of age appropriate puppy toys, ok? Oh, don’t forget to “puppy proof” my new home!

Gender: Female

Location: Holiday FL

Good with other dogs: Yes,Pixie needs another playful dog in the home.

Good with kids: Yes, Pixie wants kids in her new home to romp and play. She loves kids!

Color: Cream

Hi everyone! My name is Pixie. I’m thought to be a 4 year old Yorkie Chihuahua mix, although my foster parents struggle to see the Chihuahua. Honestly it doesn’t matter to me because I’m just so adorable. I know you’ll fall in love with me the minute you meet me.

I came to VIP Rescue because my mother moved and couldn’t take me with her. For some strange reason her new home doesn’t allow dogs. I don’t understand, but I’m adaptable and will make myself at home no matter who adopts me. I sure feel comfortable in my temporary home, and I’m sure I’ll take to my new permanent home just fine.

Currently I’m a bit overweight at 16 pounds, but my foster parents have already started a new feeding regime to help me lose weight. It would be best if you could help keep me on track to get to a healthy weight. I know if you take me for walks, which I love, and play with me outside I’ll be fit and trim in no time at all!

You should know that some loud noises do make me afraid. I really don’t like thunder and fireworks also make me anxious, but I’m willing to snuggle to help me get through it if you will let me. Of course I always love to snuggle, so that should not be a problem. I’m potty trained, assuming I am taken out regularly and of course, a fenced yard is a plus!

I would love a home with another mild-mannered dog, i could also have a home with respectful kid(s) that I can play with. I am very sweet and have a happy tail. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and humans of any age. Just show me love and I’ll happily reciprocate. I’ve been spayed, am current on all vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea medication. Got to stay safe, you know.

If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online at www.viprescue.org. I hope to meet you soon!

Love and tail wags, Your friend, Pixie

Ember / Seminole

Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Pomsky mix

Age: 4 mo DOB 7-5-24

Sex: Spayed Female

Weight: 4lb currently – for an adult weight – could be up to 30 lbs

Color: White fluffy, with random dark markings

DOGS: She would like another dog to play with in his new home. Kids: Respectful 8+

Cover your eyes! You’re not going to believe who you’re going to see next! Why it’s Ember! She’s a 15 week old blue-eyed Pomsky born on 7/5/24. She is currently just a teeny tiny 4lbs, and we think her adult weight can average up to 30 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Ember is your typical puppy, loves to play with the other pups in her foster home, loves her yummy food, and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things, so she will need age appropriate puppy chew toys. After playtime, she will settle down in a puppy huddle to relax. Puppies require a lot of time, patience and consistency in potty training. Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for her safety. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference. Little Ember would love a family that will continue to show her all the good things that life has to offer. Since she is so tiny, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 8+.

Ember has been spayed, (Foster Mom will go over post surgery instructions with you) is current on her age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on her heartworm and flea prevention.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Color: White fluffy, with brindle markings

DOGS: She would like another dog to play with in his new home.

Get ready for 100% cuteness overload! We’d like you to meet little Phoebe! She’s a 15 week old double Merle female Toy Australian Shepherd born on 7/3/24. She weighs a whopping 4lbs, can be a little shy, but loves to cuddle and play with the other dogs in her foster home. She has the most beautiful blue eyes! We think her adult weight can average approximately 15-22 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee.

Little Phoebe is doing great in her foster home and is in the beginning stages of potty training, and currently knows how to use the “potty pads” in the home. She’s good with other pups her size, but boy oh boy, those little “toofers” are sharp, sharp sharp! If she gets a hold of you, you’re gonna know it! Her new family must be 100% committed to working on all her puppy training with her, there will be no exceptions.

Everyone loves an adorable puppy, but they are a lot of work, but totally worth it! Due to her size, if there are any children in the home, they should be a little older, say 8+ respectful. Phoebe would like an amazing family to grow up with, one who will shower her with the love, affection, time and all the patience a puppy needs. A family where someone either works from home or works part time will be given preference.

Phoebe has been spayed, is up to date with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and has been started on her heartworm and flea prevention. If you feel you’d be a great match for little Phoebe, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

?Hey there, I’m Pookie, an 18 week old Pekingese little boy who was born on 6/9/24. I currently weigh just 5 little pounds, but my friends here think I’ll probably weigh between 12-17lbs when I’m all grown up, but remember, that’s not guaranteed. I’m a total cutie who loves to play with the other pups in my foster home. Like any puppy, I like to play, eat the yummies Foster Mom makes us, and of course, chew on things. Well heck, those shoes are just waiting for my toofers, you know? Hey there VIP peeps! My name is Jackie, and I’m a 4 month old 6 lb. Jack Russell mix HIGH ENERGY puppy!

I like other doggies, (smaller pups) no big doggies for me! I’m so “wittle”, and they scare me! lol. I love to play with my age appropriate puppy toys, and boy, the food here at my foster home is just delish!

Did I mention I’m a HIGH ENERGY puppy? I LOVE to run and play, so a young, active family will be what I need,( no couch potatoes for this girl!) and preferably one with a secure fenced in yard for me to run around, play ball with you and burn some of this energy off. Kids? I’d probably be ok, as long as they’re older, say 13+ and respectful of my itty bitty size.

Good with dogs: Yes

Fenced yard recommended

Well, hey there everyone, My name is Zippey! I’m a fabulous 16 lb. 2 year old Yorkie mix guy.

My former people couldn’t afford my much needed Veterinary care, the recommended treatment was not followed and I had been in pain for a few months, and trust me, that was no fun, so they brought me in to the Vet to be “put to sleep” because of lack of funds, and thank goodness the Director of VIP was there at the same time with another pupper, and the Vet asked VIP Rescue if they would take me into their program for emergency treatment, and as usual, they said YES!

(Thank you Ms.Betsy, I wuvs you ???)

The amazing “dog”ter West immediately began treatment for my urinary issues, and I was able to be released after a few hours to begin my new healthy life with my foster Mom! Due to previous prolonged lack of care, I’m working on regaining my muscle strength to have complete control of my”tinkling”. I’m working so hard on it, but I do wear a little “belly band” inside the house for now, but when I’m outside I can tinkle anywhere I want! lol I’m making steady progress so in no time I’ll be all better and be housebroken again, I can’t wait! I will be on a special diet for life, which you must be committed to, k?

I LOVE to play with my soccer ball and run like crazy all over the yard, and hey, you know what’s better than playing in the yard with the ball? Playing with YOU! We can have a blast playing soccer T.O.G.E.T.H.E.R! oh my gosh, how great would that be! I get along with other pups my size, or I could be your one and only. I do want a family that has their own home with a fenced in yard too! I’m going to require regular grooming every 6-8 weeks or so, with a cost of $60 -100 per visit, so please make sure you work that into your budget, k?

I’m neutered, current on all my vaccinations, microchipped and am on heartworm and flea prevention. If you think I’m the boy for you, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application! I can’t wait to meet my new family ???

Age: 7years

Breed: Shitzu mix

Weight: 17 lbs.

Gender: Female

House trained: yes

Location: Redington Beach, FL

Color: Black/Gray

Good with dogs: Yes

Not cat tested

Say hello to sweet Molley!

She’s a 7 year old Shih Tzu mix gal weighing in at a svelt 17lbs! Molley was originally adopted from VIP when she was a pup, and has been returned to us through no fault of her own. She did require fairly extensive medical care, which of course she received the very best, and is now all better and ready to find her “fur” ever home. Molley needs an adult home where her human is home more often than not, a work from home human, or one that is retired would be best for her. Her new family must be a very patient, loving, caring, responsible one, who will continue with Molleys routines and needs.

Due to her previous issue, she’ll need to stay on the specific diet she’s currently on, (we will explain that to an approved applicant) NO human food at all, no exceptions. It’s what’s best for her, and we have promised her the best is yet to come! Molley gets along well with other doggies, if you have a pup at home, Molley would like to meet them first to make sure they’ll be the best of friends. She loves to play, and enjoys her leash walks early in the day when it’s cooler. She will require regular grooming, about every 6-8 weeks, with an average cost of about $ 60-100.00 each visit, so definitely keep that in mind with your budget if you’re interested in her.

Molley is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines and on her heartworm and flea prevention. Are you that special someone Molley is looking for? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application!

Bailey / Redington Beach

Available for Adoption

Dog names: Bailey

Dob: 7-27-14

Breed: Yorkie mix

Weight: 6 lbs

Gender: Male

House Trained: Yes

Location: Redington Beach. FL

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: unknown, 8+ patient & respectful

Color: Red and black

Cuteness Alert!

We’d like to introduce you to Bailey. He’s a 10 year young Yorkie gentleman, weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs! He and his friend Lola (a pug, see separate post) were taken by Animal Control from a home after their human passed away, and VIP Rescue stepped up to take them both into our rescue.

We originally placed them both with the same foster, and they really didn’t appear to be bonded, so we tried them with separate foster homes and they are both doing great apart! Of course, if someone is interested, they can be placed in a home together.

Bailey was very timid at first to walk on the leash, he would start out and get to the end of the front yard and then put the brakes on and you try to move a 6lb stubborn pup, LOL. The foster mom had a back up plan and scooped him up and put him in a sling for a ride along. After a few more attempts to get him to walk, each time he would go a little farther, then he got the hang of it and was eager to walk more, and now after a few weeks he is the leader, out front showing the way, for the sunrise pack walk. He loves these sniffy sunrise walks and hopes his “fur”ever humans will keep these walks up. He also loves to sun himself in the fenced back yard. Although a fenced yard is not required, he would love to have a secured area to enjoy the outdoor smells, with a shady spot to hang out in the fresh air. We would like to keep him active and out for his exercise walks, buts he’s also happy to ride along in a sling and go everywhere with you or will even tolerate (hahaha) a stroller if your are going out and it is too hot for his paws on the ground.

Bailey loves to snuggle up on a lap or a soft doggy bed for his afternoon snoozes or if his human is reading a book or watching TV, Bailey will step on, walk over and sometime sit on another pup to get to foster moms lap. He has learned this is a treasured place and you need to get there quick to get the best part of the humans lap.

Bailey will sleep in a doggy bed at night or if you allow it, he will sleep in the human bed. He sleeps up by the foster mom’s pillow in a donut bed so he does not get squished by the other pups that join in for bedtime. He is learning what toys are and knows what food is. He will need to continue with medicated baths for a while as he came in with some hair loss, no worries though, as he has already received many and his hair is growing back nicely. He will need regular grooming, please keep this expense in mind if you are considering adopting him, usually grooming expenses can be $60-100 every 6-8 weeks.

He could be your one and only dog, or if you have another dog, they will need to meet, as he does well with the other dogs in the foster home and he loves to greet all sizes and ages of dogs on our morning walks, he even flirts with a 60 lb doodle mix! A mild mannered, small, respectful dog would be considered in an existing home, but remember he is so tiny and we don’t want him to get stepped on or squished with an over active, high energy dog. As for kids, to our knowledge, he has not been around them, ages 13+ who will be respectful of his space and patient with him would be considered.

Bailey is neutered, has had a fresh dental, (16 teeth extracted) but no worries, he has enough left to gobble up his senior kibble at meal time. He is also microchipped, current on all vaccines and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

If you think this tiny guy might be for you, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. ADOPT BUBBA / Port Orange, FL VIP Rescue: www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Standard Poodle DOB: 01/10/2013 Sex: Male Weight: 60lbs Requires: Fenced Yard 5 foot or higher. DOGS: Likes the company of older calmer standard poodles preferably female. Cats: Not good with cats Kids: Older calm kids

IDEAL FAMIILY: Bubba is an 11 year old 60 lb Senior Standard Poodle. He is a happy boy, he is calm, cool, and collected. Bubba is a great houseguest. He does not ask for much, a soft bed, good food, a walk, rub his ears and belly, a couch to lounge on, and would love to patrol your yard. He is already trained, and will make someone an amazing companion. What more could you ask for?

Bubba is looking for a calm family where someone is home most of the time. He loves people and loves to be in their company but he is not needy. He has been used to several other standard poodles in his pack, but would do well also as an only dog with a doting human. He prefers female dogs.

Bubba Info: Even though Bubba is a senior he still l loves to patrol the yard, and play a quick short distance ball game. He doesn’t always care to bring the ball back though, ha ha! He is house and crate trained, and has very good house manners. He does not need to be crated. He is great on car rides. Bubba is affectionate, a friendly boy, very gentle, and curious about things. He will alert you and bark when someone comes to the door. He’s good being groomed, but being a senior, short sessions are encouraged.

Bubba requires frequent brushing and grooming. Grooming prices have skyrocketed, so please make sure that monthly grooming is in your budget. Bubba is recently neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, had a dental, and is current on preventatives. He has no known medical issues and his bloodwork was perfect.

Bubba comes to us from a former breeder who was no longer able to keep him due to health issues. Through no fault of his own Bubba came to VIP Rescue. Bubba is being fostered in Port Orange Florida. To meet Bubba, you will need to travel to Port Orange to meet him.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, live in a single family home, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, and be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care.

Weight: 10 lbs

Fence: not required, bonus for Franklin if you have one

House broken: Yes

Dogs: gets along with other dogs. Needs another dog in his new home.

Cats: Unknown

Ideal Family: someone who is home most of the time. Franklin requires a house with other dogs. He does not like being alone.

Hello, my name is Franklin! My foster mom calls me a catdog because I rub up against her legs to show her how happy I am to see her. Or it could be because I love to snuggle, but also love to sleep by myself and because I like to sit on the back of the loveseat, like a little lord surveying his kingdom. I don’t know about this catdog business, I’m just Franklin. I love giving canine hugs, where I tuck my head under your chin and snuggle on in. I love going outside and sniffing everything. If you don’t have a fenced in yard, I’m just as happy going for walks to get my sniffle time in. I like to follow my foster siblings around to see what they are doing and join in if they are doing something fun, or getting attention!!! I love food, really love food, but I had to have several teeth pulled so I have a hard time chewing crunchies. My mom puts yummy chicken broth on my food to make it soft and I gobble it down.(she’s the bestest, right?) I will sit for treats, but they have to be small and soft so I can eat them. When mom says it’s bedtime, I run over so she can pick me up onto the bed. I love to snuggle at night with a person, another dog, a blanket, a pillow; I’m not picky! Ha! Mom is trying to get me to come to her when she calls my name, but I’m so busy sniffing, I pretend I can’t hear (hehehehe). I will come for treats though! ? In my new home, I need another dog to play with. That is very important for me to be totally happy!

I was recently neutered, updated on my vaccines, microchipped, even had a dental! I’m also current on my preventatives.(SO important!) I will require regular grooming appointments to keep me lookin’ my best for the ladies, so please factor that into your monthly budget. Typically it could run $ 60.00 and up per visit. So whatya think? Ready for me to join your family? I sure hope so. Please go to www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application for me, k? See you soon! Love and tail wags, Franklin xoxoxo ???

Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. I really really hope my new Human is out there looking for his best boy, me! Franklin!

Meet our two latest VIP rescues, Billi Jo and Bobbi Jo, a very bonded set of pups that will need to be adopted together. This  darling pair are spunky active little girls!  Billi Jo is 1.5-year-old 8 lb. ShihTzu mix, while Bobbi Jo is 1.5-year-old 7.5 lb. Japanese Chi mix. They are thought to be sisters bred from their Mother Betti Jo who we also have available for adoption!  They always play together, sit together, sleep together, eat together, cuddle together, well, you get the idea!    Billi Jo, Bobbi Jo, and Mom Betti Jo were all rescued from a dog hoarder / breeder and we are working on their socialization skills.  They have not had the best start in life. When this threesome arrived at VIP Rescue, they were so severely matted and likely had never been groomed in their life! They were fearful of humans, and their foster Mom has been extremely patient giving them their space and time they need to adjust to humans. They are curious pups, and like playing with the other pups in the foster home.  We are working hard on human touch and cuddles.  When they finally get tired (and they do!) their second favorite thing to do is pile up and snooze and snore together!     These girls are diligently working on house training, and they do use pee pads most of the time.  Together they love to romp around the fenced back yard and likely had never done that before either.  It’s clear they have never lived in a home, lived with humans, or been loved on. Getting them out frequently has proven to be essential to help them with their house training and social skills. Their future home must absolutely be committed to continue with their training, teaching house manners, and house rules.  Yes, they are so stinking adorable, but it’s going to take dedication and commitment from the right family. It will be so rewarding!    Due to their energy level, it’s best they go into a calm environment where patience and experience is first and foremost. An adult only home is preferred.  They are slowly learning about a collar and harness.  We are trying to advanced them to leash walks, and this is still very new and scary to them.  A single-family home with a secure fenced in yard is a must for them, sorry, no exceptions. (We have other pups available for adoption that might be better suited for your home if this isn’t the one.) They have found their voices, and they do bark when they are startled. Dog parks are not a substitute for a secure fenced yard attached to a single-family home.      Both pups are spayed, a fresh dental, microchipped, current on vaccines and are on heartworm and flea prevention.    If you think these girls might be for you and you can meet all their needs, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.   Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pet’s estimated lifespan.    All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thumbelina / Adoption Pending

Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: English Bull Dog Mix

Age: currently 9 weeks – DOB 5-29-24

Sex: Female spayed

Weight: 10.2 lb currently – for an adult weight 30-50 lbs

Fenced Yard recommended

DOGS: She would like another dog to play with in her new home.

Kids: Respectful 10+

Get ready for 100% cuteness overload! We’d like you to meet little “Thumbelina”! She’s a 9 week old sweet and very active English Bulldog “mix” baby. Her original “home” was a breeder, who surrendered her for Euthanasia due to her eye not being “correct”. What a crock of crap, right? UGH…She has a little piece of skin over a tiny piece of her eye that our Vet said was absolutely no big deal and doesn’t hinder her sight in any way. Ok, enough of that. Let’s talk about this precious little girl.

She’s a pistol for sure, all full of herself and super active. She’s a very confident puppy, and her foster home is working on her harness and leash walking, a true work in progress!

She’s good with other pups her size, but boy oh boy, those little “toofers” are sharp, sharp sharp! She’s gets a hold of you, and you’re gonna know it! Her new family must be 100% committed to working on all her puppy training with her, there will be no exceptions. We are also looking for a family that has a proven track record with this breed. Everyone loves an adorable puppy, but this breed does need someone experienced. Her family should be an adult only home, or possibly a home with older kids, says 14+ might be considered. Thumbelina “Lena” as her foster Mom calls her, would like a young, active family to grow up with, one who will shower her with the love, affection, time and patience a puppy needs. A family where someone either works from home or works part time will be given preference. Work, personal and Veterinary references will be checked.

“Lena” is spayed, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and has been started on her heartworm and flea prevention. If you feel you’d be a great match for Thumbelina, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Location: Citrus Park, FL

Good with cates: Yes

Good with kids: Yes, 8+

Fenced Yard: Recommended

Hi! My name is Mia, but my dad’s call me Cuddlebug! I am a very happy and well adjusted 5 year old Terrier mix little girl who is looking for my furever family. I like to play so it would be great if I had other dogs or cats to play with or even a human sibling in my new home.

I love to snuggle with my humans and give kisses all the time. I’m great at eating (I love my food) and am easy to give my meds to. Speaking of meds, I am heartworm positive so VIP will explain that to you at the end of my greeting. I am good going outside, if you have a fenced yard I can go on my own (with supervision of course cuz’ I’m such a wittle girl) I can walk on my leash, but I like to explore when I’m out and I’ve learned how to use pee pads like my sister dogs do, but once I get in a routine with you I should learn house training in my new home quickly.

Do you have toys at your house? I love toys! I stole my kitty brothers mouse and sister dogs dino. I’ll chase the ball and bring it back to you, but I’m not big so it has to be the small ones. Want to sleep on the couch? I’m there. Want me to sleep in your bed? I’m there! I’m down for wherever you want to nap and I’m good about sleeping through the night!

Now, about that medicine stuff……I am heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you! My friends at VIP Rescue cover ALL the costs associated with my treatment. You’ll need to live within an hour of the St Petersburg, Fl area due to my time sensitive appointments with the “dog”tor. This is very very important, can’t be late for those! During my treatment, I’ll need to hang low, very short leash walks and no zoomies for a bit. Once my treatment is completed, the “Dog”tor will let us know when it’s ok for me to resume normal doggie stuff, but not until then, k? I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I’m on my heartworm and flea prevention. I’m really hoping my “fur”ever family will come along real soon! Please keep in mind this beautiful girl will require grooming. Grooming can run from $60-125.

Please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Kisses and tail wags, Mia xoxoxo

Weight : 8 lbs

Gender: Male

House trained: Yes

Location: Redington Beach, Fl

Gets along with cats: Unknown, but not recommended

**We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed**

Hi friends, my name is Paulie! I’m an 3 year young Chihuahua mix, who weighs all of 8 pounds. I was found as a stray and had to spend a few days at animal services waiting for my “family” to come get me, but they didn’t. It was very noisy and scary but now that I’m with VIP Rescue, I’m slowly learning to enjoy the good life, and it’s definitely a lot quieter here! A VERY quiet low key home is what i’m lookin’ fur. I do enjoy leash walks a couple times a day when it’s not hot out, early morning and evening is best cuz remember, that pavement gets hot real fast! Then I come back to lounge around on any and every dog bed in my foster home! I like to get out in the back yard and enjoy the sun, I do stick close to the human in the home, and I love to sleep in the human bed. There’s this really neat window I enjoy to sit by and watch all the goings on in the neighborhood. I really have not showed interest in toys or playing with the other pups, but hopefully that will come with some time.

I am a laid back, easy going, maybe a wee bit sassy kinda guy, with the dare I say “typical” little man chihuahua syndrome, ya know, I can be a little “fresh” at times. I like it my way and on my time. I cuddle when I want to, and if you go slow to pick me up, we are all good… any sudden moves, I get a little defensive and “snarky”, but give me a few minutes and if you go slow, I’m a happy guy and will accept snuggles and cuddles and back scratches.

My favorite thing is to eat, I need some help with portion control as I could easily get a little overweight in no time, so foster Mom measures my food and I gobble it all up.

I get along great with other small friendly dogs. If you have another little dog that is friendly and well socialized that would be ok, of course we’d have to meet first, or I could also be an only dog, as long as you spend LOTS of time with me, as I do not want to be at home by myself for extended hours. If you work full time outside of the home, I’m not the pup for you. I will definitely need an adult only home, no “littles” please, as I don’t think I would do well with the young 2 legged humans. But, guess what? I am potty trained (yay!) as long as I get out frequently.

I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, had a recent dental and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a resident of FL. live in a single family home, sorry no rentals at this time and be at least 25 years of age. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you have used more than 1 Vet in the past few years, please include the information for both practices.

Please visit www.viprescue.org. and fill out an adoption application. We are all Volunteers at VIP Rescue, with jobs and families of our own. Please be kind and patient while we process applications. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Roxanne is a petite 41lb 3yr old petite female standard poodle. Roxanne loves everyone she meets, and she is simply irresistible! She doesn’t know a stranger. Roxanne is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate at her foster home. She is a Velcro girl, always wanting to be at your side. She enjoys her blanky and toys in bed with her. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!!

DOG NAME: Bonnie / Redington Beach

DOB: 4/14/14

DOG BREED: ShihTzu mix

DOG WEIGHT: 15 lbs

GENDER: Female

HOUSE TRAINED: yes, as long as I get out often. I will use tinkle pads if they are available.

LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes, but prefers to be your one and only

GOOD WITH KIDS: Prefer adult only home

COLOR: Black and White

FENCED YARD: not required, but preferred.

Hi everyone, I’m Bonnie, a 10 year young (Active for my age) 15 lbs Shih tzu girl. My Mom had gotten sick and could no longer keep up with my care. Thankfully I made it to a “paw”some foster home here at VIP Rescue! I am now ready to find my “fur”ever family. IdealIy, I would love to be your one and only in my new home, but I have learned that I do get along with other mild mannered pups, but I do like being the alpha. I am house trained, as long as I get out frequently, but If I’m left too long without an outside break I do know how to use tinkle pads. I enjoy short walks when it’s cooler outside, and sunning myself in a yard or on a porch. I do like to play fetch with a ball, or I can entertain myself with toys. Will you have toys for me in my new home? That’d be great! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I do like to sleep in my humans bed. Yep, I’m just a “wittle” spoiled! Ha! I do have a touch of “attitude” every once in a while so an adult home would definitely be best. My hair grows and I do not shed, but I will need to be groomed on a regular basis (approximately every 6-8 weeks) Grooming can run anywhere from $60-120/per groom, so please keep this expense in mind if you are thinking of offering me a furever home.

I am spayed, microchipped, up to date with vaccines and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention, and also just had a fresh dental. I have by bags packed and I’m ready to goooooooooo! All I’m looking for is a loving, patient quieter adult only home to “chillax” in, could that be yours? Are you the home for me? Please submit an application with VIPRescue.org if you can offer me, Bonnie, a fabulous new home.

This breed typically lives 13-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. My name is Hewbert, but I’m also known as Berty, Hewby and Huey! Ha! I’m probably the cutest puppy you will see today. I’m a 14 week (DOB 12-18-23) PUPPY, I’m an all legs Italian Greyhound. LOL My current weight is a itty bitty 4.8 pounds. I was surrendered to the vet with a request for euthanasia because I had a little something wrong with me (totally fixable) ugh, can you imagine?anyway, this was MY lucky day, as the vet contacted VIP Rescue immediately and they came right over and took me in to a home with one of their pawsome fosters. The “medical” issue is all fixed thanks to the pawsome Vet, and I’m all healed up and looking for my “fur”ever family.

I have been with my Foster mom (who is in love with me and my ears) and foster siblings for a few weeks. I love to play with the other dogs in the foster home, my energy is HIGH and some of the seniors pups are not so keen on my happy go lucky play mode. I do enjoy hanging out in a shady yard (with supervision of course because I’m such an itty bitty boy) or a soft doggy bed for my daily naps.

Puppies are so adorable. If you own your home and are ready for a bouncy, high energy, puppy … I may be for you!!!! I’m ready to begin my journey with you. I’m working on pee-pad training and then will graduate to potty training and leash training. Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your family’s part to be the best pup I can be! I need love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! My little bladder can’t hold it all day so please make sure you can commit to me not being left along longer than 1-2 hours during the day. If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle!

I’m neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate) microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention. So, whatya think? ready to commit to giving me the bestest life? If so, please fill out an application at www.viprescue.org. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pet’s estimated lifespan.

LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes

FENCED YARD: 6 foot secured, attached to a home.

Hello world! Id like to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a 17 lb., six year young, active, Jack Russell scruffy terrier mix girl.

I’ve been known to be a little shy at first meet, but once I feel comfortable with you, let the kisses begin! Oh, and don’t forget the cuddles and hugs, because, you know, it’s all about me! I love love love kisses, If that’s not for you, then I’m probably not the pup for you! I’m known as “THE Velcro dog.” I want to please you every chance I get. I’m a little submissive when you reach down to pet me, I think that has to do with my trust issues, but with lottsa love and KISSES I’m sure it’ll get better. I do roll over on my back looking for those awesome belly rubs. (the best) I get along well with other dogs and I’m active and love to play, and really love those “zoomies”!I

If you think I’m the girl for you, you’re going to have to get used to liking tail wagging all the time.. yep tail wags that make noise on the floor, the couch, the wall….you get the idea, and don’t forget…..you are going to have to get used to kisses and cuddles!

My ideal home is definitely a quieter adult one, one who will commit to me with soft kind words and lots of patience until we become besties. I really really want my very own family, could that be you? I would prefer another doggy or 2 for me to play with, ’cause I love to play. If your are active and very playful I could be your one and only. A secure fenced yard, attached to a home is what I need, that way I can play and zoom, zoom, zoomies in a safe secure place. I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and started on heartworm and flea prevention. If you’d like to make me a part of your family, please submit an application to www.viprescue.org

Tail wags and kisses, Jeanne

Hello! We are Sassy and Pippa, AKA Salt-N-Pepa,

I’m Sassy, a super sweet 8 year old and my bestest sister in the whole wide world, Pippa is 9. We LOVE each other and do everything together: sleep, eat, go outside, play, watch TV, snuggle. So anywhere we go, we definitely need to be together. When we first came to VIP we both went to the ‘dog’tor. I only needed a dental cleaning, but my sister is heartworm positive. She’s going to need special medicine and the doctor said it’s super important that she get that medicine on specific days so you’ll have to live close enough to bring her in on those time sensitive Vet visits. Our friends at VIP Rescue cover ALL costs related to her heartworm treatment and they will give our new family all the dates she needs to go to the Vet. She’ll need to hang low for a while during treatment though, no long walks and no running around until the “Dog”tor says it’s ok. All the protocols and “rules” will be discussed thoroughly with our potential new family. You would never know she was sick though! We are both happy, loving little girls. We LOVE the couch, it’s our favorite place. Especially if there is a human to snuggle up with. As soon as our foster mom sits down, we both try to get on her lap. After some happy wiggles, we will snuggle up as close as we can. We have to make room for our foster siblings too, which is fine, we don’t mind. As long as there are lots of snuggles and belly rubs for us too. Where we are now, we get to sleep in a big bed. Pippa wasn’t sure about that at first, she liked the couch, but I loved the big bed, and where I go, Pippa follows. It took her a few days, but Pippa likes this sleeping arrangement as much as I do. We like to go outside and sunbathe when it’s warm out, but we prefer to be with a human. We play a little and explore a little, but mostly lounge on the couch. We are both spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and are on heartworm and flea prevention.

What do you think, do we sound like the girls for you!? Just tell us so!! Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an application for us! ?

Berg/St Petersburg

Dog Name: Berg

Dob: 11/16/22

Breed: Terrier/Schnauzer mix

Dog Weight: 15 lbs

Gender: Male House

Trained: Yes

Location: Petersburg, FL

Good with Dogs: Yes, but would do best as a one and only

Good with Kids:Yes

Good with Cats: Unknown

Color: Black /Tan/Gray

FENCED YARD: Not required, but if you have one that would be a bonus.

Hi there, I’m Berg, a 1yr old 15 lbs, happy Terrier/Schnauzer mix pup! My foster-mom says I’m the greatest dog ever! My perfect fur-ever home is full of love, cuddles, and treats. I love to be around my humans, following them around looking for love, cuddles, and treats. Like the Burg, this Berg is a foodie – be it a good kibble, a sturdy chew toy, or treats by the door or when I’ve been the goodest boy. I am potty and crate trained. I enjoy short leash walks around the block. I would do best in a home where “my” people are home more often than not. I have so much love that I would also prefer to be your one and only pup, as I want all the attention but…. If you have a submissive pup, I’m up for a meet and greet and see how we do. I am smart and curious. And did I mention I am still full of puppy energy? I am playful, agile, and strong. I’m very smart and treat focused so I’d love to find someone who has patience to train me to be the bestest boy (I’m mostly there to be honest). I’m FULL of puppy energy – but for the next month my activity needs to be limited. I was heartworm positive when I came to VIP Rescue from a rural shelter, but I have finished the treatment and feeling better every day. I’ll need to take it slow for a while, no long walks, jumping, or romping/zoomies in the yard until my “dog”ter tells us it’s ok. My VIP friends will explain everything in detail to you. I have a combo wire and hair coat, I do shed a little, but please know I will require grooming every so often, so keep this in mind when you are considering me for adoption. The cost can vary anywhere from $60.00 and up every 2-3 months. I am microchipped, current on my vaccines, I have been neutered and am on heart worm and flea prevention. Do you think I might be the guy for you? I sure hope so. If so, please submit an application with VipRescue.org. I can’t wait to meet you and dazzle you with my charm. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you are looking for a 100% certified bestest boy then you have found him. I’m Teddy, a 5 1/2 years old Cairn Terrier mix boy. I love short walks and do great on a leash. I need to lose a few pounds so walks are really important for me, but we’ll have to start slow cuz’ I have “wittle” legs! I get along great with my foster sister and have befriended a few pups in the neighborhood on my walks. I may do best with one other chill sibling or be your one and only. Bonus if you are home most of the day because I love to be with my people. I love to hang out on the couch with my foster parents and belly rubs are my favorite. I’m just a pretty chill little guy. Once I know I’m safe with you then I’m stuck to you like glue. I’m house trained as long as you let me out regularly and I’m really a pretty easy going guy to have around and I promise to love you with all my heart ??. The “dog”ter that checked me out when I got here said I definitely need to “lose a few” to be the healthiest boy! My foster family can tell you how we’re doing that with a thing called a “diet”. Hmmmm…..never heard THAT word before! lol

Anywho, I’m neutered, micro chipped, current with vaccines, had a dental and am on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. So, whatya think? Wanna meet me? Please go to www.viprescue.org and fill out an application, k? Don’t forget to put my name on it, Teddy! Hope to meet you soon.

Tater / Redington Beach

Tater / Redington Beach AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!! viprescue.org

DOG NAME: Tater / Redington Beach DOB: 9-15-23 DOG BREED: Jack Russell mix DOG WEIGHT: 17 lbs currently – estimated adult weight 25-30 GENDER: Male HOUSE TRAINED: yes, as long as he is let out often LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes, 8+ COLOR: White and tan FENCED YARD: not required, recommended

Happy, happy, happy that’s how we’d describe this great boy! We would like to introduce you to Tater, a very active 5 mo old Jack Russell mix boy. He is currently 17 pounds, and estimated to be around 25 to 30 pounds give or take as an adult weight.

Tater is a very happy, busy and active puppy. Do you have a younger, active, playful dog Tater can play with? Are you an active family? Then he might be the cutie for you! Tater is great on leash walks, and is working on potty training and as long as he gets out enough, he’s a good boy with his house manners.(Remember, he’s still a puppy and can’t hold it that long yet!)

Tater is in the learning stages and all about learning to be a good boy, it’s recommended that he is placed in a home where he is not left alone for hours at a time since he’s still so young. Preference will be given to those homes that can meet his needs. He’s definitely not the couch potato type! He could be your one and only as long as you have an active life and he can be included with your activities. An active established pup in the home would help Tater burn off some of his puppy energy, and we think he’d really like that. Toys to play with, pups to play with, humans to play with, yup, that’s what he’s looking for! If you have a fenced yard he would love to do zoomies and explore. (Of course with supervision).

He is neutered, micro chipped, has age appropriate vaccines, and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

DOG WEIGHT: 15 lbs (currently, maybe 20-25 full grown)

GENDER: Male

LOCATION: Redington Beach FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes, playful

COOD WITH CATS; No

GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes older, 8+, respectful that can deal with puppy playful energy

COLOR: Chestnut and white

PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO

Sparkee is an adorable 6 month old 15 lbs Dachshund/Chihuahua mix puppy, (full grown could be 20-25lb). For sure, this little guy is ALL puppy! Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your family’s part to be the best pup he can be! He needs love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! His little bladder can’t hold it all day so please make sure you can commit to the puppy not being left alone for long periods of time. If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle!

He loves leash walks, he does get a little protective at first if we see other pups on the walk. He would love to have a human or 2 (or more) for his new family, he also would like to have a doggie or 2 either bigger or similar size, and young in his new home, just as long as they can play, play, play! If you don’t already have another pup in the home, that would be ok, but you MUST be very active as he is quite the energizer bunny when it comes to attention and playtime! If you have kids they should be at least 8+ we think that would be ok. He loves to snuggle after playing, and he still has his puppy teeth and needs toys that he can chew on, soft and hard, kong etc. He would need a single family home preferably with a secure fenced in yard so he can have a place to run and burn some of his puppy energy off. An active family that would take him places would be great also.

He is mostly house trained, but still being a puppy, he needs to get out often and of course he is going to need to get into a routine in his new home, but he is getting there! He is in a foster home with other pups and is learning quickly how to be a “good boy”.

Sparkee has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Might he be the guy for you? Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Love and tail wags!!!! Sparkee

GOOD WITH KIDS: older respectful, 10+ COLOR: Black, grey, tan

FENCED YARD: She would love one

PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO

I am the most adorable little pup you are going to see today, if I don’t say so myself!! I am a happy, adorable, 8lb 2 year old Yorkie mix. I’m one of those zippy, zoomie, toy playing, and it is all about me, girlly type, everyone that meets me falls in love with me. I do take a minute to trust, but when I do, look out cuz’ I want to show you it’s all about me and help you understand it is all about me, I will follow you around or let you carry me everywhere. You can take me on walks and I love car rides. You will fall in love with me when you look at my big beautiful eyes! I have a blankie that needs to go everywhere with us, cuz when I get nervous, I like to bunch it up and snuggle into it. I do love soft toys and am happy to throw them around and play. I LOVE sleeping in the human bed snuggled up with my blankie! I don’t like to be under the covers on the human bed, so I’ll just snuggle on top with my blankie.

I do need to be in an adult ONLY household with no small kiddos or grand kiddos, older respectful kids (10+) might be considered. I just don’t do well with small kids, k? I could be your one an only, If you have a similar size or smaller pup that is submissive nd playful, I would consider that too, but we would need to meet. See I like to be the boss and I will protect myself and be the bossy girly with more ferociousness than any 8 lb, girly should possess. In short no big dogs for me in my new home. I can also get sneaky and get on tables, counter surf or your desk (if you work from home) and try to steal food, I love food, so you gotta keep an eye on me and keep teaching me my manners!

I know my house manners as long as I get out often, I really don’t need a fenced yard as long as you take me out frequently for potty breaks. If you have a fenced yard that is a bonus, as I love being outside, I love to hang out in the sun and roll around in the grass. I don’t like to be chased by humans, I am fast and will run from you. The fenced yard would need to be very very secure due to my small size. I’ll also need to be groomed and brushed regularly or else I get all matted, so keep this in mind when you are considering me for adoption. The cost can vary anywhere from $60.00 and up every 2-3 months.

I’m looking for quieter adult “fur”ever home that has the time and patience for me, and one that’s home more often than not. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am on heartworm and flea prevention. So…..whatya think? Am I the lil’ girlie you’ve been looking for your whole life? My blankie is packed, I’m ready to start new adventures!!! Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application! Hope to meet you soon! Love and tail wags!!!!

OZZIE / OSTEEN, FL

ADOPT OZZIE Osteen, Florida. www.viprescue.org

DOB: 2 years old

BREED: Standard Poodle

DOG WEIGHT: 72 lbs

GENDER: Male

HOUSE TRAINED: Yes

LOCATION: Osteen, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes, he is pet friendly, however, we recommend your pets be his size or larger, and that your pup is a high energy pup that loves to play.

GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes, however due to his size, we recommend age 12+ and their weight be equal or more than his weight.

GOOD WITH CATS: No

COLOR: Sable Silver

FENCED YARD: 6+ foot privacy fence required with plenty of grassy area to run and play.

Ozzie is a vivacious young 2 yr old Standard Poodle. He is 72 lbs, a happy go lucky boy, eager to please you. He loves attention, and he will give big sloppy kisses in return. He has a handsome silver gray sable coat. He loves people, he has loads of energy, and is a busy boy. His Foster Mom says he is like a Bull in a China shop, and he is the Energizer Bunny. Ozzie is very affectionate, gives big sloppy kisses, and will velcro himself to you. As far as other dogs, he will run and play non-stop with them – he does not have an “off switch” that we have found. We are working on teaching him to settle. He does not have a mean bone in his body, but his full throttle play can be too much for other dogs and kids that do not share his like energy level and size. He is learning to fetch, but prefers chasing! Ozzie is all smiles, a very happy delightful boy, and you can’t help but fall in love with him. He is super smart, likes car rides, and is easy to train using kibble for his treats. Ozzie is in excellent health, he did have an ear infection we have been treating we believe is due to a food allergy. We have sent off for his allergy test and should have the results back soon so we know what to feed him that he is not sensitive to. He has some training; he knows NO, SIT, COME, and DOWN, but they need more work to be reliable. We require Ozzie’s new family to continue his obedience training after he is adopted. He loves to go on walks! He needs an experienced agile handler that is not intimidated by his size or energy level and that will continue his obedience training. He would be a great agility candidate and needs a job. He is inquisitive, and loves discovering new things inside and outside your home and is very nosey. He puts things in his mouth, he carries them around, and drops them. He loves to poodle poke you with his nose and is very interested in your food. He needs supervision to not get into the wrong things when inside the home. His new owner will need to help him channel his energy into something positive he loves such as dog sports and games he can engage in or jogging! He needs a minimum of a 6 foot privacy fence, and a decent sized yard to run and play at his new home. Ozzie is not a service dog candidate or an emotional support dog candidate, or a candidate with a home with small children. He requires frequent brushing, and monthly grooming. He will do fine with an experienced groomer. Ozzie would not be compatible if you have cats in the home. Ozzie is house trained, crate trained, and looking for a home where you are home most of the days/evenings. He will not do well in a home that crates 4-6-8-10 hours a day. Preference will be given to those with Standard Poodle experience. Ozzie is crated when he is left home alone or unsupervised in the home.

Ozzie is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He appears to be in perfect health. We adopt to Florida residents only. A home visit is a pre-requisite to be approved for adoption. Ozzie’s former owner had a change in their work, and could no longer care for him as they were gone for very long hours.

So…..whatcha’ think? Am I the big boy you’ve been looking for your whole life? Whatcha’ waiting for? My bags are packed, I’m ready to rollllllllll! Hope to meet you soon! Love and tail wags, Ozzie Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Hi there, I’m Captain Jack, (CJ for short) I’m a sweet, happy, 10 years young itty bitty guy weighing in at a whopping 5.9 lbs! I’m said to be Pomeranian mixed maybe some chihuahua????  Does it really matter? Cause, you know, I’m just THAT CUTE!  I might be the cutest thing you see today!!! I was adopted from VIP Rescue last year, but sadly, due to my humans compromised health, they wanted what was best for me, so I had to come back here to look for another family to love me as much as my previous one did.

I am always smiling, check out my photos attached. I look at my foster mom so lovingly (not in a I’m hungry feed me kind of way) but I do love food (and my foster Mommy more…shhhh…don’t tell her, k?

I love my walks, I might even prance a little when I walk. I’m quite happy to hang out on a doggy bed or cuddle up next to you on the couch or chair, I don’t take up much room so you might not even notice that I’m in your lap because I am so itty bitty small! I love sunning myself in the yard when it’s cool outside (with you right there with me of course).    I know to go outside to do my business.  I will come when you call with a happy prance, smile and tail wag. I will require regular brushing, baths and grooming. (see photos when I had long hair but I currently have a short cut which I REALLY like)  Please take into consideration the time and money it takes for my care to keep up with my handsomeness. I get along with my foster siblings, maybe too much for one of the girly dogs. Ha!  (She’s such a pretty little thing) but I really need to be your one and only, and I would love an active family, someone who will take me on sniffy walks (early morning or evening time when it’s not too hot out) and get me out for my business or to see all the neighbors. Don’t let my age fool you, I plan on hanging out for several more years.

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines, had a dental, am microchipped and current on my flea and heartworm prevention.

If you think you might be the family for me, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org

This breed typically lives 15-20 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

Hi there friends, it’s me, Reese! I’m an adorable 8lb, 10 year young (and VERY active) Papillion mix boy. I’m one of those zippy, zoomie type fellas, but, rest assured, you will fall in love with me! My previous life was a bit of the “ups and downs”, but now here at VIP Rescue, it’s all on the “up swing”! Foster Mom says I’m a good boy, but I’ll tell you what, once I get settled, it’s all about me! Yup, it’s my couch, my chair, my food, my lap, my bed, (well, our bed cuz’ I love sleeping in the human bed snuggled up with you!) and of course MY human. Ha! See what I mean! Because it’s “ all about me” , I’ll need to be your one and only in an adult only household with no kiddos or grand kiddos. I just don’t do well with them, k? I’m know my house manners, foster Mom takes me on sniffy walks every few hours I have learned to go potty outside. I really don’t need a fenced yard as long as you take me out frequently enough for potty breaks. I’ll also need to be groomed and brushed regularly or else I get all matted, and just so you know, I do shed a bit. I’m looking for quieter adult only “fur” home that has the time and patience for me, and one that’s home more often than not. I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, had a recent dental and am on heartworm and flea prevention.

So…..whatya think? Am I the lil’ boy you’ve been looking for your whole life? Whatya waiting for? My bags are packed, I’m ready to rollllllllll! Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application! Hope to meet you soon!
Love and tail wags, Reese

Hi Everyone, I’m Albert. I’m a very friendly Maltese mix who recently came to the fine folks at VIP Rescue. I’m looking for my “fur”ever home and invite you to take a look at me. I’m certain you’ll like what you see. Did I tell you I’m friendly? I love giving kisses and spending time with whomever is available.

I’m a handsome mix of white and tan, as you can see from my photos. I’m about 5 years old and weigh about 11 pounds, or so the “dog”tors tell me. I’m good with other dogs, similar size or smaller, prefer a playful small dog already established in the home, or consider adopting a 2nd pup, maybe one of our other adoptable pups that needs a playmate. We are not sure about cats, so if you have a cat and want to adopt me the cat should come to a meet & greet. Kids should not be an issue, although they need to be a bit older so they can play with me.

I’m working on my house training and getting better every day. It helps that my foster parents have a fenced yard, hopefully you will have one as well. I think I’d need to have a big yard if that’s possible, so this way we can play ball and I can run around and get lots of exercise to help wear me out. I can be very, very energetic at times.

I was just neutered and microchipped, a fresh dental, I’m current on my vaccines, and on heartworm and flea prevention as well. While at the “dog”tor I was also given a complete physical and found to be in good shape with no issues. Yeah!

If you would like to meet me! please complete an application online at VIPRescue.org. I hope to meet you soon!!

Bentley, Bentley, Bentley.  That’s me as cute as can be.     Hi friends, tis’ me, Bentley, an adorably handsome 13 year young, 13 pound ShihTzu mix.    I have the cutest underbite that just adds to my charm. My foster mom said it was love at first sight, even though I was smelly, my hair was overgrown and I can howl like a fire engine, if I’m left in a crate too long, (foster mom only heard this once) when she first met me, but hey, it was a long night on a transport, and the transport “peoples” were helping me land in a safe place, and that safe place is VIP Rescue.  Yep I am in the right place, and my new friends at VIP have promised to find me the perfect “fur”ever home. Woohoo!

I’m an easy going pooch, who loves soft doggie beds, leash walks and of course, yummy food!  I’d love it if my new family will take me for leash walks a couple times a day and then afterwards we can snuggle up on the couch and watch some T.V. while relaxing! Oh, don’t forget, I’ll need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks, so please keep that cost in mind if you’re interested in adopting me. Grooming can run anywhere from $ 60.00 and up each time. Do you think you could be my new family??? I would LOVE to be in my new “fur” ever home for the holidays, that would be “paw” some, don’t you think?

I am neutered, up to date with vaccinations, microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention, oh I also got a fresh dental and groom. My bags are packed and I’m ready to go!!!

Please submit an application to viprescue.org if you’re ready to offer me a loving “fur” ever home.

DOG NAME: Allie/ Redington Beach

DOB: 11/17/07

DOG BREED: Toy Poodle

DOG WEIGHT: 5 lbs

GENDER: Female

HOUSE TRAINED: no

LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes

GOOD WITH KIDS: unknown – 13+ respectful

COLOR: Grey

FENCED YARD: no

Hi there, I’m Allie, a 16yr old, 5 lbs, happy Toy Poodle girl, and Oh boy, did I hit the doggie jackpot when I found myself taken in by VIP Rescue! I am slowly getting comfortable and learning the lay of the land here, and I love to be around my foster mom and foster pup siblings. I do love slow leash walks, fluffy beds for naps and yummy food! This is great!

I recently had to have surgery on my eye’s due to a bad infection in one eye and a cataract in the other. I’m not sure how long I have been blind, but this is not new to me. When i was surrendered to VIP Rescue, they immediately took me to the “Dog”ter, and she thought that it would be best for me if both my eyes were removed, as I was in pain and it was definitely the healthier option for me. The Vet did some blood work and listened to my heart and it was decided I was healthy enough for the surgery. It has been a couple weeks now of healing and I am well on the road to recovery. Foster Mom said she can tell I feel SO much better! Those boo boo eyes were really hurting me. I have no trouble finding the water and food bowls and oh, those comfy beds! I know when it’s meal time and with my one tooth (yup, all my toofers but one are gone) I gobble my yummy food in no time. Foster Mom is the bestest cook ever! If you take me out frequently, I do my business outside, but to be honest, I do have accidents sometimes. It will take a bit for me to learn the way around my new furever home, and I am hoping in time I will find that perfect home to just chill in and enjoy my senior years.

I think I’d do best in an adult home, where someone is home more often than not. I love the company of my human, and I could be your one and only or I would be ok with a smaller pup already in the home. I love to hang outside, nap in the fresh air and snuggle up on your lap for a nap. I start to go in circles when I get excited, (especially at meal time!) or sometimes after a nap when I have to go potty. Grab the leash, and let’s go outside! Ha!

I’m an easy going girl who will require regular grooming so please keep that in mind if you’re thinking about adopting me. The regular schedule would be every 8 to 10 weeks with an approximate cost anywhere from $60-$90 per visit or maybe even more.

I am spayed, microchipped, current on my vaccines and am on heartworm and flea prevention along with being given a clean bill of health for a gal my age! Woohoo!

Do you think I might be the girl for you? Do you have lots of time to spend with a special little girl like me? If so, please submit an application with VipRescue.org

Hi there, I’m Lexi Latte, a 5yr old, 10 lbs, happy Schnauzer girl.

I hit the doggie jackpot when I found myself taken in by VIP Rescue and I am slowly getting comfortable and starting to come out of my shell.  I love to be around my foster mom and foster pup siblings.  I am learning what leash walks are and think I will get the hang of it pretty quick, but my foster mom feels a fenced yard is one of the things I will need in my furever home. I get along great with and play with the pups in my foster home, (they’re littles like me!) and I’m thinking I should have a similar sized  pup in my furever home too.

I’m learning to play with toys now and I’m really having some fun!  I think I’d do best in an Adult home, but if there are children in the home, say 13+, we would need a meet and greet to see how we would do. I love to get carried around and love to sit on your lap, to hang outside with you, nap in the fresh air, and would love for you to take me everywhere with you or let me snuggle up on your lap for a nap. Do you have alot of time to spend with me? Cuz’ that’s what I like, lottsa love and attention!

I came into VIP Rescue with some ear issues that are currently being treated and hopefully it will clear up soon and I only need this routine for a short time. Foster Mommy will explain that to you. I am crate trained, and I like to sleep in one at night, no need to shut the door I go in on my own.

I’m an easy going girl who will require regular grooming so please keep that in mind if you’re thinking about adopting me. The regular schedule would be every 8 to 10 weeks with an approximate cost anywhere from  $60-$90 per visit or maybe even more.

I am up-to-date with my vaccines, microchipped, I have been spayed, had a recent dental, and am on heart worm and flea prevention along with being given a clean bill of health (except the ear thing) Woohoo!

Dog Name: Gucci/Indian Rocks Beach

DOB: 08/01/2015

Breed: Lhasa Apso / ShihTzu Mix

Weight : 10 lbs

Gender: Female

House trained: Almost, As long as she is let out often

Location: Indian Rocks Beach

Gets along with cats: Unknown

Gets along with Dogs : Yes

Fenced yard: 5ft or taller fenced yard attached to home required.

Hi there, it’s me, Gucci! You might remember me from a few weeks back when I got here to VIP Rescue. I was originally sold to someone from a breeder, and then sold again, and then……somehow wound up at Animal Control! But….that’s all behind me now and I’d really like to share with you how well I’m doing and how I’m SOOOOO ready for my “fur”ever home.

I’m an 8 year old Llasa Apso gal who weighs just about 10lbs now. I’ve been living in this great place called a “foster” home with a foster Mom and a bunch of little cutie foster siblings. I have what is called a youthful, playful energy about me, I love having the freedom to explore, lizard hunt, sunbathe and watching nature in the fenced in yard here with you of course to supervise me while I’m out here. Oh yeah, my new home MUST have a fenced in yard so I can continue all these neat things life has to offer. “Mom” said I do pretty well on leash walks, while doing all the “sniffies”!

I’m affectionate, cuddly and loving and I do like to give kisses and gets pets, and I like to play with toys and really love all the cuddly doggie beds too!

I like most other puppers, Mom said sometimes I can be a bit dominant, but I don’t purposely seek out any trouble, so I’m thinking if you have a pup at home already, they should be the more submissive type, but of course we’d have to meet to make sure we’d be pals. Oh, don’t forget that I’ll need to be groomed regularly so you’ll need to work that into your budget, it can run anywhere from $60.00 and up each time, but, it’s a must do to keep me all clean and pretty!

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, had a dental and am on my monthly heartworm and flea prevention, so in other words, I’m ready to roll!

If you’re interested in me, please go to www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Sure hope to meet you soon! Licks and tail wags, Your friend, Gucci

Nellie has blossomed into the sweetest dog in this past week, once a shy, unsure pup, she now feels more safe and secure and is definitely wanting to be with her “human” much more. She follows her foster Mom around and has become her “shadow”. She loves the backyard, grass and the shaded patio area and has a youthful and playful personality.

Nellie has started playing with her toys and enjoys the company of her foster siblings as well as couch “snuggles” with foster Mom. She listens very well and is eager to please as well as being food motivated for training. She’s getting the hang of house breaking manners, and has started learning to “ring the bell” to go out with the other dogs for potty time! Nellie hasn’t quite mastered leash walking, she’s trying but has a ways to go, so she will require a fenced in yard in her new home. We still feel it’s best if Nellie goes to an adult only home where she can soak up all the love with her new family

Hello rescue world, my name is Nellie, I am thought to be a 5 year old Lhasa apaso mix, and all of 10lbs. I was found neglected and in horribly matted shape. The “people” that had me obviously didn’t take care of me and I ended up at animal control, and in a way, I guess that was a good thing because I got lucky and my photo was shared with VIP Rescue Director Betsy and before I knew it, Vip Rescue jumped into action and took me into their Rescue along with 3 other pups I came in with that were in as horrible condition as me. WHO DOES THAT TO AN ANIMAL? We certainly didn’t do anything to deserve to be “forgotten”. VIP showed us love, gave us food, they welcomed us…No questions asked. We were shaved down as our hair was so matted, there was no saving it and we had a bath.. wow what a difference a day makes. We were immediately taken on a trip to the “Dog”tor, and a plan and schedule was made… we found ourselves on the road to recovery and the start of our next chapter in our new life. After all that “Vet” stuff that I had done, I needed time to decompress and understand what LOVE really means. I now have a full belly, I’m learning leash walks, I enjoy rolling around in the grass in the backyard and my favorite is a warm bed. I love sleeping in the human bed. I get cuddles and pets and kisses. My second favorite thing is a warm lap to nap on so I can just relax. What do you think? Does it sound like you can offer me the same? I’m looking for a loving quieter Adult home that I can be the center of your attention. Patience is a little of what I’m looking for my in my “FUR”ever home.

I can promise this… if you love me?? I will love you even more! I’m a little awkward and learning how to play because I was so matted, my leg movement were restricted, but now I’m getting the hang of it! I get really excited when I get attention and sometimes I might look a little uncoordinated. In the last few days, I’ve learned how to play, and I’m a totally different girl than a few weeks ago when VIP Rescue took me in. THIS. Is what a good hearted human does, not like that “other” one.

If you can give me the time and patience, I’m going to be the best girl ever. I’m working on house manners, as I was never given the opportunity to understand this, but I’m a quick learner and in no time I’ll have it down pat. I could be your one and only or if you have a HaPpY friendly pup already at home I would love to meet them. I’ve been spayed, ( thank goodness, no more puppers for me!) had a fresh dental, updated vaccines, and am on my monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Please keep in mind I will need to be groomed on a regular basis so I don’t get tangled and matter ever again. If you don’t think you can work this into your budget ($60–$80 every 6-8 weeks or so) please visit our web site and choose a pup that doesn’t need grooming. Well now, if you think you just might be what I’m looking for, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an application. Don’t forget to put my name, Nellie on the app. Hope to meet you very soon!

GENDER: Male

HOUSE TRAINED: Almost, as long as he is let out often

LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes

COLOR: White

FENCED YARD: not required.

Hi there, I’m West, a 5yr old, 15 lbs,  happy Lhasa mix boy.

I’ve been with VIP Rescue for several weeks. You may have read about my story earlier on, because upon arrival I was in horrible shape, but a lot has happened and changed since I got here. I had to go right to the “dog”tor, because I had a very badly injured leg and the Vet thought it best to amputate it. But you know what? VIP Rescue got me all healthy again and gave me some much needed Vet care, love, and a safe place to lay my head at night. I really needed the last couple of weeks to rest and relax for my recuperation, and thanks to my “paw”some foster Mom, I’m now ready for my fur-ever home.   My surgery on my leg  has not hindered my ability to live and to LOVE. I love to play, eat, go on short leash walks, snuggles and ATTENTION. I’m learning house manners, if you get me out often, I do great.

I get along great with other dogs or I could be your one and only. I’m learning to play with toys now and I’m really having some fun! Since losing that leg is new to me, I can do a step or two but no more than that.  Maybe in time I could do more, but that seems to be the only thing I have a problem with at this time. In fact, I get around just fine and am enjoying all the great things my new life has to offer. I think I’d do best in an Adult home, and one that’s going to love me and give me lots of attention.

I’m an easy-going, fluffy boy that will require regular grooming. Please keep that in mind if you’re thinking about adopting me. The regular schedule would be every 8 to 10 weeks with an approximate cost anywhere from  $60-$90 per visit or maybe even more.

I am up-to-date with my vaccines, I have been neutered, had a recent dental, and am on heart worm and flea prevention along with being given a clean bill of health! Woohoo! Do you think I might be the guy for you? If so, please submit an application with VipRescue.org

Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue.

Hi everyone, I’m Bonnie, a 9.5 year old 15 lbs Shih tzu girl. I am house trained, but If I’m left too long without an outside break I do know how to use tinkle pads.

Belle / Redington Beach

Belle / Redington Beach AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!! viprescue.org

DOG NAME: Belle / Redington Beach DOB: 10/5/10 DOG BREED: ShihTzu mix DOG WEIGHT: 11 lbs GENDER: Female HOUSE TRAINED: yes LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes GOOD WITH KIDS: yes, 14+, but prefer adult only home COLOR: Tan and white

Do you have the time, patience and love for a few years to give me the best life I deserve? We’ve all read the sad stories. We’ve all seen the sad eyes. We’ve all seen the photos. Help me be one of the lucky ones, well I already am… since VIP Rescue Director and foster Mom Miss Betsy welcomed me in with open arms. I’m not just one of those stories, I have a name, it’s Belle, and I matter!

I’m a sweet senior gal that was surrendered to a rural shelter with the request to euthanize. ??. They said I had been attacked by an animal and they could not afford the care I needed. The shelter agreed to take me in, but would not euthanize me. Instead, they reached far and wide with a rescue plea, asking if any rescue had space to take me in and get me the medical attention I needed.

Thanks to my new VIP Rescue family, I’m on the road to recovery and every day is a new day, less pain, and more comfort for me. I have lost my sight, and I’ve lost my hearing and I have a burn wound (unknown origin, possibly a chemical burn) on my back that is healing well and my hair is growing back nicely. Through all of this, I haven’t lost my will to live, thanks to my “paw”some foster Mommy taking such good care of me!

I’m smart and I can learn the lay of the land in a short period of time. I enjoy food and sleeping on the soft beds in my foster home..bonus I am potty trained! I just need to be guided on the route needed to get outside so I can do my business. I will learn it in no time and I do let you know when I have to go..

I can have a step or two to get in and out of the home, so I don’t need a fenced yard but a secure location that I can do my business would be helpful. My foster mom can tell you some solutions if you don’t have a fenced yard. I am not too keen on the leash. I prefer to go at my own pace when I’m smelling all the neat smells outside.

I’ve had a recent dental and some lumpy bumps removed. I’m spayed up-to-date on my vaccines, microchipped and am current on my monthly heartworm and flea preventatives.

A note from foster Mom: This sweet girl needs a patient home to live out the rest of her days. It’s unimaginable that somebody could let her get in the condition she has found herself in. One day at a time, and Belle deserves the best.

All she’s looking for is patience, love, and a warm lap to curl up on. Is that you? Are you the home for her? An adult only home with someone who is home more often than not is preferred.

Please submit an application with VIPRescue.org if you can offer this sweet girl the best loving home.

Lily / Largo

Lily/Largo Available for adoption!! viprescue.org

DOG NAME: Lily DOB:  7/11/2018 DOG BREED: Chihuahua mix GENDER:  Female HOUSE TRAINED:  Yes LOCATION:  Largo GOOD WITH KIDS: 12+ respectful GOOD WITH DOGS: some, no big dogs. *could be your one and only *If you have a current pup a meet and greet with pup will be required. GOOD WITH CATS: unknown COLOR: Cream FENCED YARD: Secure fenced yard required.

Hello everyone!  My name is Lily (AKA wiggle butt) because I am so happy to see you, even if I've seen you all day!!!  Are you looking for a new best friend?  I am a 7 lb, 5 yo chihuahua mix gal who loves snuggles, laps, kisses and more snuggles! Your lap or your arms are my favorite place to be as I will follow you everywhere. I will go outside to do my business, but you have to come with me because it’s a scary world out there and I’m a scaredy cat (um…dog). My mom takes me for walks with the other dogs here, but I haven't figured out if I'm a fan of the whole experience, I just don't understand this leash business. In the last week I've been venturing out to sniff with the other dogs, but then I run right back to moms feet. It’s going to take a while for me to get totally comfortable in a new place. I do like to explore the backyard, but I like to check in constantly to make sure mom is watching.  A fenced yard is required. I don't mind being in a crate for short periods of time, and my mom leaves us free and I'm good with that too.  I wouldn't like it if you left me alone for long periods of time, I’m just not the kind of doggie who likes to be alone much, I want to be with you as much as I can. I really need to be in a home where someone is home more often than not, k? A fenced yard is required.

I came from a place with lots and lots of dogs.  I get very scared when new dogs come near me, and for the first few days I was here, my mom had to feed me on the counter away from everybody because I was too afraid to eat.  If any of the other dogs came near me, I would abandon my bowl. I think that’s because of where I came from, huh?My mom can put my bowl on the floor now, but stands near me so I'm comfortable.  I think I would love to be your one and only, but If you already have a really low key dog, that may be ok; as long as you give me time to warm up to them.  I'm not good with new experiences, but once I'm comfortable you'll see my real personality come out.  If you have other dogs, similar size to me is best.

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention too! Maybe you wanna meet me? You can go to www.viprescue.org to fill out and adoption application and make sure to put my name on it. I sure hope my “fur” ever family is out there just waiting for a cutie like me!
