Hi my name is Dottie….I am an adult female Bichon and weigh about 15lbs and thought to be about 8 years old.  I have been taken care of all my life until recently – when hard times fell upon my family.  The good people at VIP Rescue got me the vet care I needed, I got a new hairdo, some great food, and am ready to find a Forever Home.  I would do best in a home where I am the only dog.  My teeth are freshly cleaned.I am microchipped,  I am house trained, spayed, and current on vaccinations. Pretzel is an 8 month old Cafe’Latte’   Toy Poodle…. Awesome dog!  He is almost 8lbs,. He loves to lay in your lap and he is such a doll!   Pretzel is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. Although he loves to be held and cuddled, he is a playful pup and likes his toys!! He is still a  puppy and we are working on house-training, and leash-training. He does well with a crate! He is a quick learner and is adapting rather quickly. Pretzel is up-to-date on shots, flea & heartworm preventative. He is also friendly with other dogs and he is micro-chipped!  Pretzel is fostered in the Orlando area.

Meet Texas!  He is a white Bichon, guessed to be about 6-7 years old and 15 lbs.  By his picture you can tell he likes his kibble.  Reducing his daily intake by 1/2 will surely help him to drop some of his excess belly.  He is playful and VERY loving.  He will have his teeth cleaned Thurs (5/17) and be ready to go to his new home.  He is housetrained and sleeps on the floor beside my bed.  He is good with other dogs and my cat.  I haven’t found a toy or ball that he enjoys playing with, just loves being cuddled full time.   Texas answers to his name and has been groomed to be a handsome fellow. Texas is fostered in Orlando.

Meet Tyson!  The type of terrier will have to be determined, but if any of the baby boomers out there remember the movie “Shaggy Dog” with Fred MacMurray, he reminds me of the shaggy dog.  He is a good boy who will be neutered (Thurs 5/17).  He does need a lot of obedience work as well as just basic manners.  He will be two years old June 28 and was born in the country of Honduras. He weighs about 25 lbs.  He was adopted at the age of 1 month and hand fed till he was old enough to figure it all out.  His energy level is high and he would be great with a family with active children.  There is not a mean bone in his body.  He will be a shedding dog.  He was told to me to understand both English and Spanish, but I haven’t had him respond to anything but his name when called.  He was brought to the US last fall (2011) with his senior owner (age74) who just cannot handle his energy and therefore determined it is best to find him a more suitable home.  Since arriving in the US his home has consisted of living on the back porch of a home where neighbors complained because he barked all night.  He does seem to be housetrained (with exception to the first smell marking).  He definitely needs a large fenced yard to run around.  BUT he does play with a soccer ball with the young man who also lives in the home.  He fetches a tennis ball, but doesn’t always return it.  Tyson is fostered in Orlando.

Peggy Sue is the latest gal to want a “furever” home through VIP Rescue.  She is roughly 3 years old, 26lbs, housetrained, UTD on vaccines, heartworm negative, and just the sweetest personality there ever could be.  She is so thankful that she doesn’t have to hunt for her dinner any longer.  She was found as a stray but she loves to be touched and caressed.  Although she has only been in foster one nite, she seems to be most adoptable and a loving furbaby.  Let’s do our best to find her the bestest home possible.  Peggy Sue is fostered in the Orlando area.

Meet Gabriel! Gabriel is male poodle who is thought to be 6-8 years old. Gabriel was rescued from a puppy mill and is sometimes shy or weary of humans, but loves other dogs! He would do well in a home with another well trained dog to teach him about the good life. Gabriel also likes to hang out in your lap and relax. Gabriel is a gentle little pup and loves curling up in his plush bed. We are working on house-training and leash-training. Every day he gets better and better walking on the leash. However, he does love to romp around, and he would probably thrive in a home with a fenced backyard. Gabriel is up to date on vaccines, heartworm and flea preventative.

Hi my name is Pistol – a Male Bichon about 4 years old. I was rescued by VIP from a puppy mill and lived in some really loud cage place. No more that life for me. I am currently being treated for Heartworms, getting neutered and all my vaccines. I am fostered in Orlando. Pistol is doing fantastic with other dogs. He is enjoying the big, grassy yard. His tail is now wagging high instead of tucked between his legs. He is still very “human shy” and that is going to take some time but he has eaten out of my hand (a BIG accomplishment) and will come close to me when I call him (as long as I am low to the ground). He will follow me like a shadow until I turn around to face him. Pistol is going to make a wonderful addition to just the right family. Please help the people who helped Pistol– VIP RESCUE foster care is the best ever place I have been to so far!

Meet Dapple!  He is one of our puppy mill fosters.   Dapple is a 4 year old latte’ standard poodle. He is underweight at 43 lbs and gaining.  He is people shy, and clueless about a collar and leash. He is coming around on trusting humans and learning that people are good!  He is current on his shots, neutered, and heartworm negative.   He is fostered in Clearwater.  Puppy mill dogs frequently require a lot of time to appreciate human touch. Dapple prefers to go to a home with no small dogs. Dapple will require a fenced yard.
