We’d like you to meet Bynx, can you believe that little face? So cute, right? We are in love with this mighty little fireball. Bynx is a healthy and happy 3.5 month old puppy who weighs in at a whopping 5.5 lbs.!!!! We think her adult weight could be 15-40 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight at all, she was surrendered with no information on parentage. She is a very smart little girlie, learning new things everyday. She knows how to navigate puppy stairs to get on the sofa and out to the back yard down 3 steps for play and work on potty training. She is a busy smiley feisty girl. She lovvvvees teething toys, soft toys, and when left unattended human shoes! (typical puppy, right?)

Bynx loves to play with the other pups in her foster home. She would love another dog in her home to play with and bully around with. She is trying to be the Alpha and has a spicy fiesty personality, and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things so you’ll need a watchful eye. She picks up anything and everything that is in front of her, so she will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything she wants to put in her mouth while outside. After playtime, she will settle down in a soft puppy bed or a warm lap to relax on. Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, especially in potty training. (She has been working on pee pad training), her tiny bladder can not hold it for several hours, she will need patience while she is learning potty training. Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for her safety. She will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure she doesn’t get into things she is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference.

Bynx came to us with a medical condition and was surrendered from a breeder as unsuitable for sale. She had an underdeveloped rectum. Our vet took her in right away and operated on her to alleviate this issue. She has been recovering in her medical foster home and she is doing fabulous. Potty training will take a little longer than anticipated as with any typical puppy, but especially since her surgery.

Bynx would love a family that will continue to show her all the good things that life has to offer. Since she is currently so small, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be at least 12+ and small dog experienced. A adult only home will be given preference. She is fast and so small she can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. She will need to be in a home where her people are agile and very alert to keep an eye out for her. She is looking for a home with another similar size dog for her to play with and learn from.

Bynx has been spayed, is current on her age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on her heartworm prevention and flea prevention.

This absolutely adorable 2 year old mini Dachshund gal is Rae! Her name fits her personality perfectly, a”Rae” of sunshine!

This charmer is very affectionate and loving, who loves being with her human as much as possible. She enjoys sitting on your lap, giving lots of doggie kisses, and is passionate about getting and giving attention, as she has a gentle demeanor. Rae loves exploring the great outdoors w her foster siblings and her foster Mom being out with her at all times in the fenced yard. She’s taken up the role of assistant gardener, always watching what’s going on, as she stretches her head and puts her nose way up in the air to smell all the scents of nature. She’s pretty much housebroken as long as she gets out enough, she’s good on a leash and enjoys her daily walks.

She does love to sleep in the human bed, and does well getting up and down the doggie stairs for access to the bed, chairs and couches. It’s very important that she’s NOT allowed to jump from furniture as not to cause issues with her back. (It’s a doxie trait and this “rule” must be followed)

She does enjoy playing with her foster siblings, chasing, lizard hunting and group sunbathing! Ha! We were told she gets along with kids (at least 10+) and lived with a cat in her previous home.

She’d make a wonderful dog for a young active family as she’s loves her “walkies” to do her “sniffies” and if you have another dog in the family, (or a kitty who has been exposed to dogs already) she’d really like that, if not, she’ll need her humans to keep her occupied with proper exercise.

Rae is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her previous owner had her shaved down except for her tail and ears, so before you know it her gorgeous long haired coat will grow back into that golden/red color.

Think she might be the gal for your active family? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Who is ready??  Marley is ready!!!  Are you ready for Marley??

This beautiful little stud muffin is looking for a furever home.  He is thought to be around 5 years old and weighs almost 9 pounds.  We were told he is a Yorkie / Pomeranian mix.  He’s not a hypoallergenic dog, he does shed and will also need to be groomed about every 6 – 8 weeks so please keep that in mind with your budget! He was surrendered to us from a back yard breeder, and his stud days are now over and he is looking forward to the good life of rest, relaxation and to learn what being a family dog is all about. ❤️🐾

Marley can be a bit shy at first meet, but when he knows he is safe he will seek attention.  He hasn’t met a human that he doesn’t like and a lap that he doesn’t accept.

He’s learning leash walking and working on house manners.  He is a quick study and learning new things every day with the foster dogs in his foster home. He’s a little nervous around other dogs, but very curious, so a slow introduction will be needed if you have other pets in your home.

A few more things we have learned about Marley is he loves to sleep in the human bed as well as make himself comfortable on the human couch for naps and activity surveillance. He does not appear to know what dogs beds are for and he watches the other dogs in the foster home with curiosity when they play with toys, but so far has not played with the dogs or the toys.

The ideal home would be a quiet adult home with humans that are home more often than not.  If you have a dog at home, similar size and age, an adult to senior calm dog would be best or he could be your one and only. Loud noises and fast moves by human or another dog startle him. If you have children at home, they should be at least 12+ and understand the needs of Marley. An adult only home will be given preference.

We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Marley has been brought current with his vaccinations, neutered, Yeah! microchipped and received a much needed dental and is also on monthly flea and heartworm prevention.

When considering adoption, please keep in mind that he will need to be groomed, the estimated costs are $60 to $100 per groom every 6-8 weeks

Do you have an open lap? Do you have the patience for him to adjust to new surroundings? Do you think this is the Pup for you? If so, please visit our website viprescue.org to submit an application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and numbers for each vet. **Please read entire bio**

Tilly is a very sweet 4 yr old Maltese mix sweetie who happens to be a real clinger, as she does not let her foster mom out of her sight! She is quick to get in or through any doorway when foster mom moves about the home. Yup, go in the kitchen, Tilly is already there waiting, go to the living room, she’s right there, to the bathroom yep she is right there with a very watchful eye. She is not being left out or left behind ever again. (Please read her original post a little further down our page.)

Get close to the leash she is a wiggle butt, food bowls out, more wiggle butt. For her safety, she is crated only when foster mom needs to run an errand or leave the house for a short time. Tilly settles into her crate, so she wont try to follow foster mom out of the house. Holy moly, when foster mom comes home, there’s wiggle butt Tilly, all dancy, spinny, happy girl to see her human home. She is looking for a home where the human(s) are home more often than not, a work from home or retired family would be best for her, and of course you’ll have to give up any of your private space with Ms. Tilly around! 😂

Tilly is potty trained as long as she is let out often. She is great on the leash and enjoys walks, and loves it in the fenced in yard as long as there is a human there with her as well. If you don’t go out with her, she will do her business where you are, so there’s that…hmmmm best to go out with her then, right? 🤷‍♀️🤗

She is good with the other dogs in the foster home, as long as she is the lead/alpha, she is being exposed to puppies and small dogs and is happy to watch them and is now starting to engage with them. Her favorite is to play with a puppy. We would love to see her new home with a doggy friend who is submissive and friendly of similar age or younger and size to play with, or maybe consider adopting her with Keller (see separate bio), She engages with him the most. And toys, oh yes, toys are great fun, we were told she plays with toys and then dismantles them, they get repaired and then she dismantles them again, What fun right????

Tilly does express herself with her voice on walks and well as home and can get barky sometimes, She wants everyone to notice her and say hi, so due to this she will require a single family home, no condos, apartments, townhouse or any home with shared walls. Thank you for understanding, as this is what’s best for her. She is the lead dog on the walks and will try to correct the other pups should they try to be the lead pup.

She LOVES to sleep in her humans bed, or will sleep in her crate. She will help turn the cover down for you and fluff them up while she waits for the human to join her, then when her human gets in bed she tries to snuggle as close as she can get, next to you or at least having a paw touch you. We are working on her not being on top of her human, she needs to be able to breathe! 😂 Who can blame her after being left to fend for herself for several months, she deserves a cuddle buddy. 🐾❤️

Tiilly is spayed, current on her vaccinations, microchipped and current with flea and heartworm prevention.

She will require grooming every 4-6 weeks, and grooming can run anywhere from $60.00-$120.00 per visit, so keep that in mind with your budget too! She did great with grooming, she was not a fan of a bath, but made it through without too much drama and splashing around. 😬

Does this sound like the girly for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Well hi there, it’s me, Willow! I’m having a great time in my foster home, but ya know what? I really really would love a home of mine own. Let me tell you a bit about me, cuz’ you’re gonna fall in love, I just know it!

I’m a 3 year old Standard Poodle, weighing in at about 50lbs, ( I’ve got a gorgeous figure if I don’t say so myself.) lol. ok, so here’s the deal… I get along with dogs similar in size, or even a tad smaller, cats are a no no because they are just to small, and I might chase them around. Good grief I don’t want to get swatted with their nails, right? 2 legged kiddos? They’re ok by me, as long as they’re at least 10 years old, respectful and love to play play play just like me! Yup, I’m quite the active girl.

When I first meet people, I can be a little skittish so you’ll need to go slow and have patience with me while I learn that all you 2 legged humans are ok. I definitely need a very active family, one who likes to take long walks a couple of times a day, or maybe if you need a running partner if you go running, yup, that’s my style…Woohoo! Zoomies around the yard? Heck yeah! I’d absolutely LOVE that! Anything that involves activity, I’m your girl.

My new home must be a single family home with a 6ft secured fenced yard attached to the home. I’m not the type who will do well in an apartment or condo at all. I need my “space” k?

My new family will also need to continue with my training, although I’m a young adult, I didn’t have much training before coming to this great Rescue, but Foster Mom has been teaching me all the ropes, I know sit, stay, come, fetch, you just have to continue so that I can be the bestest girl ever cause’ I’m as smart as a whip and have tons of potential.

I am Spayed, microchipped, current on my vaccinations and get my monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Oh, one more thing I gotta tell ya, grooming… yup…. I’ll need regular grooming which can be costly, to keep me looking like the princess that I am, so please factor that into your budget.

So, whatya think? Am I the gal for you? I sure hope so! You can go to www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application and then if we’re a match, we’ll figure out when we can meet, sound like a plan?
Ok, gotta go, time for a snack and then “quiet time” before bed. See ya soon!

Love and LOTS of tail wags, Willow xoxoxo

Little Christopher is back with us again, through no fault of his own! IF you are interested in him, you MUST have prior experience with bringing a puppy into your home, as well as patience while they go through the “separation “ phase” of not being with their littermates. Yes, they will cry at night for a few nights, maybe longer. They just don’t understand why their little world is a bit upside down and where did their littermates go? Secure fenced yard attached to home required. An established pup already in home required. They DON’T understand, but YOU MUST. There will be absolutely NO exceptions to this. Please don’t apply if you can’t commit to the time and patience or have previous puppy experience..

Hello friends! We’d like you to meet Keller, an amazing 5 month old Cavapoo mix. So cute, right? We are totally smitten with this little active fluffy whirlwind of a puppy! He’s a happy and healthy little boy that weighs… are you ready? 10.4 lbs!!!! With that being said, we think his adult weight could be 25-35 lbs, but please note this is not a guarantee of weight, because he’s not telling us who his parents are!

He is a very smart little boy, he’s learning new things everyday, he knows how to navigate puppy stairs to get on the sofa and out to the yard for play and work on potty training. He is a busy happy guy. He lovvvvees teething toys, soft toys, and when left unattended um…..just about anything! ! (typical puppy, right?)

We have learned that Keller is deaf, but don’t let that scare you, as he is very smart. He loves to play with the other pups in his foster home as well as plays on his own. He requires another dog in his home to play with in his furever home, a young or younger adult dog he can wrestling with, chase around, most likely tackle, and all around buddy he can learn from. He will need a home that has the time to dedicate to him as any puppy should, and of course like any puppy, he likes to chew on things. He picks up anything and everything that is in front of him, so he will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything he wants to put in his mouth while outside. After playtime, he will settle down in a puppy bed or on your lap to chill. ( not for long though!) Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, especially in potty training as his tiny bladder cannot hold it for several hours. Also, don’t forget, you’ll need to puppy proof your home for his safety. He requires a home with very watchful eyes to make sure he doesn’t get into things he is not supposed to. He will also need time and patience to learn about his surroundings in his new home due to his hearing issue, but once he knows the lay of the land, watch out cuz’ here he comes! Lol… He does requires a single family home, no condos or apartments, as he loves to “ talk”, yup, he’s quite the barker! He’d best be suited for a work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day as they will be given preference. A secure fenced yard attached to your home is REQUIRED.

Keller has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm and flea prevention. Please note, he will require regular grooming which can run anywhere from $60.00-$120.00 per visit, so keep that in mind with your budget too!

Sound like the guy for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Keller can’t wait to meet his new family!

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. Having a Deaf dog,

This is one article we googled.
https://www.smalldoorvet.com/learning-center/medical/deaf-dogs

The highlights are:
-You’ll have to be your dog’s ears. You should never let your deaf dog off-leash in an area that’s unsecured. Enclosed dog parks and dog runs are great tools for socializing deaf dogs in a safe space.
-They may not understand certain concepts and dangers that hearing dogs do. For example, your deaf dog can’t hear cars or honking, so aren’t able to use these scary sounds to act accordingly.
-Deaf dogs can get startled easily. Wake them up gently and give warning signs before sneaking up on them. Tap your foot to get their attention and use their other senses to your advantage. There is a myth that deaf dogs may be more aggressive as they can be scared more easily, but this isn’t true.
-They do bark! There is a common misconception that deaf dogs don’t bark, but they can bark just as much as hearing dogs. They may also bark in various situations where a hearing dog would not bark.
-Each dog is unique, deaf or hearing. Deaf dogs aren’t more expensive to care for than hearing dogs, and the costs and care will be specific to your own dog.

PLEASE do your research and understand the potential needs of this boy, before you apply.

A few days ago we told about 2 sweet girls who were abandoned by their family and left behind when their “humans” moved out of their home and just left them there to fend for themselves. We also told you that they needed to decompress, go to the “dog”tor, and just chill out for a few days. “Miss”Hannah is a 10 year old 13lb Maltese mix gal, while “Miss” Nelle, is an 8 yr old 10lb. terrier mix. Both of these sweeties have been through a lot recently, and are now in search of a loving “fur”ever home together. Yes, together, because these girls are totally bonded.

They both had a delightful bubble bath, groomed, as they were infested with fleas and very matted, then had some playtime and then off to the “dog”tor for their spay, dentals ( poor Hannah had 11 teeth extracted 😞) and brought up to date with their vaccines. It was also discovered that Hannah had an ear infection, and a small hernia which was taken care of during her spay.

With all that behind them now, they are looking for their new family where they would be the only pups in the house. Are you an empty nester? maybe retired? maybe work from home?  Adult only home? Are you active and would love to play with them in the yard, and will take them on walks?  Do you have the love and patience to offer these two a great home? They have a bit of separation anxiety, and are working real hard on house training, and doing great! They’re in a loving foster home that is teaching them all the good things life has to offer. They love going out into the fenced yard to soak up some sun and play a bit. They also follow their foster mom everywhere! As we said, both girls are now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, had dentals, and are on their heartworm and flea prevention.

So, if you’re up for cuddles, and can offer these girls a safe and secure home, exercise them (fenced yard preferred, but not necessary as long as you go on several daily walks with them) then you just might be what they’re looking for! Need a single family home, sorry no apartments or condos.

Nicholas / Redington Beach

Available for adoption

Breed: ShihTzu mix

Age:  4 mo DOB 10-22-25

Sex: Male

Weight: 6.2. lb currently (Feb-17-26)- for an adult weight, could be 15-25 lbs *no guarantee, we don’t know the size of mom or dad.

Color: Brown and White

DOGS: Yes he gets along great with similar sized pups, required to have established pup in home
Kids: Respectful 10+ with dog experience

Fenced Yard: Secure fenced yard required

** PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO**

IF you are interested in him, you MUST have prior experience with bringing a puppy into your home, as well as patience while they go through the “separation “ phase” of not being with their littermates. Yes, they will cry at night for a few nights, maybe longer. They just don’t understand why their little world is a bit upside down and where did their littermates go? Secure fenced yard attached to home required. An established pup already in home required. They DON’T understand, but YOU MUST. There will be absolutely NO exceptions to this. Please don’t apply if you can’t commit to the time and patience or have previous puppy experience..

We’d like you to meet another cutie pie, this little fluff ball is Nicholas! He’s a 4 month old Shih Tzu mix, who weighs all of 6.2 lbs, adorable, right? We’re guessing he could be 18-25lbs when full grown, but that’s is not a guarantee because he was surrendered with hardly any info. Nicholas loves to play with the fur siblings in his foster home, but he is quite content to just hang low and maybe sit on your lap to take a snooze 😴. He’s full of himself, loves to go outside and “explore” all the neat things out there, and won’t hesitate to pick up just about anything and put it in that tiny mouth of his!

Soooo typical of puppy behavior, so his new family will have to supervise outside time so he doesn’t get into any mischief. He does love puppy appropriate chew toys, and don’t forget you’ll need to “puppy proof” your home for his safety or you might just find those brand new shoes in pieces if he’s not watched carefully! Also, since he is so young, you’ll need to work with him on potty training, as his little bladder can’t hold it for more than a few hours.

Puppies require ALOT of time, patience and training, so you must be dedicated and have the time for that so that he grows up to be the bestest boy ever! Preference will be given to a work from home family or one who’s only gone a few hours a day. His new family should be agile and very alert since he’s so small he can get underfoot easily, and if there are kids in the home, we recommend they be 10+ due to his tiny size. Nicholas has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm and flea prevention. Please note, he will require regular grooming which can run anywhere form $60.00-$120.00 per visit, so keep that in mind with your budget too!

We’d like you to meet Gingerbread! Can you believe that little face? So cute, right? We are in love with this mighty little fireball. Gingerbread is a healthy and happy 4 month old little boy who weighs in at a whopping 7 lbs.!!!! We think his adult weight could be 20-50 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight at all, he was a surrender with no information on parentage. He is a very smart little boy, learning new things everyday, he knows how to navigate puppy stairs to get on the sofa and out to the back yard down 3 steps for play and to work on potty training. He is a busy smiley guy. He lovvvvees teething toys, soft toys, and when left unattended human shoes! (typical puppy, right?)

Gingerbread loves to play with the other pups in his foster home as well as plays on his own. He requires another dog in his home to play with, he needs a home that has time to dedicate to him, and of course, like any puppy, he likes to chew on things so you’ll need a watchful eye. He picks up anything and everything that is in front of him, so he will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything he wants to put in his mouth while outside. After playtime, he will settle down in a soft puppy bed or lap to relax. Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, his tiny bladder cannot hold it for several hours, so he will need patience while he is learning potty training. Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for his safety. He will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure he doesn’t get into things he is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference.

Gingerbread would love a family that will continue to show him all the good things that life has to offer. Since he is currently so small, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 8+ and small dog experienced. He is fast and so small he can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. He will need to be in a home where his people are agile and very alert to keep an eye out for him. He is looking for a home with another similar sized dog for him to play with and learn from.

Gingerbread has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm and flea prevention. Also note, this little doll will require regular grooming which can average anywhere from $60.00-$120.00 per visit, so you’ll need to figure that into your budget as well.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Breed: Papillon Mix

Age:  7 yr young

Sex: Male

Weight: 16 lb (needs to lose some)

Color: White/Black

Gets along with dogs:  yes – Prefers to be your one love

Gets along with Cats: Unknown

Kids: Adult only home

Are you looking for a chill guy who loves short walks, hanging out in the yard or in front of the TV with you? Then you absolutely need to meet 7 year old Oreo! Another cutie Ms. Betsy saw when she was at Animal Services picking up Macy. Oreo’s family could no longer care for him, so they surrendered him so he could find another home. Well, little Oreo hit the jackpot because he came into our rescue!

This little boy had a lumpy bump on his tummy, and a cherry eye. Both have been taken care of by our “dog” ter, He does have an ulcer in one of his eyes which will require daily eye drops that are not expensive, and this good boy takes his drops like a champ! Oreo literally races to the couch so he can get the primo snuggle spot pressed up against foster Moms leg. When it’s time for nite nite, he races over and jumps into foster mom’s arms so she can put him in his bed. He’s not into the dog type of bed, he’s definitely a people bed kind of pup! Ha! In the morning, he will go out to do his business, then come in for a snuggle on your lap while you have your coffee. He adores food, but needs to lose a few pounds and is now on a healthy diet. Though he would love to spend all day with you, he understands you have to go out sometimes, he will gladly nap on the couch til you get home, but watch out! He turns into a fanboy like at Comic-Con and you are his favorite character! There is no possible way anyone could be any happier than Oreo when you get home. Doesn’t everyone want their very own fan club? Then Oreo is the boy for you! Oreo would prefer an adult only home where he will be your only “child”, he gets along with other dogs, but does prefer to be your one and only.

Please keep in mind he will need to be groomed every 8-10 weeks and that can run anywhere from $60.00 ~$120.00 per visit, so you’ll need to prepare for that in your budget. Oreo is fully vetted, he’s been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, had a dental and is on his heartworm and flea prevention. How about it, does he sound like your dream doggie? He sure hopes so. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for this amazing boy!

Age:  9 yr young

Sex: Female

Weight: 9 lb

Color: White/Black

Gets along with dogs:  yes

Gets along with Cats: Unknown

Kids: Older, but prefers an adult only home

Hey hey hey, who do we have here? Why it’s me, lil’ ol’ Macy girl! I’m the sweetest, cutest, littlest 9 yr young Shih Tzu mix gal you’re eva gonna meet! A few weeks ago, a Good Samaritan found me hurt, thinking I’d been hit by a car and brought me to VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group) to get checked out. I had a boo boo on my belly and was favoring my right rear leg. After a thorough exam and X-rays by the “Dog” ter, there were no broken bones and no obvious internal injuries. Once VEG gave me the “all clear”, I was transferred to Animal Services to be placed on a stray hold to give my family time to come find me. Sadly, no family came for me. I was so sad 😢. Then one day this nice lady named “Miss Betsy” (the Director) of VIP Rescue was at animal services picking up another doggie for their “freedom ride”, when she was asked if she had room for one more in her Rescue, me! She came around the corner, and there I stood with my Snoopy stuffie in my mouth. Ms. Betsy smiled and scooped me up for my “freedom ride” to! Yeah! Now that you know my back story, let’s talk about all the good stuff, k?

After a visit to our Vet, I headed home with my foster Mommy for some much needed rest, relaxation and recuperation time from whatever trauma happened upon me, but that’s all in the past. My new life began as soon as I was picked up by Ms. Betsy ❤️

I’m an independent kinda gal who likes to lounge around the house with all these doggie beds, I’m not big on cuddles, well, not yet anyway 😉 I also like to hang in the fenced in yard with my foster siblings (with supervision of course)  One of my favorite things to do is go on a “pack” walk with my foster friends and foster Mom. I get to do all the sniffies I want! Ha! I’m headed back to the “dog”ter for one final good girl visit to clear me for adoption.  Mommy says that’s a very good thing because VIP is going to find me the bestest and safest “fur”ever family! I like the sound of that! I’d prefer an adult only home, one that the human is home more often than not. Oh, don’t forget about keeping me so pretty! (Especially with bows in my hair) I’ll need grooming typically every 6-8 weeks with a cost from $60.00-$120.00 per groom. Please make sure you keep that in mind for your budget!

I’m fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, had a dental and am on my heartworm and flea prevention as well. I’m ready to roll! Do I sound like the girl for you? I sure hope so. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. I sure hope to meet you soon!

Mojo / Holiday

Available for adoption

www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Bichon

Age:  13 yr young

Sex: Male

Weight: 14 lb

Potty trained: yes as long as he is let out often.

Color: White

Gets along with dogs:  yes

Gets along with Cats: Unknown

Kids: Older, but prefers an adult only home

We’d like you to meet Mojo, or better known in his foster home as Moho or Mojito. This darling senior boy is a 13 year Bichon weighing in at just 14 lbs. This sweetheart found himself at Animal Control as a stray through no fault of his own, and hit the Rescue jackpot when we transferred him into our care and is currently in one of our amazing foster homes.

If you need some new Mojo, he might just be the boy for you! You can even call him Mojito, it doesn’t really matter to him as long as he’s getting lots of human attention. Upon intake, he visited the “dog”ter to have a lumpy lump removed, and was also neutered at the same time. He’s doing very well with both, except for that dang cone that prevents him from using the doggie door properly. He can get out but sometimes he has trouble getting back in, but It doesn’t matter though because someone is always there with him and that dang cone will be gone soon, (yeah!) Then let the good times roll!

Mojo is a playful boy who enjoys romping with his foster family brothers and sisters and wishes they’d participate more.Ha! He’s 13, but acts like he’s a young 7 yr old!  When they don’t want to play he loves to explore all those neat places out in the yard. (with supervision of course!)There’s so many new and exciting adventures to occupy his time. When he’s not romping with his pals in the yard or snoozing on the couch with the “human”, he enjoys taking walks and does very well on the leash. Mojo is potty trained as long as he is let out often, if not he will piddle in the house.

Mojo is full of love to give and would be a great addition to any home, but he’d prefer an adult family, and one who is home more often than not. Please keep in mind the costs to groom him, usually every 6-8 weeks, and this cost can range from $60-$120/per grooming.

Mojo is neutered, has had a dental, is microchipped, current with his vaccinations and is current on flea and heartworm prevention.

Does he sound like a good fit for you and your home??  If you’re interested in adding this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Coco / Largo

Dog Name: Coco / Largo

Beach DOB: 12/05/2021

DOG BREED: Pomeranian

DOG WEIGHT: 20lb – (a few too many)

GENDER: Male

HOUSE TRAINED: Yes, as long as let out often, trained working on leash walks

LOCATION: Largo, FL

GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes, similar size. No large dogs

GOOD WITH KIDS: unknown

GOOD WITH CATS: yes

COLOR: Brown

FENCED YARD: Required, he is very nervous on the leash, He has lived inside with minimal exposure to outside and never on a leash until taken into rescue.

**We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed**

Hello everyone, we’d like you to meet Coco, a 4 year old Pomeranian boy! This gorgeous gentlemen was purchased by an elderly couple and had been used solely for breeding purposes…  Yep for breeding…. UGH…. He sired many puppies and now 4 years later his elder human is overwhelmed and has a very “crowded” house. A family member reached out to surrender this adorable guy in the hopes of reducing the number of dogs her elderly mother has.  We said yes,  because that’s what we do, save dogs!!! We wanted to get him out of the breeder business as quickly as possible and find him a “fur” ever home where he is the center of attention and where he can learn to be a dog, learn to play, and be loved.

Coco is over weight and will need to shed a few pounds which his new family will have to continue doing for him, and he is currently only tinkle pad trained as he lived inside his entire life. Can you imagine? He is such a sweet boy, and LOVES to be outside in his foster homes fenced yard. He can’t get enough of the sights, sounds and sniffies of the outside world.  He is a big no to leash walking at this time, but we’ll work on that with him, as well as help him to just be a dog and be the happy go lucky dog he deserves to be. He’d love to get all your  attention and in return he will give you his huge smile and all of his love back.  He enjoys cuddling and napping on the human lap. Currently he is very nervous when taken in the car as the only time he has ever been in the car was for infrequent grooming and when he was rescued.  We don’t think he would be good as a travel buddy… He would do best as a stay at home buddy.

He is good with the other pups in the foster home, so he could either be your one and only or with another established pup his size (or smaller)

The ideal home for Coco is a quieter adult only home with someone who is definitely home more often than not, ideally a retiree or an adult that works from home with a secure fenced yard attached to the home.  Since coming into his foster home he can’t get enough of the outside. He has not experienced a yard and he is just loving it.  He is a sweetie, but will need time and patience to continue building his confidence and trust in his humans. Also something to keep in mind is that he will require regular grooming which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up for each session, so please be prepared in your budget for that very important expense.

Coco has been neutered, had a recent dental, has been brought current on his vaccines and also on his monthly flea and heartworm prevention.  Might this smiley guy be the boy for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog.

1-24-26 PUPDATE

Hi there, it’s just me, lil’ ol’ Dixie here to share a bunch of new things about me! If you remember, when I got here I was a little scared, because this was all new to me, but boy oh boy, not anymore! My true personality has come out, (thanks foster daddy and mommy 💗) and I’m even more adorable if you can believe it!

Are you ready for fun, love and adventure?  If you are, you just have to meet me. I was an owner surrender a couple of months ago, and boy did I have a lot of making up to do. Foster Mom calls me “Dixie the Explorer” Ha! While in the backyard, I hunt lizards, squirrels, bunnies and anything else that enters the backyard. Once I have successfully rid the back yard of uninvited visitors, I come into the house to chew a bone or play with a toy.  When evening hits, I am looking for an enjoyable dinner, a walk around the neighborhood (I love “walkies” and am good on a leash) to socialize with the neighborhood young children and cuddles on the couch. Foster Mom has other pups in the house like me, and I get along with them, so if you have a friend for me to play with it’s ok, or I could be your one and only to spoil, as that works for me too! 🤗 I really need a home that has a secure fenced in yard so I can continue my quest for the creatures in the yard!

I’m fully vetted and prefer a quieter adult only home where my human is home more often than not, maybe a retiree or someone who works from home would be “pawsome”. I’m also going to need regular grooming to keep me looking pretty, so please keep that in mind with your budget. Typically a groom will run about $60.00 and up.

If you have a similar lifestyle, ( minus the hunt for critters 🤣) please fill out an adoption application www.viprescue.org so we can meet, k?

11-24-25 – PUPDATE We’d like you to read our sweet Dixie’s update. As she becomes more comfortable and familiar with her new surroundings in her foster home, her true personality is coming out and she is absolutely adorable! She has become an expert Lizard chaser as she can find them anywhere. She perks up as soon as she spies one and the chase is on or even hide and seek is fun to. We discovered Dixie’s playful drive at the Dogtoberfest held last weekend in Dunedin. Our tent location was facing the Lure course (flag on a remote control line and the dogs are stimulated chasing it) Yes Dixie most certainly had her turn and boy did she love it. She completed one entire circuit around the course. You go girl! Ha! As you can see, our darling lizard chasing lure coursing girl most certainly will enjoy an active household, and maybe one that will get her involved in some type of agility? We bet she’d love it!

Dixie is still in search of her “Fur”ever home. If you are ready to welcome this sweet active girl into your heart and home, please visit our website VIPRescue.org to review her complete bio, and if you think you’d be the perfect fit for her, please fill out an adoption application as we’re sure Dixie would love to be settled in her new home for the Holidays!

11-13-25 Well hello there! I’m Dixie, a 7 year old 16lb Pommy mix girl! My human became ill and could no longer take care of me, and surrendered me to VIP Rescue. As soon as I got here, I went straight to the “dogtor” for a complete check up as I had never been to a place like that before. Thank goodness all is well and I’m ready to find my new human to share my life with! My ideal new place would a quieter, active adult home, no kids please, with someone who is home most of the time, either a retiree or maybe an adult who works from home.

Foster Mom has other littles in the house, I like them, but I could also be your one and only and you can spoil me rotten. I get all kinds of excited when I hear Mom gathering the leashes for a walk, I really like that, cuz I get to do all the “sniffies” in the neighborhood and boy, do I like those! I’m working on “housebreaking” training, (whatever 🙃 lol) and am currently tinkle pad trained. I’m learning to go outside when we go on those awesome walks with foster Mom. Since I’m so cute and fluffy, keep in mind that I will need regular grooming appointments which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up each time, so please prepare that in your budget cuz that’s really important for me to have done.

I’m spayed, current on my vaccines, had a recent dental, am microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention as well. If you’re interested in me or in both me and my friend Daisy, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you soon!

We’re excited to share a great “pup”date on our sweet Daisy!

Hey friends, it’s me, Daisy, and wow, do I have an update for you! Fact is, when I first met the volunteers at VIP Rescue, I was scared, reserved, shy, frightened easily because I  had never known the life I was being introduced to. The doctor visits, the collar, harness and leash, the walks, the schedule, even the loving outreach from all the strangers on my first outing at a doggie event, it was just all new, unknown and very overwhelming. My foster mommy said it was good for me to get out and about, but I wasn’t as sure as she was! “Mom” kept at it, and well, I have to admit, it’s working and really kinda nice getting “out and about.”

Since those initial days, foster mom has introduced me to so much, so now I’m not so overwhelmed. You could say I am in a whole new place in my new life, and I’m really liking it! Foster mom says I am now living the life a dog deserves, but she says I can’t stay here forever, because there are others just like me that need a safe place to land and to learn about all the great things life has to offer a pupper like me and get a loving family of their own, like I’m going to get! 🐾❤️

So now, I am looking for my forever home. One that I deserve, want and really need.

As you may have read, I didn’t have this kind of life before. I pretty much spent my life in a crate, and guess what? Since these rescue folks took me in, I haven’t been in a crate at all except on my terms and to go on car rides because I’m such a good girl! I’m learning to go potty outside or sometimes I go on the potty pads that she has next to the back door. Foster mom has me on a schedule, when we go outside, I do my business, I get a treat and the when we come in I have free roam of the whole house. If foster mom isn’t home to stick to her schedule, potty pads are my backup plan. My precision isn’t always perfect, doesn’t matter, because foster mom still says that I’m a good girl!

On that note, let’s talk about schedules. Mine, and yours. Let’s start with mine. Prior to coming to VIP, I wasn’t fed appropriately. Whether it was because it wasn’t enough, was too infrequently, was not in a safe or clean environment, or maybe it was because I used to get bullied by a bigger dog in the house at mealtime, my point is, my new meal time schedule is the jam 💃 🐾 and I participate in the jam appropriately by dancing on my back feet, paws in the air, and then spinning in circles in anticipation of my chow. I eat nearby my other canine housemate friends, but foster mom is on watch duty and she doesn’t let anyone get in my bowl. Truth is, I can’t get in their bowl either! Mom watches us all like a hawk. That’s good because I don’t have to worry about another pup eating my yummies.

Now, about your schedule. I really like company, I don’t mind the fact you have things to do, and I will chill out by your side while you do things like computer work, gardening, cooking/baking, laundry and crafting. But please, I’m not a loner. I lived that life, and I am flourishing in an active house, that has normal and predictable routines and schedules. I’m chill with you leaving me for short times but don’t leave me hours on end.

I need exercise, sunshine, fresh air, love and nurturing. (And timely meals please).

Have other pets? No problem, as long as they aren’t an “alpha” type pup and don’t bully me around like what was done to me previously. Foster mom has introduced me to more dogs than I can count and I’m a big fan of all her canine friends, both fosters and her forever “fur” kids. I don’t have to be the head of the pack, but I have learned my confidence and I’m not a pushover anymore either.

Foster mom says I’m adorable, and quite frankly, I have to agree. I have a new pep to my step I didn’t have when I got here and every morning I am excited to see what I will learn or experience for the day.  I’m unusually playful for my age (estimated 7’ish years DOB 2018). I love toys, especially  the stuffed ones, with crunchies or squeakies inside.

I’ve got this goofy underbite with crooked teeth going on but foster mom says it just adds to my cuteness.  She’s convinced me that I am adorable, and I deserve a forever family. Foster mom says I am not barky. I just bark at the normal dog stuff, but I’m probably not an apartment/condo dog though because I love the freedom of a fenced in yard and all the sniffies, and don’t forget, I’m still working hard on my leash skills. “Mom” goes at my pace and so far, my pace has me sprinting right into my search for my forever family.

The ideal home for Daisy is a quieter adult only home with someone who is definitely home more often than not, ideally a retiree or an adult that works from home. With a secure fenced yard attached to the home. She is a sweetie, but will need time and patience to continue building her confidence and trust in her humans. Also something to keep in mind is that she will require regular grooming which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up for each session, so please be prepared in your budget for that very important expense.

Daisy has been spayed, had a recent dental, is current on her vaccines and also on her monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Might she be the gal for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

FENCED YARD: Not required, but if you have one, because she’s so tiny, she will need supervision when in yard at all times.

Well, who do we have here? Why it’s itty bitty Zoey! She’s an 8 year old 5.5 lb little  feisty, spicy love bug who’s looking for a new family to dote on her.

A lot of people look for a tiny dog, they’re so cute and tiny, you can take them just about anywhere, but our little “spice” gal is looking for a quieter adult only home who will have patience with her as she settles in. Zoey does have some anxiety, and will bark when seeing/meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, she becomes a Velcro doggie. With a little patience, you will be rewarded with all the cuddles you want, as she is a “clinger” type of gal. If your lap is available and she’s not on it, she’ll figure out a way to get there!

Zoey gets along with other small dogs, or she could be your one and only. She is sooooo little and cute, oh, and did we say spicy and feisty? lol..Yup, that’s our little Zoey! Bonus, she’s house trained and walks well on her leash!

Zoey is spayed, has just had a dental, current on all vaccines, microchipped and on her monthly flea and heartworm prevention.

Does Zoey sound like the gal for you? Should you accept this challenge, the adoption application can be found on our website www.viprescue.org

***We’ve had a lot of interest in her, meet and greets are arranged only with an approved application, not on a first come first served basis, but those that are best suited to meet the needs of Zoey.

**We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed**

Wow!!! Meet Sasha, an incredibly sweet large breed puppy. Yes, this little dog rescue has a large breed puppy! (don’t ask…lol…) She is going to be HUGE!! We are thinking 80-120 lbs but this is not a guarantee of weight, she could be more or less!  She is an active puppy who loves to play with the other pups in her foster home and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things. Do you like happy playful dogs? Are you looking for a constant companion? If so, Sasha might just be your girl!!!

Sasha is a 3 month old Bernese Mountain Dog with boundless energy and a desire to please her human. As you can see, she’s a beautiful tri-color pup, and even more stunning in person. While today she tips the scales at 18 pounds, she’s going to be a BIG girl when she grows up… and…..be ready for the food bills because she LOVES to eat!  Just coming in to VIP Rescue she has already shown that she’s really smart. It took mere minutes to master playing with the doggies at her foster home. Once she settles in a bit, we’ll start to work on potty training. She picks up anything and everything that is in front of her, so she will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything out of her mouth that she finds outside! After playtime, she will settle down in a soft puppy bed or the nearest lap to relax. Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, especially in potty training. She has started leash walks, this is a work in progress. Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home as well for her safety. She will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure she doesn’t get into things she is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference.  She will need someone who can commit to walks and mental enrichment including training and toys.  Give her attention and you will be rewarded with a puppy full love and affection.  She requires a single family home with a secure fenced yard, being a Large Breed she needs a large fenced yard area to live and play, she will not be a match for a condo or apartment.    One of the most unique features of Bernese Mountain Dogs is their lush, double-layered coat. This thick fur adds to their striking appearance, and the outer layer of their fur is either straight or slightly wavy and lengthy, while the underlayer is dense and soft. Their beautiful black, white, and rust tricolor pattern further enhances their majestic look. Regular grooming is important to maintain the beauty of their coat, requiring brushing several times a week and occasional baths to prevent matting and tangling.

Sasha will be spayed soon, is already microchipped, and current on her age appropriate vaccinations as well as her heartworm and flea prevention.  VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Gorgeous George / Redington Beach

Gorgeous George / Redington Beach

Available for adoption

www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Poodle mix

Age: 3 yr

Sex: Male

Weight: 15 lb

Color: Cream

Gets along with Dogs: yes

Gets along with Cats: Unknown

Kids: Respectful 8+ with dog experience

Gorgeous Geroge. Looking at the pictures, you can understand why he has the name he does. His crazy underbite is the cutest ever!

George is an amazingly handsome 3 year old 15lb Poodle mix boy. This sweet guy didn’t have such a good start to life. He came to us from a good Samaritan that saw his post as “Free Dog” on craigslist. Ugh. What he’s finding out is he has just hit the doggie jackpot here at VIP Rescue! We started off with a spa day.. lol, where he received a much needed groom, as his hair was overgrown and very matted. Then came the “bubbles”. He loved every minute of it! After a few days of rest and recuperation, he headed to the “Dogtor” for a neuter, a dental, heartworm test (yeah negative) and had all his vaccinations that were needed. Then back to the foster home for some rest and more recuperation. After a few days in his foster home he became the friendly, relaxed, happy pup that he is.

This sweet boy loves leash walks and couch cuddles. As of now he’s not a toy fan but he does love dog beds and food. One thing we have discovered is he is a little food protective, so If there is any food in his bowl, please let him finish before you take the bowl. Because he’s on the skinny side we can totally understand why he’s protective when he gets his food bowl. He most likely had to fight for his meals in his previous life. He is also house trained as long as long as he’s let out frequently.

George is looking for a home where the humans are home more often than not, he does ok when he’s left alone for short periods of time. Due to the recent changes in his life recently, he is looking for a home where there are patient humans that will give him the time he needs to adjust. He is starting to play with the other foster dogs in the home so another furry playmate would be preferred. He can get vocal when new people come into the home or neighborhood doggies walk by the house, so he would do best in a single-family home, no condos or apartments. He is also vocal on his walks when there is another dog headed toward him, he gets excited to meet other neighborhood pups and he stops barking once they meet or pass by. George is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, has had a dental and is on his heartworm and flea prevention. Please keep in mind the costs to groom him, usually every 8-10 weeks, can range from $60-$120/per grooming. He is most definitely ready to find his “fur” ever home, could that be yours?

Does George sound like a good fit for you and your home?? If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Hogan / Redington Beach

Name: Hogan / Redington Beach

Available for Adoption

Breed: Bichon/Poodle mix? White fluffy mix maybe? or maybe just some A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.N.E.S.S?

Age: 5 mo DOB 3-25-25

Sex: Male

Weight: 11 lb Current

Color: White

DOGS: He would like another, similar size dog to play with in his new home.

Kids: Respectful 8+ with tiny dog experience

Yard: Fenced yard Recommended

We’d like you to meet 11 lb. 5 month old Hogan. Can you believe that cute little face? He is the biggest goofball and oh so smart. We think his adult weight could be upwards of 15-22 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Hogan is an active puppy who loves to play with the other pups in his foster home and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things. He picks up anything and everything that is in front of him, so he will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything out of his mouth that he finds outside! After playtime, he will settle down in a soft puppy bed or the nearest lap to relax. Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, especially in potty training. (He has been working on pee pad training). He has started leash walks, this is a work in progress. Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home as well for his safety. He will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure he doesn’t get into things he is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference. A secure fenced yard would be Hogans preference so he can run and play and burn off his puppy energy. He will need someone who can commit to walks and mental enrichment including training and toys. He requires plenty of human interaction and can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for long periods. This can result in some destructive behaviors such as excessive barking or chewing through your favorite slippers or shoes.

Hogan would love a family that will continue to show him all the good things that life has to offer. If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 8+. He is fast and he darts around and can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. He will need to be in a home where his people are agile and very alert to keep an eye out for him. He is looking for a home with another dog for him to play with and learn from, a similar sized dog between 15-30 lbs, would be best, and please, no big doggies in his new home.

Hogan has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm and flea prevention. Please keep in mind the costs to groom him, usually every 8-10 weeks, can range from $60-$120/per grooming.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Hey there, I’m Bugsy, or Bug for short!! I found myself in need of a new home when my human failed me and posted me on craigslist, UGH! I tell ya, sometimes that can be one scary place for a pup to find a new home. I hope no other animals find themselves in the situation I was in on there and given to the first person to respond with absolutely no questions asked. Luckily, a dog lover saw my ad and went and scooped me up. Phew….close call, huh? They were told I had never seen a vet, I was not given any flea or heartworm prevention and I was not neutered. They didn’t even tell them I mark my territory and am a very active puppy dog. I had no choice but to leave the home I had known.

I found myself in need of everything dog, even things I didn’t know I needed! I can tell I am in a much better place now and after only a short time I have fallen head over heals for my foster mom, I follow her everywhere and the other dogs where I am staying and very nice to me too. Things happened SO fast after that! I am getting yummy food, I visited the Dog-tor and got current with my vaccinations, tested for heartworm, (thankfully I’m negative). I’m now on heartworm and flea meds, yeah, I was covered in those pesky yucky fleas. Then I was off to the groomer for a bath and hair trim, as I have a wire coat with some soft fluffy hair mixed in. With all that behind me and a few days of rest and some play, I went back to the Dog-tor for a neuter and dental.

A long time supporter of VIP Rescue stepped up and generously sponsored all of this Vet care for me, lil’ ol’ Bugsy, as well as the grooming, and first month flea and heartworm prevention! Wow! I’m one lucky pup, huh? AND guess what? I’m now ready to find my furever home! Yippee!!!

Now the fun stuff. I’m a high-energy pup who loves to play, chase balls, and run. I enjoy taking long leash walks, (in the cooler part of the days, remember, hot pavement on my footsies hurts) couch snuggles and sleeping with my foster mom in the human bed at night and have discovered soft doggy beds are wonderful for daytime naps. I love lots of cuddles, human affection, and having my human in my eye sight at all times. My foster home has other pups and I’m super curious about them and watch what they do and how they play. I would be best with a home that has another established pup, one my size or similar. I’m very nervous around bigger doggies.

I also need someone who is home more often than not, maybe is retired, or works from home. I don’t like being crated, I will bark and let you know if I am contained or accidentally shut in a room. Because I’m vocal if I feel contained, I will need a single family home, I’m not suitable for condo or apartment living.

I do mark sometimes, yes the downside to some male dogs, (and especially not being neutered when I was younger, AND no houstraining either) but please don’t let that deter you, I promise my foster mom is working on this and showing me that it is not OK to mark in the house. I am getting used to a bellyband (male diaper) and with each day I use it less and less. The other pups in the house do their business outside and I am watching carefully and learning.

I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention and I have bea-ut-iful pearly white teef, as I just got a fresh dental.

If you think you’re a good fit for me, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for Bugsy.

Thank you for reading my information today. If this is here, I am still available for adoption!

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Champ / Myakka City, FL

Champ / Myakka City

Sex: Male

DOB: 7/9/2019

Weight: 54 lbs

Color: Sable

Breed: Doodle. Poodle, Collie, Lab mix

Good with other dogs: Yes

Good with kids: good with older children

Good with cats: unknown

Fenced yard required: No exceptions

Champ is a very handsome calm 54 lb loving sable doodle, at 5 years old. Champ and his sister Lady (see additional post for Lady coming soon) are looking for a new home, as their owner did not have the time, space, or funds to care for them and they were living outside. Champ is a lovely houseguest, is housetrained, chill, and gets along best with dogs of similiar size and age or older. Champ needs a dog for companionship in his new home, and preferably not a puppy with high energy. Champ gets along with calm dogs. Champ adores his people, and will be your best friend and is gentle! He loves to run, romp, and play outside. He does not know a stranger. Champ was not leash walked in his prior home, so leash training will be a must. Champ is good for grooming, he loves to eat, and likes to cuddle. He sleeps on the floor at his foster home. He would make an excellent Walmart greeter! Champ is fostered in Myakka City, FL. To meet Champ, you will need to travel to Myakka City with your pets.

He will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. He may cry when you leave him. Champ is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, current on preventatives, and heartworm negative. He is a healthy happy boy. He will make a great new addition to the right family. A fenced yard is required for Champ to run and play at your home. Champ requires frequent grooming. Please take this recurring cost into your decision if you want to adopt Champ.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, live in a single family home, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, and be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. DOB: 9-19-2015

Breed: Terrier/Chi mix

Weight: 18 lbs

Color: Tri-color mostly black

House trained: Yes

Location: Largo

Cats: No

Dogs: Recommend to be only pet

Kids: Unknown, probably yes 13+

Fence: Yes, required

Meet Sweetpea (aka Sweetie pie, Sweetie, Sweets), can you guess her personality by her monikers? That’s right! She is super sweet! Sweetie is the perfect combination of couch potato/snuggle bug and terrier adventurer. She loves walks and will sit so you can attach her leash. However, she is very reactive toward other dogs; barking and lunging until they are out of sight. She is not reactive toward people, bicycles, cars, etc, and she loves to chase, which is why we recommend a fenced in yard. She likes to chase lizards, birds, squirrels, possums, pretty much anything that moves. Sweetie is very smart and eager to please, and with proper training and commitment, she could learn to be less reactive on walks. She gets along well with her current foster siblings, but did not like two dogs who visited for two weeks. With positive reinforcement, she was able to tolerate them, but never fully accepted them. She would be happiest as your one and only, as she wants all the attention. Are you looking for a best friend who would keep you company indoors and out? Sweetie may be the dog for you!

Sweetpea COMPLETED her heartworm treatment and is now Heartworm NEGATIVE!!! Yeah. Sweetpea is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for this great girl!

Squish / Redington Beach

Breed: Pug Mix

Age: 8 mo

DOB 10-07-24

Sex: Male

Weight: 11.8 lb currently – for an adult weight, could be 20-25 lbs

Color: Fawn

DOGS: yes

Kids: Respectful 10+ with small dog experience

Meet Squish, can you believe that little face? Melts your heart, right? Squish is now a healthy and happy 8 month old little boy who weighs in at a whopping 11 lbs.!!!! We think his adult weight could be up to 20-25 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Squish is a happy puppy who loves to play with the other pups in his foster home and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things. He picks up anything and everything that is in front of him, so he will need age appropriate puppy chew toys and a quick human to take rocks, twigs and anything he wants to taste, other than food, away from him. HA! After playtime, he will settle down in a soft puppy bed or lap to relax.

Please remember, puppies require ALOT of time, patience and consistency, especially in potty training. (He has been working on pee pad training) and loves leash walks. Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for his safety. He will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure he doesn’t get into things he is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference.

Squish would love a family that will continue to show him all the good things that life has to offer. Since he is still a puppy, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 10+ and small dog experienced. He is fast and so small he darts and can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. He will need to be in a home where his people are agile and very alert to keep an eye out for him. He is looking for a home ideally with another dog for him to play with and learn from, a similar sized dog under 25 lbs, and please, no big doggies in his new home.

Squish has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm prevention and flea prevention.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Lola / Holiday

Available for adoption

Age: 8yrs

Breed: Pug/Beagle Mix

Weight: currently 24 lbs. (should be 20 lbs)

Gender: Female

House trained: yes

Location: Holiday FL

Color: tan

Good with dogs: Yes

Not cat tested

Fenced yard recommended

Hi there everyone! I’m Lola, a very sweet 8 year old Pug-Beagle mix gal. First, let me apologize as I’m a bit overweight, but am working real hard to lose those excess pounds. My foster parents have me on a low calorie diet, and while I’m not crazy about it because it’s so different than the human food I’m used to eating, I am coping with the change and have already lost a few pounds! Yeah me!!

I came to VIP Rescue after I was taken in by Animal Control after my human passed away.

I had a couple lumpy bump that needed to be surgically removed, along with a fresh dental and my friends here at VIP took care of that for me. Now I’m all ready to find a new home!

My foster parents love that I am such a sweet girl. I get along with all the other dogs in the house and like to play when I can coax someone into playing with me. Otherwise, I’m quite content to hang with my humans while they do whatever they do. I do exhibit a few of the Beagle traits. Sometimes I like to howl at noises I don’t understand. I’d also be a good watchdog, I like to monitor my surroundings and sound the alarm when something seems amiss. Arooooooooo!

My Pug traits are more dominant though. I have a happy tail that is more Pug than “Beagley” My curiosity and head tilts are already legendary with foster Mom and Dad. I will barge through closed doors if I get the chance, just like my Pug brother.

While I’m generally very easy going, strange noises might frighten me. When foster Mom was using the trimmer, for example, I felt compelled to attack it because I didn’t know what it was! Also, watch your plants; I like to sneak a nibble now and then. I guess that makes me a normal dog just trying to make her way in the world, right? ? I just know if you met me, you’ll fall in love.

I’m spayed, microchipped, fresh dental current on my vaccines and on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application if you’re interested in me! ?

Teddy and Benny Hello everyone. We are Teddy (larger black and white) and Benny (brown), a bonded pair of Shih Tzus looking for a new home.

This sad story is far too common and happens way too often. Teddy and Benny. These two boys had their forever human for the last nine and 10 years, and one day their human got too sick to take care of them. They went to a different home temporarily, and then two weeks later found themselves in another place. THEN, a week later, another place, then a week later another place. ? Can you just imagine how confused these boys were? There’s no way they could possibly understand what’s going on. No one wants to hear this. No one wants to live this. The human got sick. A friend stepped in to help only to realize they couldn’t handle it. Then another human stepped in, and another only to reach out to Rescue to surrender the boys. These two boys didn’t ask for any of this. Teddy and Benny were happy the last several years only knowing one home, with THEIR human.. their loving caregiver. The family members didn’t want them. Again, this happens far too often and we can’t stress enough, PLEASE make arrangements for your pet(s) in advance should something happen to you where you can no longer care for them. PLEASE, DO. IT. NOW. Tomorrow is not promised.

Lucky for them, they’re now in the care of VIP Rescue hoping they will find a forever home together. Teddy and Benny are bonded boys who only know each other. They only have each other. Vip Rescue WILL NOT separate them. This is where we hope an Angel will step in. A human or two who will see the love they have for each other and the love they are willing to share with another family. Are you willing to give these two boys a forever home??? Yes, they’re seniors, yes, they’re bonded. These are two things that are against them. Not many folks will take on a case like this. It takes them a few days to adjust to get to know their surroundings. Then they are absolute couch potatoes. They love their walks, they love their food, and once they adjust they love belly rubs and loads of attention.

Teddy and Benny have hair that does grow so they will need to be groomed on a regular basis, this can cost anywhere from $50-100 per dog. Please keep that in mind for your budget if you’re interested in adopting them. They are basically housebroken but will use a peepad if they are not let out often. A home with a secure fenced yard is preferred. What do you say, are you that special Angel they’re looking for?

This is the epitome of Rescue: There will always be puppies. There will always be young adults. There will always be seniors that are looking for homes. That’s what Rescue is all about.

Rescue is the transition for seniors like this. We see it every day. We could not see these two going to a shelter, potentially separated, possibly being euthanized. They have a lot of life left in them in with the hopes that their life will be with you. Are you ready to open your heart and home to these two beautiful boys?

They are neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and both received fresh dentals along with an annual senior wellness check. They’re also current on their monthly heartworm and flea prevention as well.

To welcome these two into your heart and home, please submit an application to www.viprescue.org

Do you have that special loving home for both of us? We sure hope so. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for us! Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Do you celebrate Tongue out Tuesday? Do you like perpetually happy dogs? Are you looking for a constant companion? If so, I’m your man! Hi, I’m Larry, a 5-year-old Pug with boundless energy and a desire to please my human. As you can see, I’m a beautiful fawn color, even more stunning in person. While I tip the scales at 25 pounds, I’m very well proportioned. I just came to VIP Rescue recently,  but have already shown that I’m a smart boy!  It took me only a few minutes to master my foster parents’ doggie doors, I utilize them whenever I want, although I’d prefer that a human accompany me outside. I’m not crazy about being out there all by myself ?Being with a human is always the best, and once I get settled in I’ll immediately start to work on only going potty outside; it’s always a doggie challenge when moving.  I get along with all the other dogs here, and my former owner said that I also get along with cats. Still, nothing is better than sitting with my owner on a comfy sofa and snuggling. I just love to give kisses! Give me attention and you will be rewarded with my full love and affection. I’m microchipped, neutered and current on my vaccines and current on my heartworm and flea prevention. So, what do you think? Might I be “that guy” for you? Boy, I sure hope so! Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application, and don’t forget to put MY name, Larry, on it! Many kisses and tail wags, Larry ???

In her foster home, we are not crating her, however she has a crate with an open door she frequently snoozes in. She does fine when you are gone, provided you leave her within an area with no access to food & trash and another dog to comfort her. COTTON is well socialized, and well-mannered in social situations. She will bark at intruders and let you know if some is at your door or in your yard! Once reassured, she welcomes guests, humans and dogs with open arms to your home. Those who meet Cotton say, she is the perfect 10+.

COTTON came to VIP Rescue from a lady who found her aimlessly walking down a dirt road at 30 lbs. back. We have looked for her owner with no success. She was in rough shape, sickly, and neglected upon arrival. After not finding her owner, she was brought to VIP Rescue. She has had bilateral entropion surgery, a dental, has been spayed, and allergy tested. She is now ready to find her perfect home! She has been an outstanding houseguest at her foster home and frolicks with the other poodles there.

COTTON is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped. She likes walks 2-3 times a day and playing in the fenced yard. She requires frequent brushing and monthly grooming which costs $100-$200. She is fed prescription food and a home cooked diet as she has GI sensitivities. We have figured out her diet and she no longer experiences GI issues provided you follow the protocol of food and supplements – we will explain. Cotton has been to an array of veterinarians and specialists at UF Small Animal Hospital for her recovery. Preference will be given to those adopters with Standard Poodle experience.

COTTON can offer you her unconditional love, loyalty, and affection. She is a great dog, and someone is going to hit the jackpot with this amazingly well-adjusted attentive girl! You must have a fenced yard to adopt Cotton, as she loves to chase anything that moves outside. She has been around cats, she is curious, but she has not chased or pursued cats.

COTTON is located in FERNANDINA BEACH, FL. You must travel to FERNANDINA BEACH to meet COTTON and bring any other pets and residents you have for the meeting. If you would like more information on COTTON or to be considered for adoption, you must complete an adoption application at www.viprescue.org. Our volunteer will contact you once your application is approved. We are unable to respond to your emails and messages without you first completing an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida or Georgia resident and a homeowner, be at least 25 years of age to adopt. A fenced yard is not negotiable. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. This breed typically lives 12-15 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets’ estimated lifespan. If you want more info or would like to meet COTTON, please complete an adoption application at www.viprescue.org

Conner / Redington Beach

Breed: Maltese mix

Age: 4 mo DOB 10-20-24

Sex: Male Weight: 4 lb currently – for an adult weight, could be 12-18 lbs

Color: White

DOGS: He would like another, similar size dog to play with in his new home.

Kids: Respectful 10+ with tiny dog experience

Tiny breed experience in the home is a MUST and you will need to be able to provide proof.

Meet Conner, can you believe that little face? Melts your heart, right? Conner is now a healthy and happy 4 month old little boy who weighs in at a whopping 4 lbs.!!!! We think his adult weight could be up to 12-18 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Conner is a tiny puppy who loves to play with the other pups in his foster home and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things. (He has been working on pee pad training). Also, don’t forget, they can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for his safety. He will need a home with watchful eyes to make sure he doesn’t get into things he is not supposed to. A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference.

Conner would love a family that will continue to show him all the good things that life has to offer. Since he is so tiny, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 10+ and tiny dog experienced. He is fast and so small he darts and can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. He will need to be in a home where his people are agile and very alert to keep an eye out for him. He is looking for a home with another dog for him to play with and learn from, a similar sized dog under 15-18 lbs, and please, no big doggies in his new home.

Conner has been neutered, is current on his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on his heartworm prevention and he does not weight enough yet for flea prevention. Please keep in mind the costs to groom him, usually every 6-8 weeks, and this cost can range from $60-$120/per grooming.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

Blondie / Largo

DOB: 12/6/2014

Weight: 12 lbs

Color: white/blonde

Gender: Female

House trained: Yes

Location: Largo

Cats:  Unknown

Dogs: Yes, calm

Kids: Unknown, probably yes 13+

Fence: not required

Hello, my name is Blondie!  I have been told I have beautiful ombre` wavy hair, with dark roots and blonde/white locks, and seriously, people pay good money to get hair like mine!  I don’t care about all that though!  I’m glad people think I’m cute, so I get lots and lots of love.  I love to be with my human, in their lap as much as possible.  I definitely want a family that is home more often than not. I do get nervous when I can’t find my human, because I can only find my human with my nose, as I had to have both eyes removed when I came to VIP Rescue due to a severely infected eye, and the other one had glaucoma, so the dog-tor was unable to save my sight.  I came through the surgery with flying colors and most importantly, I’m not in pain anymore!!  I wear this halo now (I’m an angel), this helps me find my way around without bumping into things. I do pretty good once I get familiar with the house.  I do sometimes knock things over, open spaces are easier to navigate, and sometimes I get “stuck”, where I can’t figure out how to get out of a spot, so I’ll bark to let you know I need help.  I can find my Foster mom when she’s in another room and follow her around the house.  I can go up the short stairs to the couch, though most of the time I just ask to be picked up by coming over and rubbing up against her or lifting my paws, up, mom, up!  I can even find my toys and I love to play with them, squeakers are my favorite!

I have learned to go to the door when it’s time to go out.  I go out on to the deck easy, but the stairs make me nervous, it’s tough to know when I’m at the stairs or about to fall off something, so my foster mom carries me down.  I can go up the stairs pretty good; no stairs in my new home would be amazing!  I find my own way around outside to do my business, and I have never had an accident in the house, I know to wait until I smell grass.  I don’t like to be leash walked, I prefer to lead with my nose.  I’ve been told some people “walk” their dogs in strollers, I might like that so I can relax and do the “sniffies” without being worried about bumping into things.  I love to sit in the sun, just like any other dog, but I want you to stay out with me though and talk to me so I know where you are and that I’m not alone.  I get along well with my foster canine siblings, one of them gets mad when I bump into her and she growls, but I tell her, hey, It’s not my fault, I can’t see!  Now she has learned to move when I come close, the other two don’t mind when I bump into them. If you have animals at home already, we would require a meet and greet to see how they react to my halo and to make sure we get along just fine. I’m scared of Fireworks and will need to have all of your attention to help me through the times of year when they are used. 🙁

I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on heartworm and flea prevention. I will require regular grooming for my beautiful hair, so please keep that in mind with your budget.

Are you ready to open your heart and home to this beautiful girl?  If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. She hopes to meet you really soon!

Hey everyone, we’d like you to meet “Popcorn”! He got his name because when he gets groomed his hair curls right back up and looks like fresh popcorn! He’s a super sweet 2 year old boy who loves to play play play, so he’s thinking he’d like an energetic playful home and family. Popcorn was found as a stray and has been in a foster home with kids, grandkids and other pups and is doing great with all. He has a great personality to! He loves attention and of course, his yummy food. The food, oh my, he will do anything and get anywhere to find food. You will actually need to “Popcorn proof” your home, no lie. He will get on chairs, tables and counter surf in search of any unattended morsels. Haha! Seriously, you cant leave that plate or pot of spaghetti out anywhere because he will get it and eat all of it, ALL.OF.IT.????? Ok, so we’re assuming at this point you get the idea, right? Oh boy, that’s a challenge, right? Do you have time to play and take walks, and play and walk and play some more with this guy??? He’s all about that! He is crate trained for sleeping at night or he will snuggle up in the human bed if that’s ok with you. If you don’t want him in your bed, he will need to be in a crate.(Remember the counter surfing? Yup!) He is very smart and could benefit from some formal training. He is ok on the leash, he loves to lead the way but does take correction to slow it down and walk nice, but when he sees another dog, he gets excited and wants to say hi to everyone. Again, with a little training and time, he will be the bestest boy. He has the typical puppy energy and is somewhat of an adventurer. Are you looking for a best friend who would keep you company indoors and out? Popcorn may be the dog for you!

Popcorn is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for this great boy.

Sheba / Myakka City

Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Labradoodle mix

Age: 2yr DOB 1-3-23

Sex: Spayed Female

Weight: 48 lb currently

Color: Apricot

DOGS: She will require another established dog in the home to play with.

Kids: Respectful 7 + with dog experience, she would not be a good fir for a first time dog owner.

Fenced yard: Secure 6 foot fence Required, attached to the home, a dog park is not a substitute.

We’d like you to meet one of the sweetest gals ever! This is Sheba, a beautiful almost 2 year old Labradoodle girl. Sheba came to us in horrible shape weighing in at just a mere 22lbs and very sickly. She has spent the last few months in one of our amazing foster homes, and is now a happy, healthy girl weighing about 48lbs. She does has some food aggression, the foster will go over this with you.

Sheba is not completely house broken, she is working hard at it and absolutely LOVES other dogs and kids too! She does have some separation anxiety, so it is crucial that she goes to a home where the family is home more often that not, has a doggie or 2 siblings of similar size to learn from and play with, and kids? that’s a bonus for her as she loves them! She must have a single family owned home with a secured fenced in yard for her to do her zoomies in and play with her new family. Shiba needs more leash walking training and basic obedience training.

Sorry, no rentals, no apartments, no Condos, etc., it’s what’s best for her, and what she truly needs. A young, active family would be ideal for her.

Sheba has been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and is on her monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Please keep in mind she will need groomed every 6-8 weeks with a cost of about $100-150.

Do you think your family is the one sweet Sheba is searching for? Do you meet all of her needs? If so, Sheba would love to hear from you!

Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Sheba and all of our VIP foster pups wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

Weight: 9 lb
Color: Tan/White
DOGS: Yes, another dog in home required
Kids: Respectful 10+ with small dog experience
Fenced yard: Secure fenced yard attached to the home is required

Hey there friends of VIP Rescue! It’s me, Marlin! I’m a super sweet handsome 9 year old guy who weighs just 9 lbs. You see, I’ve had several changes in my short life, but now since coming to the great folks at VIP, I’m on the road to a fabulous life! I just love cuddling with the “hoomans” and play real nice with the doggies in my foster home. I’ve been told I do great on a leash. I can be a little nervous to start, but I do warm up if given some time. A fenced in yard in a single family home is a must for me and non negotiable, sorry, but it’s what’s best for me. A dog park is not a substitute. I would prefer a home where the human is home more often than not, maybe a work at home person or one that is not gone for more than a few hours at a time. Experience owner only, if you are looking for a first time pup Marlin is not for you. Please check out other adoptable dogs on our website,

Think I might be the guy for you? I sure do hope so! Just go to viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application to get the ball rolling! Hope to hear from you soon! Licks and wags, Marlin

Josephine / Seminole

Available for adoption

www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Yorkipoo mix

Age:  5 mo DOB 6-18-24

Sex: Spayed Female

Weight: 2.6 lb currently – adult weight could be up to 10 lbs

Color: Tan and Black

DOGS:  She would like another dog to play with in her new home (other dog must be small breed, 15 lbs or less)

Kids: Respectful 10+ with tiny dog experience

Tiny breed experience in the home is a MUST and you will need to be able to provide proof.

We would like to introduce the tiniest, sweet Josephine, Isn’t she the cutest ‘lil girl? :-o. Some of you might remember when she came to us a few months ago.  She was itty bitty and in really rough shape.  Fast forward, here she is a healthy happy bundle of puppy.  She is 5 months old, currently a whopping.. tiny 2.6 lbs, and we think her adult weight could be up to 10 lbs, but please note, that is not a guarantee of weight.

Josephine is your typical tiny puppy, loves to play with the other pups in her foster home, loves her yummy food, and of course, like any puppy, likes to chew on things, so she will need age appropriate puppy chew toys. After playtime, she will settle down in a puppy huddle to relax.

Puppies require a lot of time, patience and consistency in potty training. As a plus she has been practicing leash walks with her foster siblings.

Also, don’t forget, puppies can be “curious” so you’ll need to puppy proof your home for her safety.  She does require a home with patience as she is a bit of a drama queen and seeks attention.  A work from home family, or one who only works away from the home for just a few hours a day will be given preference. Josephine would love a family that will continue to show her all the good things that life has to offer. Since she is so tiny, If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be 10+ and tiny dog experienced. She is fast and so small she darts and can get under feet quickly and sometimes unnoticed. She will need to be in a home where her people are agile and keen to keep an eye out for her.  She is looking for a home with another dog for her to play with and learn from, but other dogs in home but be small breeds no more than 15 lbs for her safety, please no big dogs.

Josephine has been spayed, (Foster Mom will go over post surgery instructions with you) is current on her age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and started on her heartworm prevention and she does not weight enough, yet for flea prevention.

If you’d like to add this little cutie to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO !!

Hello there, It’s me Cooper ( you may remember me from earlier cuz’ I’m still lookin’ for my forever person) I’m a 4 year old extremely handsome terrier mix boy. I have been told I am a member in good standing of the He-Man Woman Hater Club, but I am getting to know that the female type might be ok as well.(I currently do have a foster Daddy AND foster Mommy, but boy, did Mommy have her work cut out for her!) BUT.. she did everything right, and it sure took a while, but I’m thinking I wubs her now) I am looking for a Daddy (or maybe, just maybe, a single female) that has a lifestyle that allows me to keep my good standing. For some crazy reason, I prefer men, so If you are of the female persuasion, we will need to meet and spend some time together to see if I enjoy your company. We all have our own “quirks”, right?

If you are in the market for a little project, I just might be the pup for you, and as a terrier, I have some requirements that must be met by my future human.

First, I must be the center of your universe. I love life as long as I get all the attention and get my way, so NO CHILDREN, NO SENIORS and NO OTHER PETS. In return, I will make you the center of my universe, snuggling and cuddling with you. Second, I require my Human to be a homebody, either work from home and/or retired as I am afflicted with separation anxiety. Third, I must be exercised on a very regular basis. I know that I really need an active Human and I also require a secured fenced in yard in a single family home (sorry, no townhomes, apartments, condos, manufactured homes and no rentals.) I love leash walks, I love barking at cars and everything on wheels as they go by, I know, it’s a little annoying, but I am working on it. I am used to 3-4 walks a day, I know that’s going to eliminate some great Humans, but it’s what’s bestest for me. I might be little, but I require a lot of room to stretch my legs as I like to zoom, zoom, zoom throughout the back yard. It is my job to keep all predators out of the back yard and I am excellent at my job if I do say so myself. Fourth, Bones and Toys!!!! I enjoy chewing on bones and playing with my toys. Fifth, lottsa love and patience!!! I am a good boy when all my requirements are fulfilled, which is mostly LOVE. I luvs to sleep in the human bed, snuggling under the covers. I will also require regular grooming, so please keep that in mind. It’s all about ME!!!!! As long as you understand all is good in my world.

Rescue Note: Cooper has been with us in our Rescue for quite some time now due to his “quirkiness” and his specific needs. Due to his foster parents love, devotion and most of all patience, he is ready for a family of his own now. We would consider a couple, but with that you both will need to be extremely patient and on board with all his “needs”. Ideally he’s look’n for a single human (male) home and a home visit WILL be required.

Cooper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention!

So, anywho, I just want to mention, and not to be mean or disrespectful, but if you don’t meet all my needs, please don’t apply for me. There are some other great pups in our rescue that might fit into your home better.

Applications that don’t meet Coopers requirements will be not be processed and will be closed.

Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

I really really hope my new Human is out there looking for his best boy, me! Cooper!

Standard Adoption Requirements: You must be a resident of FL., and be at least 25 years of age. This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting. Your age should be appropriate for Coopers estimated lifespan.

Betti Jo / Seminole

Available for Adoption

VIPRescue.org

Dog names: Betty Jo

Dob: 5-7-19

Breed: ShihTzu / Chihuahua mix

Weight: 15 lbs

Gender: Female

House Trained: Yes

Location: Seminole. FL

Good with dogs: Yes, similar size

Good with kids: unknown, 12+ patient & respectful

Color: Black/Grey and small patch of white

Fence: Recommended, we want her to have as much freedom as possible.

Please read ENTIRE bio before completing an application to adopt.

Betti Jo arrived at VIP Rescue with 2 little girls in tow from one of her many litters. Betty Jo is a 5 year old Shih Tzu / Chihuahua mix weighing in at15 lbs! Rescued from a hoarder/breeder, Betti Jo arrived just in time to VIP Rescue with life-threatening Pyometra. Betti Jo was immediately spayed, received a much needed dental and extractions. Due to trying to escape her miserable past life confined in a crate, many of her front teeth are gone. We celebrated with Betti Jo that day! No more babies, no more living in a crate, and it is time to spoil Betti Jo!

Betti Jo is learning all about human contact, cuddles, now sleeping with a human, and enjoying a lap of love. While Betti Jo is absorbing all this love, she is still shy, still a little nervous, and we take things at her pace. Each day she is learning to trust more. We are preparing her to be adopted soon to a patient person; she is now healthy, and ready to become someone’s princess.

Betti Jo is a patient mother to her pups, Billi Jo and Bobbi Jo. She is their jungle gym, their chew toy, they climb all over her, and sleep with her. She is housetrained and learning to walk on a leash. We have started giving her one on one time, and relieving her of her motherly duties. Each day she makes social progress and is loving all the attention, but this takes time…..and on her terms.

Betti Jo’s future home must absolutely be patient, teaching her to trust, and be committed to showing her all the love she deserves so she can be the best girl we know she can be. We would love to see her go to a home where someone is home more often than not. She is learning what toys are. A fenced yard is recommended- we want her to have as much freedom as possible since she has been confined to a crate most of her life. She loves to hang out in the shade with you and she really enjoys the fresh air. A single-family home would be best. Betti Jo has found her voice and likes to bark as neighbors go walking by. She could be your one and only dog, or if you have another small dog that is submissive and mild mannered, that may work. As for kids, 12 plus and respectful of her space and patient would be considered.

Betti Jo is spayed, a fresh dental, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

If you think this shy sweet girl might be for you, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Charlotte / Myakka City, FL

Available for adoption

Sex: Female spayed

Weight: 6lb currently – for an adult weight 15-20 lbs

Color: Black Scruffy

DOGS: She would like another dog to play with in her new home.

FENCED YARD: She loves to romp and run! A fenced yard is required.

Kids: Respectful 8+

Hey there VIP peeps! My name is Charlotte, and I’m a 4 month old 6 lb. Scuffy Terrier mix puppy!

I like other doggies, (small to medium pups) no big doggies for me! I’m. I love to play with my age appropriate puppy toys, and boy, the food here at my foster home is just delish! I am very smart, eager to learn, catching onto routines around my foster home very quickly. I like to please, it would be fun to train me with consistent work.

Did I mention I’m a puppy? I LOVE to run and play, so a young, active family, will be what I need, (no couch potatoes for this girl!) and preferably one with a secure fenced in yard for me to run around, play ball with you and burn some of this energy off. I’d be ok with kids, as long as they’re respectful and experienced with dogs, say 8+ and respectful of my little size. I’m still working on this “housebreaking” thing, so you MUST be committed to continue my training, and please, because I’m so young, I CANNOT be left alone for hours on end, that’s not good for me, so please take that into consideration as well. If you work part time-time, or work from home, that’d be best!

I’ve been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and have been started on my heartworm and flea prevention to! So……if you’re a young active family looking for an adorable active puppy, please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application for me, k? Hey there, I’m Lucie, a 13 week old Havapoo little girl who was born on 7/16/24. Good with kids: Yes, Pixie wants kids in her new home to romp and play. She loves kids!

Color: Cream

Hi everyone! My name is Pixie. I’m thought to be a 4 year old Yorkie Chihuahua mix, although my foster parents struggle to see the Chihuahua. Honestly it doesn’t matter to me because I’m just so adorable. I know you’ll fall in love with me the minute you meet me.

I came to VIP Rescue because my mother moved and couldn’t take me with her. For some strange reason her new home doesn’t allow dogs. I don’t understand, but I’m adaptable and will make myself at home no matter who adopts me. I sure feel comfortable in my temporary home, and I’m sure I’ll take to my new permanent home just fine.

Currently I’m a bit overweight at 16 pounds, but my foster parents have already started a new feeding regime to help me lose weight. It would be best if you could help keep me on track to get to a healthy weight. I know if you take me for walks, which I love, and play with me outside I’ll be fit and trim in no time at all!

You should know that some loud noises do make me afraid. I really don’t like thunder and fireworks also make me anxious, but I’m willing to snuggle to help me get through it if you will let me. Of course I always love to snuggle, so that should not be a problem. I’m potty trained, assuming I am taken out regularly and of course, a fenced yard is a plus!

I would love a home with another mild-mannered dog, i could also have a home with respectful kid(s) that I can play with. I am very sweet and have a happy tail. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and humans of any age. Just show me love and I’ll happily reciprocate. I’ve been spayed, am current on all vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea medication. Got to stay safe, you know.

If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online at www.viprescue.org. I hope to meet you soon!

I like other doggies, (smaller pups) no big doggies for me! I’m so “wittle”, and they scare me! lol. I love to play with my age appropriate puppy toys, and boy, the food here at my foster home is just delish!

Did I mention I’m a HIGH ENERGY puppy? I LOVE to run and play, so a young, active family will be what I need,( no couch potatoes for this girl!) and preferably one with a secure fenced in yard for me to run around, play ball with you and burn some of this energy off. Kids? I’d probably be ok, as long as they’re older, say 13+ and respectful of my itty bitty size.

Hope to meet you soon! ❤️🐾 you’d be a great match for Thumbelina, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue.

Good with dogs: Yes

Fenced yard recommended

Well, hey there everyone, My name is Zippey! I’m a fabulous 16 lb. 2 year old Yorkie mix guy.

My former people couldn’t afford my much needed Veterinary care, the recommended treatment was not followed and I had been in pain for a few months, and trust me, that was no fun, so they brought me in to the Vet to be “put to sleep” because of lack of funds, and thank goodness the Director of VIP was there at the same time with another pupper, and the Vet asked VIP Rescue if they would take me into their program for emergency treatment, and as usual, they said YES!

(Thank you Ms.Betsy, I wuvs you ???)

The amazing “dog”ter West immediately began treatment for my urinary issues, and I was able to be released after a few hours to begin my new healthy life with my foster Mom! Due to previous prolonged lack of care, I’m working on regaining my muscle strength to have complete control of my”tinkling”. I’m working so hard on it, but I do wear a little “belly band” inside the house for now, but when I’m outside I can tinkle anywhere I want! lol I’m making steady progress so in no time I’ll be all better and be housebroken again, I can’t wait! I will be on a special diet for life, which you must be committed to, k?

I LOVE to play with my soccer ball and run like crazy all over the yard, and hey, you know what’s better than playing in the yard with the ball? Playing with YOU! We can have a blast playing soccer T.O.G.E.T.H.E.R! oh my gosh, how great would that be! I get along with other pups my size, or I could be your one and only. I do want a family that has their own home with a fenced in yard too! I’m going to require regular grooming every 6-8 weeks or so, with a cost of $60 -100 per visit, so please make sure you work that into your budget, k?

I’m neutered, current on all my vaccinations, microchipped and am on heartworm and flea prevention. If you think I’m the boy for you, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application! I can’t wait to meet my new family ???

Molley / Redington Beach

Molley / Redington Beach

Available for adoption Viprescue.org

Age: 7years

Breed: Shitzu mix

Weight: 17 lbs.

Gender: Female

House trained: yes

Location: Redington Beach, FL

Color: Black/Gray

Good with dogs: Yes

Not cat tested

Say hello to sweet Molley!

She’s a 7 year old Shih Tzu mix gal weighing in at a svelt 17lbs! Molley was originally adopted from VIP when she was a pup, and has been returned to us through no fault of her own. She did require fairly extensive medical care, which of course she received the very best, and is now all better and ready to find her “fur” ever home. Molley needs an adult home where her human is home more often than not, a work from home human, or one that is retired would be best for her. Her new family must be a very patient, loving, caring, responsible one, who will continue with Molleys routines and needs.

Due to her previous issue, she’ll need to stay on the specific diet she’s currently on, (we will explain that to an approved applicant) NO human food at all, no exceptions. It’s what’s best for her, and we have promised her the best is yet to come! Molley gets along well with other doggies, if you have a pup at home, Molley would like to meet them first to make sure they’ll be the best of friends. She loves to play, and enjoys her leash walks early in the day when it’s cooler. She will require regular grooming, about every 6-8 weeks, with an average cost of about $ 60-100.00 each visit, so definitely keep that in mind with your budget if you’re interested in her.

Molley is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines and on her heartworm and flea prevention. Are you that special someone Molley is looking for? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application!

She hopes to meet you real soon! ? WEBSITE: www.viprescue.org

Dog names: Bailey

Dob: 7-27-14

Breed: Yorkie mix

Weight: 6 lbs

Gender: Male

House Trained: Yes

Location: Redington Beach. FL

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: unknown, 8+ patient & respectful

Color: Red and black

Cuteness Alert!

We’d like to introduce you to Bailey. He’s a 10 year young Yorkie gentleman, weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs! He and his friend Lola (a pug, see separate post) were taken by Animal Control from a home after their human passed away, and VIP Rescue stepped up to take them both into our rescue.

We originally placed them both with the same foster, and they really didn’t appear to be bonded, so we tried them with separate foster homes and they are both doing great apart! Of course, if someone is interested, they can be placed in a home together.

Bailey was very timid at first to walk on the leash, he would start out and get to the end of the front yard and then put the brakes on and you try to move a 6lb stubborn pup, LOL. The foster mom had a back up plan and scooped him up and put him in a sling for a ride along. After a few more attempts to get him to walk, each time he would go a little farther, then he got the hang of it and was eager to walk more, and now after a few weeks he is the leader, out front showing the way, for the sunrise pack walk. He loves these sniffy sunrise walks and hopes his “fur”ever humans will keep these walks up. He also loves to sun himself in the fenced back yard. Although a fenced yard is not required, he would love to have a secured area to enjoy the outdoor smells, with a shady spot to hang out in the fresh air. We would like to keep him active and out for his exercise walks, buts he’s also happy to ride along in a sling and go everywhere with you or will even tolerate (hahaha) a stroller if your are going out and it is too hot for his paws on the ground.

Bailey loves to snuggle up on a lap or a soft doggy bed for his afternoon snoozes or if his human is reading a book or watching TV, Bailey will step on, walk over and sometime sit on another pup to get to foster moms lap. He has learned this is a treasured place and you need to get there quick to get the best part of the humans lap.

Bailey will sleep in a doggy bed at night or if you allow it, he will sleep in the human bed. He sleeps up by the foster mom’s pillow in a donut bed so he does not get squished by the other pups that join in for bedtime. He is learning what toys are and knows what food is. He will need to continue with medicated baths for a while as he came in with some hair loss, no worries though, as he has already received many and his hair is growing back nicely. He will need regular grooming, please keep this expense in mind if you are considering adopting him, usually grooming expenses can be $60-100 every 6-8 weeks.

He could be your one and only dog, or if you have another dog, they will need to meet, as he does well with the other dogs in the foster home and he loves to greet all sizes and ages of dogs on our morning walks, he even flirts with a 60 lb doodle mix! A mild mannered, small, respectful dog would be considered in an existing home, but remember he is so tiny and we don’t want him to get stepped on or squished with an over active, high energy dog. As for kids, to our knowledge, he has not been around them, ages 13+ who will be respectful of his space and patient with him would be considered.

Bailey is neutered, has had a fresh dental, (16 teeth extracted) but no worries, he has enough left to gobble up his senior kibble at meal time. He is also microchipped, current on all vaccines and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

If you think this tiny guy might be for you, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Adoption Pending BUBBA / Port Orange, FL

ADOPT BUBBA / Port Orange, FL VIP Rescue: www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: Standard Poodle DOB: 01/10/2013 Sex: Male Weight: 60lbs Requires: Fenced Yard 5 foot or higher. DOGS: Likes the company of older calmer standard poodles preferably female. Cats: Not good with cats Kids: Older calm kids

IDEAL FAMIILY: Bubba is an 11 year old 60 lb Senior Standard Poodle. He is a happy boy, he is calm, cool, and collected. Bubba is a great houseguest. He does not ask for much, a soft bed, good food, a walk, rub his ears and belly, a couch to lounge on, and would love to patrol your yard. He is already trained, and will make someone an amazing companion. What more could you ask for?

Bubba is looking for a calm family where someone is home most of the time. He loves people and loves to be in their company but he is not needy. He has been used to several other standard poodles in his pack, but would do well also as an only dog with a doting human. He prefers female dogs.

Bubba Info: Even though Bubba is a senior he still l loves to patrol the yard, and play a quick short distance ball game. He doesn’t always care to bring the ball back though, ha ha! He is house and crate trained, and has very good house manners. He does not need to be crated. He is great on car rides. Bubba is affectionate, a friendly boy, very gentle, and curious about things. He will alert you and bark when someone comes to the door. He’s good being groomed, but being a senior, short sessions are encouraged.

Bubba requires frequent brushing and grooming. Grooming prices have skyrocketed, so please make sure that monthly grooming is in your budget. Bubba is recently neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, had a dental, and is current on preventatives. He has no known medical issues and his bloodwork was perfect.

Bubba comes to us from a former breeder who was no longer able to keep him due to health issues. Through no fault of his own Bubba came to VIP Rescue. Bubba is being fostered in Port Orange Florida. To meet Bubba, you will need to travel to Port Orange to meet him.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, live in a single family home, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, and be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care.

Dogs: gets along with other dogs. Needs another dog in his new home.

Cats: Unknown

Kids: older 13+ and respectful

Ideal Family: someone who is home most of the time. Franklin requires a house with other dogs. He does not like being alone.

Hello, my name is Franklin! My foster mom calls me a catdog because I rub up against her legs to show her how happy I am to see her. Or it could be because I love to snuggle, but also love to sleep by myself and because I like to sit on the back of the loveseat, like a little lord surveying his kingdom. I don’t know about this catdog business, I’m just Franklin. I love giving canine hugs, where I tuck my head under your chin and snuggle on in. I love going outside and sniffing everything. If you don’t have a fenced in yard, I’m just as happy going for walks to get my sniffle time in. I like to follow my foster siblings around to see what they are doing and join in if they are doing something fun, or getting attention!!! I love food, really love food, but I had to have several teeth pulled so I have a hard time chewing crunchies. My mom puts yummy chicken broth on my food to make it soft and I gobble it down.(she’s the bestest, right?) I will sit for treats, but they have to be small and soft so I can eat them. When mom says it’s bedtime, I run over so she can pick me up onto the bed. I love to snuggle at night with a person, another dog, a blanket, a pillow; I’m not picky! Ha! Mom is trying to get me to come to her when she calls my name, but I’m so busy sniffing, I pretend I can’t hear (hehehehe). I will come for treats though! ? In my new home, I need another dog to play with. That is very important for me to be totally happy!

I was recently neutered, updated on my vaccines, microchipped, even had a dental! I’m also current on my preventatives.(SO important!) I will require regular grooming appointments to keep me lookin’ my best for the ladies, so please factor that into your monthly budget. Typically it could run $ 60.00 and up per visit. So whatya think? Ready for me to join your family? I sure hope so. Please go to www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application for me, k? See you soon! Love and tail wags, Franklin xoxoxo ???

Standard Adoption Requirements: You must be a resident of FL., and be at least 25 years of age. This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting. Your age should be appropriate for Franklins estimated lifespan.

Fence: Fenced Yard is Required, and needs to be securely attached to a single-family home. Home:  Single family homes only at this time. No condos, townhomes, apartments or Mobile homes

Meet our two latest VIP rescues, Billi Jo and Bobbi Jo, a very bonded set of pups that will need to be adopted together. This  darling pair are spunky active little girls!  Billi Jo is 1.5-year-old 8 lb. ShihTzu mix, while Bobbi Jo is 1.5-year-old 7.5 lb. Japanese Chi mix. They are thought to be sisters bred from their Mother Betti Jo who we also have available for adoption!  They always play together, sit together, sleep together, eat together, cuddle together, well, you get the idea!    Billi Jo, Bobbi Jo, and Mom Betti Jo were all rescued from a dog hoarder / breeder and we are working on their socialization skills.  They have not had the best start in life. When this threesome arrived at VIP Rescue, they were so severely matted and likely had never been groomed in their life! They were fearful of humans, and their foster Mom has been extremely patient giving them their space and time they need to adjust to humans. They are curious pups, and like playing with the other pups in the foster home.  We are working hard on human touch and cuddles.  When they finally get tired (and they do!) their second favorite thing to do is pile up and snooze and snore together!     These girls are diligently working on house training, and they do use pee pads most of the time.  Together they love to romp around the fenced back yard and likely had never done that before either.  It’s clear they have never lived in a home, lived with humans, or been loved on. Getting them out frequently has proven to be essential to help them with their house training and social skills. Their future home must absolutely be committed to continue with their training, teaching house manners, and house rules.  Yes, they are so stinking adorable, but it’s going to take dedication and commitment from the right family. It will be so rewarding!    Due to their energy level, it’s best they go into a calm environment where patience and experience is first and foremost. An adult only home is preferred.  They are slowly learning about a collar and harness.  We are trying to advanced them to leash walks, and this is still very new and scary to them.  A single-family home with a secure fenced in yard is a must for them, sorry, no exceptions. (We have other pups available for adoption that might be better suited for your home if this isn’t the one.) They have found their voices, and they do bark when they are startled. Dog parks are not a substitute for a secure fenced yard attached to a single-family home.      Both pups are spayed, a fresh dental, microchipped, current on vaccines and are on heartworm and flea prevention.    If you think these girls might be for you and you can meet all their needs, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.   Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Thumbelina / Adoption Pending

Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org

Breed: English Bull Dog Mix

Age: currently 9 weeks – DOB 5-29-24

Sex: Female spayed

Weight: 10.2 lb currently – for an adult weight 30-50 lbs

Fenced Yard recommended

DOGS: She would like another dog to play with in her new home.

Kids: Respectful 10+

Get ready for 100% cuteness overload! We’d like you to meet little “Thumbelina”! She’s a 9 week old sweet and very active English Bulldog “mix” baby. Her original “home” was a breeder, who surrendered her for Euthanasia due to her eye not being “correct”. What a crock of crap, right? UGH…She has a little piece of skin over a tiny piece of her eye that our Vet said was absolutely no big deal and doesn’t hinder her sight in any way. Ok, enough of that. Let’s talk about this precious little girl.

She’s a pistol for sure, all full of herself and super active. She’s a very confident puppy, and her foster home is working on her harness and leash walking, a true work in progress!

She’s good with other pups her size, but boy oh boy, those little “toofers” are sharp, sharp sharp! She’s gets a hold of you, and you’re gonna know it! Her new family must be 100% committed to working on all her puppy training with her, there will be no exceptions. We are also looking for a family that has a proven track record with this breed. Everyone loves an adorable puppy, but this breed does need someone experienced. Her family should be an adult only home, or possibly a home with older kids, says 14+ might be considered. Thumbelina “Lena” as her foster Mom calls her, would like a young, active family to grow up with, one who will shower her with the love, affection, time and patience a puppy needs. A family where someone either works from home or works part time will be given preference. Work, personal and Veterinary references will be checked.

“Lena” is spayed, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and has been started on her heartworm and flea prevention. If you feel you’d be a great match for Thumbelina, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application.

Gender: Female

House Trained: yes, as long as she is let out often enough

Location: Citrus Park, FL

Fenced Yard: Recommended

Hi! My name is Mia, but my dad’s call me Cuddlebug! I am a very happy and well adjusted 5 year old Terrier mix little girl who is looking for my furever family. I like to play so it would be great if I had other dogs or cats to play with or even a human sibling in my new home.

I love to snuggle with my humans and give kisses all the time. I’m great at eating (I love my food) and am easy to give my meds to. Speaking of meds, I am heartworm positive so VIP will explain that to you at the end of my greeting. I am good going outside, if you have a fenced yard I can go on my own (with supervision of course cuz’ I’m such a wittle girl) I can walk on my leash, but I like to explore when I’m out and I’ve learned how to use pee pads like my sister dogs do, but once I get in a routine with you I should learn house training in my new home quickly.

Do you have toys at your house? I love toys! I stole my kitty brothers mouse and sister dogs dino. I’ll chase the ball and bring it back to you, but I’m not big so it has to be the small ones. Want to sleep on the couch? I’m there. Want me to sleep in your bed? I’m there! I’m down for wherever you want to nap and I’m good about sleeping through the night!

Now, about that medicine stuff……I am heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you! My friends at VIP Rescue cover ALL the costs associated with my treatment. You’ll need to live within an hour of the St Petersburg, Fl area due to my time sensitive appointments with the “dog”tor. This is very very important, can’t be late for those! During my treatment, I’ll need to hang low, very short leash walks and no zoomies for a bit. Once my treatment is completed, the “Dog”tor will let us know when it’s ok for me to resume normal doggie stuff, but not until then, k? I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I’m on my heartworm and flea prevention. I’m really hoping my “fur”ever family will come along real soon! Please keep in mind this beautiful girl will require grooming. Grooming can run from $60-125.

Please visit www.viprescue.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Kisses and tail wags, Mia xoxoxo

This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

Meet Zen! Zen is a bright boy, he is a Standard Poodle, and he aims to please you! He would love to give you his heart, his devotion, if you could give him an active home full of love, and your companionship. Zen is a male 2 years old and 55 lbs. He is looking for a fun family with plenty of treats, an abundance of cuddles, and a nice fenced yard to run and play! He is a busy boy, enjoys both physical and mental stimulation, and long walks. As you can see, Zen is simply adorable. He is energetic, and needy for your attention. He likes to play with toys, take rides in the car, and join you on your outings. He gets along with other pups, is good with children, and will be the perfect addition to your home! He knows basic commands and is good on a leash. To know Zen is to love him. He could use some work on his commands, but hey, couldn’t we all? Zen does not meet a stranger. He will be the talk of the town on your outings. He would make an excellent Walmart greeter! He is a typical Standard Poodle, needs a job, likes to work, and so very smart. How did Zen arrive at VIP Rescue you ask? His owner moved overseas and was unable to bring he and his sister Sasha with. He has been well cared for. Zen is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccines, microchipped and in perfect health. Please keep in mind these beautiful creatures require frequent brushing, regular ear cleaning, and monthly grooming. Grooming can run from $125- $200. If you work away from, more than a few hours, this is not the guy for you. He prefers you are a home body, work from home, retired? He would like another pup in the home of similar size to romp with.
