Hey there my Florida friends, I’m Roxy, a 5 year old 13 lb. pretty girl in search of her forever family. You see, I came from a “place” that has SOOOOO many doggies that no one had the time to pet, play or love on me which made me so sad all the time until VIP Rescue stepped in and brought me here! I’m staying with what they call a “foster home” who gives me lots of love and attention (yummy food too!) and I’m really loving this new life!
I really like my foster Mom, She’s the best. Wherever foster mom is, you can find me, whether in the kitchen, sitting on the couch or the bestest is bed time where I get to share “Mom’s bed! Yes!!! If there’s another dog in the home I would do best with one similar in size or I’d be fine to be your one and only.
My new home needs to be with adults only since I’m a bit of a shy girl, and a family that’s home more often than not, so If you’re retired or work from home, that’d be “paw”some cuz’ then I wouldn’t be alone too much. This “housebreaking” thing is slow going, I do try to use the tinkle pads in the house if I don’t get outside in time, but Mom is very patient and is teaching me, but since I lived outside most of my life before coming here, this is all new to me. My new family has to really understand that and continue to patiently teach me and I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue might be asked of you in the adoption process. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adopting. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, so please be kind and patient. All information provided in the Adoption application will remain confidential and not be shared outside of designated VIP Rescue Volunteers. We do contact your veterinarian, references, and verify other information provided in your application. Incomplete applications or lack of a response from your veterinarian or references will not be processed. We receive many applications for our rescue dogs and for that we are grateful. We select the most fitting applications for the dog, not necessarily the most timely adoption application.
