ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Florida resident to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Rat Terriers typically live 15-18 years, so keep that lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting Rickie. Please keep in mind your age should be appropriate for her estimated lifespan.
Look at pretty little Rickie! She’s thought to be a Rat Terrier mix and weighs in at a whopping 8.8 lbs full grown! Rickie is 1 year old and most definitely has the 1 year old puppy energy. Rickie can be very shy to start but will seek out your attention fairly quickly. She loves to cuddle and is a velcro pup once she warms up and feels comfortable with you. She loves to sleep in the human bed and/or doggy bed(s) or anywhere soft she can find. Bonus~She is already house trained! Rickie enjoys walks with her foster siblings, as she loves other pups and would do well with an established confident similar sized pup in the home. Rickie loves sunning herself in the secured fenced back yard or even the lanai if you have one! She does not like being left alone for long periods of time, so someone who works from home would be ideal for her or maybe one of our other adoptable pups might fit your lifestyle a bit better! Rickie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, microchipped and current on her flea and heartworm prevention.
