Say hello to Opal! If you’ve been waiting for a super snuggler, Opal may just be your girl! She is the absolute sweetest little girl! Opal is a healthy, happy, 8 yr old (approx.) shihtzu mix who loves everyone! She is a quiet and content girl whose favorite things include cuddles and lap time, play time (with people or other small dogs), and short walks.
Opal weighs in at about 10 lbs, with an ideal weight of 12 lbs. She is potty trained as long as she gets out every few hours or so. Opal would do fine as your one and only, but would also do well with a small furry companion. She would not do well being alone a lot as she thrives on human companionship, a work from home person or where someone is home more often than not.
Opal is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, microchipped and current on her heart worm/flea medications.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.
