ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a resident of FL. Noodles requires a 6-foot fenced yard in a single family home – no renters. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Standard Poodles typically live 12-15 years, so keep their lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting Noodles. Your age should be appropriate for his estimated lifespan. Families with older children that can manage a puppy will be considered.
ADOPT Noodles: Noodles is a very happy joyful young boy full of love and life, very affectionate, and just waiting for his new home with open paws. He is still very much a busy puppy at heart. He follows you everywhere, you will never experience loneliness after meeting Noodles. He is very smart, he knows commands, leash walking, is house-trained, and enjoys puppy play with other dogs. He loves riding in the car, and has a lot of energy to burn – no couch potatoes. Noodles would love a hiker or a jogger that likes to get out and go, and take him with. He is a lovely boy and you can take him anywhere. He is good with older children in his foster home. Noodles needs to be supervised so as not to get into things, or chew inappropriate things so we recommend crating when you leave. He is housetrained, no issues. He loves to play with other dogs, and loves some toys to keep him busy. He learns quickly, and he aims to please. Noodles is ready to begin his journey with a family of his very own that can keep up with him, entertain him, play with him often, lots of walks, and to be able to let him out frequently for potty breaks. HISTORY: Noodles came to VIP Rescue back in Nov ’22. He was found as a stray, turned into our local shelter, and was in horrific shape. He was emaciated, had pneumonia, kennel cough, and his coat was very overgrown constricting his movement. With excellent veterinary care, and a dedicated foster home, Noodles has recovered from the past, he has put it behind him, and is now a delightful boy. Noodles is now 38 lbs – his correct weight, and it has taken 4 months of care to get him to the be his best!
MEETING NOODLES: He is fostered in Tavares, FL. and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance. You will need to travel to TAVARES to meet Noodles if your application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members and pets for the introduction meeting. He has not been tested with cats. He has been fostered in a home with Standard Poodles and children.
The STANDARD POODLE BREED: Noodles is tons of fun but puppies require a lot of work and a 10 to 15 year commitment! Exercise in your fenced yard, leash walks, patience, and consistent positive reinforcement training on your family’s part will be needed for him to be the best dog he can be! Please do your homework on the Standard Poodles breed, they are not for everyone. They are high energy, have a high-prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is fenced on all 4 sides. Standard Poodles are eager to learn, they are athletic, agile, wickedly smart, and are very versatile velcro dogs. They want to be an active participant in your daily life. High quality food is essential and not cheap. Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, frequent brushing, and Noodles is no exception. Grooming ranges from $100-$200. They love being around people and are able to form bonds with each member of the family, as opposed to bonding with just one person. They also make superb watchdogs barking zealously when strangers approach the home. Poodles may look dainty and demur, but in truth, these are high-stamina dogs with a stellar range of skills, including agility, obedience, hunting and herding.
NOODLES MEDICAL: He was recently neutered, he is up to date on vaccines, preventatives, he is microchipped, and heartworm negative.
VIP RESCUE ADOPTION APPLICATIONS: VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adopting Noodles.
