Nessa is a darling terrier mix . She is thought to be 5 years old and 12 lbs. She is current on her shots , micro chipped, spayed had a dental and is being treated for heartworm disease .
Because of this we are only accepting applications for loving pet parents within easy driving range to OUR vet in Palm Harbor . It is almost a 5 month treatment plan that requires about 5 TIME AND DATE sensitive appointments . No changes once the program starts , PERIOD !There are times when you will need to limit the exercise of Nessa for the most successful results . Please carefully consider this before you apply .Please educate yourself on the disease prior to applying.
Nessa arrive after being from a hoarder situation. Sadly , many dogs who have live that sad type life are under-socialized. That doesn’t mean that they are angry or biters. It frequently means , they have not had the opportunity to gain ,skills of interacting with humans as a companion pet. Nessa arrived as a hider . Under a bed or hidden in the corner was her safe place. After spending time , in a loving foster home, as you can see in her photos , she has already become a new and improved happy girl. She still is fearful , but has gained trust and confidence to spend time , hanging with the group and the luxury of a couch !. She certainly has a way to go but progress has been made. She is great with dogs but still barks when meeting new people. Little kids are not part of her likes . Her house training skills have really improved !
