ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a resident of FL. You must live in a single family home – no renters. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Shih Tzu typically live 12-15 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting MISTER. Your age should be appropriate for his estimated lifespan.
ADOPT MISTER: MISTER is a very happy joyful 6 yr old boy full of love and life, very affectionate, and just waiting for his new home with open paws. He is still very much a puppy at heart. He follows you everywhere, you will never experience loneliness after meeting MISTER. He is very smart, he knows commands, leash walking, and is house-trained. He loves toys!! He loves riding in the car and going places. He is not happy being left alone for long periods of time and would do best with someone who is a home body. He does not like it when you leave him, but what dog does? He loves playing ball, and sitting on your lap getting petted. He likes to sleep in your bed, and snores! It is so cute! He is excellent leash walking. With other dogs, he is shy at first, and then it is play play play! He does not like to share his toys much. He knows many commands, and is ready to begin his journey with a family of his very own that can run with him, entertain him, play ball with him often, and be able to let him out every few hours for potty breaks. MISTER gets scared during storms, so you will need to give him reassurance when a storm hits. If you are ready for a bouncy intelligent boy, look no further. He will be a dedicated devoted companion to the end……….
MEETING MISTER: MISTER is fostered in Redington Beach, FL. and will be adopted to a home within a reasonable distance. You will need to travel to Redington Beach to meet MISTER if your application is approved. You will need to bring all your family members and pets for the introduction meeting. He has not been tested with cats. He has been fostered in a home with other dogs and was fine.
MISTER requires frequent grooming and brushing.
MISTER HISTORY: MISTER was surrendered by his owner to VIP Rescue. He was very loved, and well taken care of but his owner needed to find a more active better suited home for MISTER.
MISTER MEDICAL: MISTER is neutered, just had a dental, is current on vaccines. He is microchipped, and heartworm negative. He comes with his harness, a collar, and leash.
VIP RESCUE ADOPTION APPLICATIONS: VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adopting MISTER.
