Do you want to be my Valentine?

I’m Linus, a 6 year old 6.5 lb. Chihuahua mix who just might have a little Italian greyhound in there somewhere (hence the long legs).

ISO someone to rub my ears and who has the perfect lap for couch cuddles. I am a fashionsita in my cute sweaters, enjoy leash walking, and do a little yoga pose when I go potty.  My perfect match is a very patient adult willing to show me as much love as I have to give.

You see, I came from a “place” that had SOOOOO many doggies that no one had the time to pet, play or love on me which made me so sad all the time until VIP Rescue stepped in and brought me here! I’m staying with what they call a “foster family” who gives me lots of love and attention (yummy food too!) and I’m really loving this new life!

I really like my foster siblings and would do great with another pup in the house. I also like to be close to my foster mom following her to the kitchen, the couch, or keeping her company while gardening.

Foster mom thinks I would be ok to be on my own, but maybe, just maybe you might consider two of us (I have a best bud named Leroy). If not, it’s totally ok, he’ll be just fine like I will be.

My new home should probably be with adults only with comfortable laps, and you will need to be patient with me as I’m learning all things dog. I would love a family that’s home more often than not, so if you’re retired or work from home, that’d be “paw”some cuz’ then I wouldn’t be alone too much. This “housebreaking” thing is slow going (since I lived in a crate most of my life before coming here) but it’s getting better every day. My new family has to understand that and continue to patiently teach me and I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it.

I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, had a dental too, and am microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention. If you’d like to meet me, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to me you soon!

Original Post

Hey there friends, I’m Linus, a 6 year old 6.5 lb. Chihuahua mix boy who just might have a little Italian greyhound in there somewhere (hence the long legs) I’m in search of the perfect lap to cuddle on and a very patient human that can show me as much love as I have to give. I really like my foster siblings, and especially one of the pups I came in with, Leroy (he is really scared and he is calmer when I am around). My foster Mom? She’s the bestest! Wherever foster mom is, you can find me, (Leroy too!) whether in the kitchen, sitting on the couch or the bestest is bed time where I get to share “Mom’s bed”! During the daytime I do hang out in any one of the doggie beds with my best bud Leroy or one of the other pups that happen to be up for a little cuddle, or if I bat my eyes and get in my foster moms lap, I will curl up and give her all my lovin’. Foster mom thinks I would be ok to be on my own, but maybe, just maybe you might consider two of us, ya know, me and my best bud Leroy…Wouldn’t that be “pawsome”? If not, it’s totally ok, he’ll be just fine like I will be.

My new family has to understand that and continue to patiently teach me and I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. I do love to explore the fenced yard at my foster home. If you have a fenced yard that is a bonus for me. I am working really hard on leash walking, again, it’s all new to me! Mom giggles sometimes as I prance around on the walks looking at all that life has to offer. Oh, it’s so nice….ahhhhhh…..

VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog.  A home visit by VIP Rescue might be asked of you in the adoption process.  Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adopting. Please visitwww.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application and to also see the many other wonderful pets in our Rescue waiting for their “fur”ever home.  All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, so please be kind and patient.  All information provided in the Adoption application will remain confidential and not be shared outside of designated VIP Rescue Volunteers. We do contact your veterinarian, references, and verify other information provided in your application.  Incomplete applications or lack of a response from your veterinarian or references will not be processed.  We receive many applications for our rescue dogs and for that we are grateful.  We select the most fitting applications for the dog, not necessarily the most timely adoption application.
