Hello, hello, hello!!!! I’m Leroy, a shy and scared little chihuahua guy, who is 6 years old and just 10.5 lb. I’m in search of a patient family that can show me tons of love and offer a quiet home, maybe with another pup to show me all the things life has to offer that I’ve NEVER had before. I too, like my best bud Linus, came from a “place” that had SOOOOO many doggies that no one had the time to pet, play or love on me either which made me so sad and a little scared too. All that changed when VIP Rescue stepped in and brought me to to one of their foster homes. I’m in a foster home that gives me lots of love and attention (yummy food too!)

I really like one of the pups I came in with, Linus (he is a happy pup and I’m calmer when I am around him and he is helping me learn what love is and to appreciate pets and cuddles that foster Mom gives us). She’s the best. Wherever foster mom is, you can find me, whether in the kitchen, sitting on the couch or if Linus is in foster moms lap I try to get on her lap too. My foster mom thinks I should have another confident pup in my new home, or if you would consider two of us, I would love to have Linus come live with me in my new home! That would be so great, but if not, it’s totally ok, I’ll be fine as long you have all the time in the world to love on me!

My new home should probably be with adults only, and you will need to be patient with me as I’m learning all things dog. I would love a family that’s home more often than not, so If you’re retired or work from home, that’d be “paw”some cuz’ then I wouldn’t be alone too much. This “housebreaking” thing is slow going, Mom is very patient and is teaching me, but since I lived in a crate MOST of my life before coming here, this is all new to me. My new family has to understand that and continue to patiently teach me and I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. I do love to explore the fenced yard at my foster home. If you have a fenced yard that is a bonus for me. I am working really hard on leash walks, I do enjoy all the beautiful things around me. Ahhhhh….a dogs life without a cage….YES!

I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, had a dental, I’m microchipped and am current on my heartworm and flea prevention. If you’d like to meet me, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you soon!

VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog.  A home visit by VIP Rescue might be asked of you in the adoption process.  Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adopting. Please visitwww.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application and to also see the many other wonderful pets in our Rescue waiting for their “fur”ever home.  All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, so please be kind and patient.  All information provided in the Adoption application will remain confidential and not be shared outside of designated VIP Rescue Volunteers. We do contact your veterinarian, references, and verify other information provided in your application.  Incomplete applications or lack of a response from your veterinarian or references will not be processed.  We receive many applications for our rescue dogs and for that we are grateful.  We select the most fitting applications for the dog, not necessarily the most timely adoption application.
