Meet Lady, a sweet and kind-hearted Labradoodle at VIP Rescue. Lady is a delight, she loves all people, all dogs, and a sweetheart to have around. She is on the hunt for a new home with a willing heart that spoils seniors. Lady is an easy addition to a loving home that can let her out frequently to do her business, and one that will shower her with love and attention when she is not napping. She loves being outside and trotting along at her pace. Lady is a kind and gentle soul that is certain to wiggle her way into your heart and home. She eats eagerly, and loves to spend time with you cooking and eating in the kitchen. Lady actively seeks your attention and she aims to please. She is smart girl, she is housetrained, however, when she moves to a new home, it may take special attention in the first few weeks to get her familiar with the area and routine when / where you want her to go. She loves being brushed and was good for the groomer. She does not appear to shed. Lady gets along well with other dogs, she enjoys her people and their visitors, and is a social girl. At her age, she takes a lot of naps, so you will have lots of snuggle time with Lady. Car rides and walks make her happy!
Lady’s owner passed away, and Lady found herself abandoned at 14 years old. She has adjusted well in her foster home, she has had a wellness visit at the vet, and is in great condition for a 14-year-old at about 50 lbs. Lady is current on her vaccinations, preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Her recent bloodwork looks great. As with any 14-year-old, she does have some diminished sight / hearing, a few lumps and bumps, needs assistance getting in and out of vehicles, and has some hip / rear leg arthritis. But, Lady certainly can navigate to wherever she wants to go and play with other dogs, cuddle, go on car rides, and take walks with you.
Lady is fostered in Leesburg, Florida. A home visit is a pre-requisite to be approved for adoption. A fenced yard with grass to trot is recommended for Lady and she also walks well on a leash. Grooming is required every 4-8 weeks.
To adopt Lady, you must complete an adoption application. If your application is approved for Lady, a VIP Rescue Volunteer will do a home visit at your residence prior to adoption. To meet and to adopt Lady, you will need to travel to Leesburg, FL. We adopt to Florida residents only.
