Hi, my name is Harold, (but you can call me Harry) I’m a 5 year old shih tzu/mini poodle mix boy who weighs about 20lbs. I may bark when we first meet, but actually it’s “hello” in doggie talk, and if you gently give me a treat at first meet we will be great friends very quickly!
Foster mom says I’m a big fluff ball (I feel like a big stuffie!!!!) and have a thick beautiful black coat, but the dogter said I’m just a little too fluffy so treats are a limited deal around here right now. Even with all his “fluff” I don’t shed, but please remember, I’ll need regular grooming to keep me handsome and healthy!
I get along great with other dogs, I like meeting humans, (as long as they give me a “tiny” treat) and foster mom has introduced me to many dogs and I love everyone that respects my space, both in rest and play mode. I share beds and toys nicely too. I would do fine in a home with an already established small to medium sized socialized dog. I could also do well as an only dog, so long as I am your primary significant other.
Foster mom says I am excellent on leash, and she often walks me in pack walks with 1-2 other friends and I don’t mind matching my pace with others. I love being outside! I would love a single family home with a secure fenced in area for me to run, play and sniff in, that would be so “paw” some!
I LOVE taking rides in the golf cart with foster Mom, it so much fun and she says I am an amazing passenger! She thinks that maybe before I got here I had experienced “motoring” in my previous life. I don’t know about kids in the home, if you have some, they definitely need to be older, ( I’d have to meet them) and no littles in the house for me! Oh, and please no kitty cats, ok? I’m so ready to find a forever home, might that be you? I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention too.
