VIP Rescue has a Female Standard Poodle Puppy for adoption to FL and GA Residents. They were born 5.5.2022. They are very sweet pups, have not met a stranger, and get along with other dogs in the home. She is apricot in color. She is fostered in Fernandina Beach, FL. and will be adopted to homes within a reasonable distance of Fernandina Beach. Standard Poodles are high energy, have a high-prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is fenced on all 4 sides with a minimum 6-foot fence. No exceptions. Puppies are not recommended if you have small children…….
These are very smart pups. These Standards are eager to learn, they are athletic, wickedly smart, and are very versatile dogs. They long to sit in your lap and will gladly give kisses! They have not met a stranger, and we are working on the leash walking and potty-training. These pups came to VIP Rescue as a result of an impending divorce. They have had one session with a groomer. The Puppies have age appropriate vaccines, are microchipped, have been dewormed, and are on preventatives. Their weights at intake were between 15lbs to 19lbs.
So, do you think you want a puppy? Well, you are at the right place! If you are ready for a bouncy intelligent high-energy puppy, one of these sweet pups might be right for you!!!! They are ready to begin their journey with a family of their very own that can run with them, play with them, and share their lap with them. Puppies are tons of fun but they do require ALOT of work, exercise in a yard, leash walks, patience, and consistent training on your family’s part to be the best pup they can be! They need structured training especially for housebreaking! Their little bladders can’t hold it all day so please make sure you are up to the task and are home to let them out every few hours. If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle! Standard Poodles typically live 12-15 years, so keep their lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting one of these girls. Your age should be appropriate for the puppies estimated lifespan.
These puppies are people dogs, velcro dogs, and do not do well when left alone or unattended for long periods. Obedience training for the puppy is highly recommended at an early age for this extremely intelligent breed of dog. High quality food is essential for their growth and development. At present they are eating FROMM Puppy.

Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, frequent brushing, and these puppies are no exception. Grooming ranges from $100-$200. Poodles are generally active and agile. They are happiest with daily walks and lots of outdoor play and exercise. Without enough attention and activity, they can get bored, agitated, restless and sometimes destructive. Also, if you can give your Poodle the opportunity to frolic in water, by all means do and start at an early age. Poodles do not like to be left alone for hours on end. They love being around people and are able to form bonds with each member of the family, as opposed to bonding with just one person. They also make superb watchdogs barking zealously when strangers approach the home. Poodles may look dainty and demur, but in truth, these are high-stamina dogs with a stellar range of skills, including agility, obedience, hunting and herding.
VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process of these pups. After you submit your application, you should also call your Veterinarian’s office and give them your permission for VIP Rescue to speak with them to gather the necessary information to process your application. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for these puppies.
