Hi there, I’m Captain Jack, (CJ for short) I’m a sweet, happy, 10 years young itty bitty guy weighing in at a whopping 5.9 lbs! I’m said to be Pomeranian mixed maybe some chihuahua????  Does it really matter? Cause, you know, I’m just THAT CUTE!  I might be the cutest thing you see today!!! I was adopted from VIP Rescue last year, but sadly, due to my humans compromised health, they wanted what was best for me, so I had to come back here to look for another family to love me as much as my previous one did.

I am always smiling, check out my photos attached. I look at my foster mom so lovingly (not in a I’m hungry feed me kind of way) but I do love food (and my foster Mommy more…shhhh…don’t tell her, k?

I love my walks, I might even prance a little when I walk. I’m quite happy to hang out on a doggy bed or cuddle up next to you on the couch or chair, I don’t take up much room so you might not even notice that I’m in your lap because I am so itty bitty small! I love sunning myself in the yard when it’s cool outside (with you right there with me of course).    I know to go outside to do my business.  I will come when you call with a happy prance, smile and tail wag. I will require regular brushing, baths and grooming. (see photos when I had long hair but I currently have a short cut which I REALLY like)  Please take into consideration the time and money it takes for my care to keep up with my handsomeness. I get along with my foster siblings, maybe too much for one of the girly dogs. Ha!  (She’s such a pretty little thing) but I really need to be your one and only, and I would love an active family, someone who will take me on sniffy walks (early morning or evening time when it’s not too hot out) and get me out for my business or to see all the neighbors. Don’t let my age fool you, I plan on hanging out for several more years.

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines, had a dental, am microchipped and current on my flea and heartworm prevention.

If you think you might be the family for me, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-20 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.

All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue.
