Hey there, my name is Cheech, my foster mom calls me CheeChee I’m a 1 year old, 13lb Chihuahua mix/with maybe a little speedy Gonzales in me. I’m the happiest boy, I smiles all the time. I’ve been in Florida for about a week now, and boy, do I love hanging outside! I loves the sun, I loves the walks, I loves the backyard, I loves the toys and I loves life.

I loves Humans, and pups. I’m a bit of an attention hog. You don’t need to look far to find me, I’ll be on your lap, around your neck on the couch or a chair, i’ll be on my dog bed at your feet or on your(our) human bed when I see you get ready for bed. I am crate trained but I prefer to be out and about.

I’m a good boy who is working on house manners, it may take a day or two for me to get my new people in a routine with house manners. If you take me out frequently I will do my business outside. As for walks, I loves sniffy walks and yep you guesses it..… I will leave a little something anywhere and everywhere we go, so the next pup has sniffly walks too. I’m learning I don’t need to stop at every plant, shrub or mailbox. But it is oh so tempting. Ha! I’ll need help to keep a movin’ so we are not out for hours. If it’s up to me… I could walk forever. I would probably do ok with kids, they probably should be a bit older, 10+ years, if you have them, ok?

I’m Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention, so I’m ready to go! If you are ready for an active CheeChee. Please fill out an application at www.viprescue.org

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must be a resident of FL. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Chihuahua’s typically live 12-15 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting him. Your age should be appropriate for his estimated lifespan.

VIP RESCUE ADOPTION APPLICATIONS: VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for adoption. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application and to also see the many other wonderful pets in our Rescue waiting for their “fur”ever home. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, so please be kind and patient. All information provided in the Adoption application will remain confidential and not be shared outside of designated VIP Rescue Volunteers. We do contact your veterinarian, references, and other information based on the information provided in your application. Incomplete applications or lack of a response from your veterinarian or references will not be processed. We receive many applications for our rescue dogs and for that we are grateful. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the most timely adoption application. Thank you for thinking rescue!
