Champ is a very handsome calm 54 lb loving sable doodle, at 5 years old. Champ and his sister Lady (see additional post for Lady coming soon) are looking for a new home, as their owner did not have the time, space, or funds to care for them and they were living outside. Champ is a lovely houseguest, is housetrained, chill, and gets along best with dogs of similiar size and age or older. Champ needs a dog for companionship in his new home, and preferably not a puppy with high energy. Champ gets along with calm dogs. Champ adores his people, and will be your best friend and is gentle! He loves to run, romp, and play outside. He does not know a stranger. Champ was not leash walked in his prior home, so leash training will be a must. Champ is good for grooming, he loves to eat, and likes to cuddle. He sleeps on the floor at his foster home. He would make an excellent Walmart greeter! Champ is fostered in Myakka City, FL. To meet Champ, you will need to travel to Myakka City with your pets.

He will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. He may cry when you leave him. Champ is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, current on preventatives, and heartworm negative. He is a healthy happy boy. He will make a great new addition to the right family. A fenced yard is required for Champ to run and play at your home. Champ requires frequent grooming. Please take this recurring cost into your decision if you want to adopt Champ.

Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, live in a single family home, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, and be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 12-15 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan. Our rescue dogs are not good candidates to be service dogs. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. A home visit is a prerequisite prior to adopting. Preference will be given to those familiar with the breed. Please submit an Adoption Application form if you would like more info on Champ.
