Hi there, I’m Berg, a 1yr old 15 lbs, happy Terrier/Schnauzer mix pup! My foster-mom says I’m the greatest dog ever! My perfect fur-ever home is full of love, cuddles, and treats. I love to be around my humans, following them around looking for love, cuddles, and treats. Like the Burg, this Berg is a foodie – be it a good kibble, a sturdy chew toy, or treats by the door or when I’ve been the goodest boy. I am potty and crate trained. I enjoy short leash walks around the block. I would do best in a home where “my” people are home more often than not. I have so much love that I would also prefer to be your one and only pup, as I want all the attention but…. If you have a submissive pup, I’m up for a meet and greet and see how we do. I am smart and curious. And did I mention I am still full of puppy energy? I am playful, agile, and strong. I’m very smart and treat focused so I’d love to find someone who has patience to train me to be the bestest boy (I’m mostly there to be honest). I’m FULL of puppy energy – but for the next month my activity needs to be limited. I was heartworm positive when I came to VIP Rescue from a rural shelter, but I have finished the treatment and feeling better every day. I’ll need to take it slow for a while, no long walks, jumping, or romping/zoomies in the yard until my “dog”ter tells us it’s ok. My VIP friends will explain everything in detail to you. I have a combo wire and hair coat, I do shed a little, but please know I will require grooming every so often, so keep this in mind when you are considering me for adoption. The cost can vary anywhere from $60.00 and up every 2-3 months. I am microchipped, current on my vaccines, I have been neutered and am on heart worm and flea prevention. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 13-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.
