VIP Rescue has a Female Standard Poodle Puppy for adoption to FL and GA residents. She was born 5.5.2022. She is a sweet independent puppy, has not met a stranger, and loves to play with the other dogs in the foster home. She is apricot in color. She is fostered in Fernandina Beach, FL. and will be adopted to homes within a reasonable distance of Fernandina Beach. Standard Poodles are high energy, have a high-prey drive, and require a grassy yard to exercise in that is fenced on all 4 sides with a minimum 6-foot fence. No exeptions. We do not recommend puppies to homes with small children.
She is eager to learn, she is athletic, wickedly smart, and a very versatile dog. She likes to sit in your lap and will gladly give kisses! We are working on the leash walking and potty-training. She and some of her littermates came to VIP Rescue as a result of an impending divorce.
She has had two grooming sessions and did well. She has all her puppy vaccines, is microchipped, negative fecal, and on preventatives. She weighs in at 23 lbs.

She is ready to begin her journey with a family of her very own that can run with her, walk her, play games with her, and share their laps with her. Puppies are tons of fun but they do require ALOT of work, exercise in a yard, leash walks, patience, and consistent training on your family’s part to be the best pup they can be! They need structured training especially for housebreaking! Their little bladders can’t hold it all day so please make sure you are up to the task and are home to let them out every few hours. If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle! Standard Poodles typically live 12-15 years, so keep their lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting one of these girls. Your age should be appropriate for the puppies estimated lifespan.
These puppies are people dogs, velcro dogs, and do not do well when left alone or unattended for long periods. Obedience training for the puppy is highly recommended at an early age for this extremely intelligent breed of dog. High quality food is essential for their growth and development. At present they are eating FROMM Puppy.

Standard Poodles require monthly grooming, frequent brushing, and these puppies are no exception. Grooming ranges from $100-$200.
Poodles are generally active and agile. They are happiest with daily walks and lots of outdoor play and exercise. Without enough attention and activity, they can get bored, agitated, restless and sometimes destructive. Also, if you can give your Poodle the opportunity to frolic in water, by all means do and start at an early age. Poodles do not like to be left alone for hours on end. They love being around people and are able to form bonds with each member of the family, as opposed to bonding with just one person. They also make superb watchdogs barking zealously when strangers approach the home. Poodles may look dainty and demur, but in truth, these are high-stamina dogs with a stellar range of skills, including agility, obedience, hunting and herding.
VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs’ specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. A home visit by VIP Rescue at your home is a pre-requisite in the adoption process of these pups. After you submit your application, you should also call your Veterinarian’s office and give them your permission for VIP Rescue to speak with them to gather the necessary information to process your application. Our Volunteers will be in touch with those that meet the criteria for these puppies.
