Meet Winnie, a sweet, 10 year old Coton de Tulear. Winnie has lived most of her years in a puppy mill and sadly never received the love and attention from humans that all dogs deserve! For the past 2-1/2 years she has been in a private home and was surrendered due to no fault of her own. Sadly, sometimes life just happens.
Winnie can be very timid around new people and surroundings but will slowly come around if allowed to progress at her own pace. Her former owner says she loves to snuggle in blankets and clothes, and will sometimes want to be picked up to enjoy some petting. She walks well wearing a harness and enjoys car rides and going to the groomer. She’s fine with small dogs (and cats), but might also enjoy being an only dog so that she could have all of the attention. An adult only home is recommended.
Winnie had a recent dental and was only able to keep a few of her teeth so she may need a diet of soft food. She is accustomed to having access to a doggy door and will go outside to do her business if there is one. She is also an escape artist and needs a home with a VERY SECURE FENCED YARD.
Winnie is up to date on vaccines, spayed, micro-chipped, and on heart worm/flea preventative. Please complete an application to welcome this deserving girl into your heart and home.
