He is some sort of terrier mix, that just wants to be busy and playing. He is current on his shots, micro chipped, neutered and is being treated for heartworm. .He has not yet figured out the house training thing, but he is very smart , so that will happen soon.
He is a little timid to meet, but once you prove you are trust worthy, he is right at your side !. He requires toys, toys and someone to throw the toys .
Since he is being treated for heartworm disease, we will only process applications , for his future family that live less than an hour from our vet in Palm Harbor.You will have to get him to his appointments on the days they are scheduled. You need to get him there on those days, not the day before , not the day after … on the scheduled dates .There are 3 time sensitive appointment dates .

Bradley Cooper is a handsome 10 years young , 15 lb Dachshund Mix.
Secretly at the shelter , he confessed, he always wanted to be poodle-ish , and with the obvious neglect he had recently endured , we could not leave him behind !!

I’M NOT DONE YET !
Tuffy is the poster child for determination and longevity . His first few days in rescue, was the wait and see time. He simply said I’m not done yet !.
He was very frail, and , yes, he still is. However,he is much improved, since he has gained almost put on half of a pound.We had to wait to do a dental , because of his weight , He had a mouthful of extremely rotten teeth that now have been extracted.
This little double digit dynamo now eats like a little piglet now, is housetrained (He chirps to let you know it is time ), sleeps through the night and is an A+ cuddler.
He is neutered , current on shots and heartworm negative. Also blind

Cirrus was advertised on Craigs list as a Yorkie male, free. A VIP rescue representative called me and asked it I could help with him for a few days until she was able to take over. I picked up Cirrus at Tampa Bay Aviation and brought him home. Owner acknowledged that he had some vision issues but brought all of his vet records from his purchase at a pet store over 7 years ago.He does have vision issues so stairs and pool need to be off limits
He is an adorable 12 lb ,7 1/2 year old yorkie , sadly vision impaired . He is current on his shots, neutered, micro chipped and on heart worm prevention.VIP Rescue had the 2 lb mass removed, and he now has made a remarkable recovery.
Cirrus is Mr Personality ! and simply a pleasure to be around. He is housetrained,good on a leash,loves, humans and other dogs and is a velcro companion. He would love to be your buddy ! He enjoys car rides and is crate trained.
He is a small dog with a big dog personality. He does not whine, yap or demand attention. He sleeps thru the night after a 7 to 8 pm short walk.

I came to VIP Rescue almost starved to death. No one really knows why I was so neglected and my rescue angels didn’t care. They got me to the vet, started giving me good food and lots of love. I’ve had my dental and all the rotten teeth removed, now the rest of them are pearly white. I’m up to date on shots,on heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. I’m mostly housebroken. I still have some healing to do with my coat and getting some weight on me, I weigh a whopping 4.7 lbs right now and will probably top out at 5-6 lbs. I’m very sweet and loving. I get along great with dogs and all people. I don’t hear very well, but I really don’t need to because I’ll stick right by your side always. I would love to just be someone’s adored little pup. My name is Demi and thought to be a schnauzer/Havanese mix. I am 3 years old and 13 lbs. I came from a hoarder situation and my background is unknown. My foster dads think I must have been locked up in my cage all day because I am very timid and scared of loud noises and movement. However, once I’ve warmed up to you, I will be the best snuggle buddy you’ve ever had. I love sitting next to my daddy on the couch and I especially love sleeping on him. I get along well with my foster sisters and I really didn’t have any interest in the cat. I take a while to get to feel comfortable with you and I still have to go to my safe spot in order to be picked up, but once I’ve made it there, I am a lover and licker. I think I want my adopter parent(s) to have a lot of time and patience to train me. If you are retired or work from home so I can be by your side all day, that would be best. I don’t want to play with any children or little kids. I also don’t know what walking on a leash is. When my daddy takes me for a walk, I just stand there staring at him. I am being trained on my puppy pads and usually do fairly well, but it’s still a work in progress.
If you are looking for a little girl who wants to please you and be your best friend, please put in to adopt me. Due to my background I will take some time to get adjusted to you and my new home, but I know based on my progress in the two weeks that I have been with my foster dads that I will be happy to work trying to make you happy too.

This delightfully sweet 1 year old 12lb. Schnauzer mix is Delilah. She came into rescue with her siblings and parents from a hoarder situation. She can be quite shy and timid when she first meets you, quick movements startle her, but does warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. Delilah lives with 2 doggie and 2 kitty foster siblings, she can be a little frisky with the kitties, but adores the other dogs and plays very nicely with them. She enjoys being petted , and likes to give tons of kisses. She has made great strides in her foster home and would love a patient and loving family that will continue to work with her building her confidence, and ideally will have another well behaved and socialized dog in the home to continue to help her learn her doggie manners. Delilah LOVES playing ball in the yard, and is quite the athlete when it comes to “running” in the yard. She is doing great with her crate training, is working very hard on her house breaking skills, and is also doing wonderful with leash training! Delilah is perhaps one of the sweetest pups we have fostered, I truly think her goal in life is to love and please her humans unconditionally. She really enjoys human attention and cuddle time either on your lap or next to you while you watch some TV. This little girl had such a rough start in life, and has so much love to give. We do recommend she go to an adult home with a fenced yard so she can continue to her favorite game of chasing the tennis ball!
