Buddy/Indian Rocks Beach

Meet Buddy, an 8 year old, 13 lb male Shih Tzu/Maltese mix looking for his forever home.

Simply put, Buddy is absolutely precious. Mild mannered, laid back and chill, but he also thoroughly enjoys activities and adventures! He is social, gentle natured, easy going, cuddly, soft and fluffy!! His name honestly could not fit him any better! He is a devoted friend and seeks a lifelong human companion.

Buddy is very well socialized and gets along with other dogs. Buddy would do fine in an only dog home; however, if you have a dog, a meet and greet will be required to assess compatibility. Buddy prefers his dog companions to be similar in temperament and personality as he is – respectful and calm. He is also good with respectful, dog socialized kids. Cats are unknown, but given his temperament, Buddy would likely be fine with a household cat.

Buddy is house broken. He walks very well on leash and is used to multiple walks a day. He would like his companion to continue to take him on explorations and adventures. Buddy travels well in a car. He enjoys bicycling as well, he even has basket riding experience!

Buddy has just had a nice fresh dental. He is neutered and microchipped, updated on his vaccinations and is current on his monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Does Buddy sound like a good match for you? If so, please apply today at VIPRescue.org

Angus/Redington Beach

Hello Rescue World! My name is Angus, and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a 8 year old 24 lb. “purebred lap/cuddle bug” pupper! I’ve been told that I’m a great boy, and I’m looking for an active home, especially one that likes to take walks, because you see, I could stand to  lose a few pounds, you know what I mean? I am on a reduced fat diet, so hopefully with that and my walks, I’ll be slim and trim in no time. I do enjoy leisurely walks, but I must be honest…I will stop and sniff every blade of grass, every mailbox post, every weed, you get the picture, right? My new family can teach me how to walk without stopping every 2 seconds to “smell the roses” Ha! I really would love a yard so I can chase the lizards, squirrels etc. I won’t hurt them, I just LOVE the chase! So, with that being said, foster Mom thinks my new home should not have any of those “kitties”, ok? I do well with other doggies, even though I’ve always been the “only child” most of my life. It does take me a little while to warm up, so an adult only home is definitely my preference. I just need them to be patient with me and give me time to adjust to my new home. So friends, what do you think? Maybe you’re looking for that special cuddle bug? Well, here I am! I’m already neutered, current on my vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Please submit your application to www.viprescue.org

Enzo/Venice ADOPTION PENDING

Meet ENZO, the Ferrari Fast Pup!  Enzo is an 18-month-old puppy; an apricot Schnoodle weighing in at 16lbs. born 8.1.2020.  Are you looking for an Agility Prospect?  Could this be your man?  Enzo is a very loving but strong-willed puppy.  He responds positively to kindness, love, and consistent firm guidance.  His new owner must be firm and patient; pushovers need not apply.  He loves people, he is a social dog, and would like to be your companion from sunrise to sundown.  He loves discovering new people, places, and things. He is accustomed to being crated when left home alone but Enzo prefers to accompany you wherever you go.  When it’s time to go to bed, after a full day of play, he happily retreats to his crate in your bedroom.   He enjoys dining out with you, going on boat rides, frequenting dog-friendly venues, and romping with dogs his own size.  He is accustomed to being crated while riding in the car to your destination and on road trips.  Enzo loves to cuddle at home while you are watching a movie and chilling.  He loves neck and chin rubs, belly rubs, and to give hugs. Enzo is a submissive dog, and does well with dogs that do not take advantage of him because of their size. He should not be around dogs that play aggressively.  He would be agreeable to a fun playmate of like energy that will join in running or chasing, or he would also do well being an only dog in your home.

Enzo’s Routine:  Enzo is accustomed to daily romps at his playground.  Enzo loves to play ball and requires a fenced yard.   For safety, Enzo should be supervised when outside so he doesn’t try to dig, dine on geckos or other critters, or get carried away by a predator.  Enzo knows that backyards are for playing whether it be for agility training, running with his buddies, or playing ball.  Enzo loves to be in the middle of the action. He’s even learning to catch a ball in the air and bring it back.  Enzo is not a pool dog, and should never be left unaccompanied by a pool.  He enjoys daily leash walks and if you like jogging, that could be a bonus!  Enzo needs  to be groomed every 6-8 weeks, frequent ear cleaning, frequent tooth brushing, and daily brushing.

Enzo’s Training:  Enzo has passed Obedience Training, and two Agility Courses where he was a Rockstar.  We recommend continuing training for his new home because Enzo is a puppy and still learning.  Close supervision in the house is also essential since he is a thief and will get into things – typical puppy behavior!  Enzo is very fast, aka Enzo Ferrari, and loves to be chased and can outrun most dogs, leading the pack while getting very excited and vocal to entertain you.  Enzo is very smart and is crate trained, house trained, and fantastic walking on a leash.  Enzo is not a destructive dog, but he will steal Kleenex’s you leave accessible, so shame on you if that happens!   Enzo has learned many words and commands; he learns quickly as he is so smart!

Additional Training Needed:  Enzo knows the COME command, however, it needs more work and if you allow him in a non-fenced area……he will run……he will not come.   Enzo is still in training for resource guarding, and an owner who is experienced in this area would be best. Enzo has not guarded his own food or his toys – just items he finds and steals.  He does not allow you to take them away without trading for high value treats!  It is possible to manage Enzo’s resource guarding by keeping him away from dangerous items he can pick up, offering him high value treats in “trade”, as well as teaching him to drop foreign objects in his mouth that may harm him, using positive reinforcement. It may be necessary for you to seek additional help from a behavioral consultant.  We highly recommend continued professional training for all our rescue dogs.

ENZO’S WISH LIST FOR HIS NEW HOME:

-Continue his current Diet:  Small Batch Dog Chicken and Zignature Pork, all Grain free.

-Training:  Continue training on “Come “to be reliable inside and outside, and “Drop It” to manage resource guarding and safely remove foreign objects from his mouth.

-An experienced handler looking for an agility partner.

-Experienced with managing resource guarding and training a strong-willed dog; able to show you are in charge – but kind and patient.

-Are you home most of the time?  Are you willing to take Enzo with you when you go boating, out to eat, or to pet-friendly venues?

-Enjoy walking, running, and exercising Enzo frequently with both mental and physical stimulation?

-Will you accompany Enzo in your fenced back yard at all times?

-Provide frequent grooming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing?

-Are you ready for a puppy and have time to devote to a puppy?

-No children under 12 in your home?

-No other dogs would be great, but one other dog that plays well with others would be agreeable to Enzo? .

WHY IS ENZO BEING REHOMED?  Enzo’s owner has health conditions that are not conducive to keeping Enzo.  Enzo has had the highest quality of care, his owner has been exemplary in training, grooming, diet, and all aspects of his life.  His owner is fostering him for VIP Rescue so that all the training he has received, and his routine are passed along to the new owner first hand.

WHERE IS ENZO:  Enzo is being fostered in Venice, Florida.  If your Adoption Application is approved, you will be required to travel to Venice, FL if you choose to meet him.  A home visit is a prerequisite before adopting Enzo.

ENZO’s Diet:  Enzo has some food sensitivities. Several foods have been tried to determine the best food for Enzo.  You need to commit to continue feeding his current foods:

ENZO MEDICAL:  Enzo is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and preventatives.  He is microchipped.  Enzo is a healthy puppy.

APPLY for ENZO:  If you have read and can provide Enzo’s Wish List for his new home, please fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION at www.viprescue.org   We adopt to Florida residents only. Once we receive your adoption application, we will contact you if you are approved for Enzo.

ENZO’s ADOPTION DONATION:   Enzo comes with his crate, some flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, leash, collar, and microchip.  Enzo’s adoption donation is $450.

Lillian/Maderia Beach

Hello friends, my name is Lillian and I am the sweetest, loving little, 14 lbs, four-year-old girl. I am spayed, micro chipped and up to date on all my vaccines. I’ve also started monthly heartworm / flea prevention. I get along well with my foster sister and have met new friends on my walks in my foster mom and dad‘s neighborhood.  They aren’t sure if I even have a barker because I’m quiet as a mouse.  I’m great on a leash, I’m crate trained and I go potty outside.   If you want a perfect sleeping partner then I’m your new family member. I will crawl under the covers and snuggle up to keep your feet warm and these cold nights. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. Hope to see you soon. viprescue.org

Laine and Rose – BONDED / Tavares, FL

Friends, we’d like to re-introduce Laine and Rose to you. ( their original story is below this update)

The girls originally came to us as a bonded pair back in June of 2021, both very shy and timid. After 4+ months of TLC in their foster home(s) these amazing girls were adopted into a loving home, but sadly, due to personal issues with the adopter and no fault of their own, they are now back with VIP Rescue. They are still very much bonded to each other, with Laine being the more outgoing of the two, and Rose more reserved. The girls are so loving, and all they ask for is a new family to share their love with. We understand not alot of people want to adopt 2 dogs at once, but we know deep down in our hearts, there’s a home out there for the both of them! If you are interested and have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via email. Until that “fur” home comes along, we’ll continue to love on them and help them to flourish. Please feel free to share this post far and wide, the power of Social Media is amazing!

Well hello there! Think you’re seeing double? No need to have your eyes checked, because yes, there are two of us lovelies! We are 5 year old sisters, 16-18 lbs, Laine and Rose.  We were surrendered to a shelter, and then we hit the doggie jackpot when the shelter foster home contacted VIP Rescue to take us!! YES!!!  We just knew we were going to be ok from here on in. With the help from a few foster homes, we are absolutely learning what love is, and we now trust our human friends. It does take us a while to warm up, so patience, and more patience is what we will need to warm up to our new family and in return you will get soft kisses and gentle pawing for some belly rubs.  At this time, we think it’s best if we went to an adult only home where we will be your only puppers.  We have learned to play, we love to chase each other around the yard and wrestle, and we’re actually doing pretty darn good with going on walks! Our new home will require a 6 ft fence as we have discovered this new thing called “life” and love to play and jump around in the yard. We have been spayed ( thank goodness, no more babies for us!) vaccinated and microchipped. We are still learning the house training rules, so you’ll need to continue with that as well with us.   So, how about it? Think we might be the girls for you?  We sure hope so!  Please fill out an adoption application, and this “paw”some rescue will put you in touch with our amazing foster Mom! We hope to hear from you soon!

Manny/Indian Rocks Beach

Manny is a 1 1/2 year old, male cocker spaniel. He weighs 19lbs. Although Manny is initially shy, once he warms up to you, his loving personality shines through and he will absolutely win your heart over! He is energetic, playful, eager to learn and very trainable.

Manny gets along great with other dogs and **he would do best in a home with an already established confident social do**. He has some anxiety, which is greatly relieved with the company of another dog. A meet and greet will be required.

Manny is crate trained. He walks pretty well on a leash, although we don’t think he has had much practice. He is working on his potty skills and needs someone willing to continue to work with him on his housebreaking.

Manny has not been tested with kids, however his foster believes given his personality, temperament and breed, he would likely do well with respectful supervised children. He also has not been tested with cats, however, again his foster believes he would be fine introduced to an already dog socialized cat.

Manny has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date on his vaccinations and has been started on heartworm and flea prevention. He is now ready to find his forever home!!

Interested in meeting Manny? Please submit an application today to VIPRescue.org

Gia/St Pete

Hey there friends, my name is Gia! My peeps here at VIP Rescue say I’m a 15 lbs, 9 month old Shih Tzu mix and that I’m a total love bug! Those rescue people are funny, huh? ( I love them though, because they rescued me.) Anyway, I really like staring out the window and sitting in the yard soaking up all this Florida sun! A fenced yard would be great for these past times. But, you know what I like the bestest? Cuddling with my humans! I’m doing ok on my leash walks, my foster human said I have this thing called ” stranger danger”. If I don’t know you, or I see another dog or a man, I bark for a little while until I get to know them. I’m still a work in progress, same with my potty training, I’m like 99% there! Sometimes loud noises scare me too, so I think my new family should be with adults or a home with older children because the little kids would make me too nervous. Would that be ok? I’d really like that. Just so you know, I’m spayed, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. I am also crate trained, I’m good with and without it. Got some room at the Inn for me? You can fill out an adoption application at www.viprescue.org

Elly/Cirtus Park

Hi guys! My name is Elly and I’m a little bundle of energy and love! I’m about 9 months old and 15 pounds.
My foster dads think I give the best kisses! I like to snuggle, play with my foster dog sisters and kitty brother, run zoomies around the house and play with my toys. So far I haven’t met anyone I can’t get along with. I think I’d really like a brother or sister (dog or human) so I have someone to play around with. It would be great too if I had a fenced yard to run and play in. I have a lot of energy that needs somewhere to go!  I’m working on my potty training and will need help with that. I am ok on a leash, but am not really interested yet in walking my human. I have been using the potty pads like my sisters and I’ve learned how to use the doggy door!  I am ok sleeping in my own bed or with my dad in his bed. I’ve been sleeping through the night too!
My foster dads say I’d be great with an active family who has time to play with me and wants someone to give them lots of love!   I’m up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed and on heartworm/flea monthly prevention.  You must submit an application with viprescue.org to be considered for adoption.

Theo/Seminole

Say hi to Theo! Theo is approximately two years old and weighs in at about 15 pounds. He is thought to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix.  Theo is very playful and would love to have another dog his size to play with. He is very gentle and plays extremely well with other dogs. He also loves to play with his toys and empties his toy box on a daily basis! Theo also loves the company of people and is very affectionate. He will be your shadow, and snuggle with you.

Theo is great on a leash and enjoys walking. He does have a bit of a prey instinct.  He would love to have a nice secure fenced yard so he can explore.

Theo is heart worm positive and his new family will need to live close to our Vet in Indian Rocks Beach for his timely heart worm treatments over the next few months.  A VIP Volunteer will go over all the protocol with you, along with the “do’s” and “don’t’s” of a heart worm positive dog until treatment is complete.  VIP of course, covers the cost of the heart worm treatment.

Theo is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention too.  To welcome Theo you must submit an application with viprescue.org

Milo/Redington Beach

Howdy Rescue world!!! I’m Milo, a Shih Tzu mix, who’s thought to be about 11-12 years old, a senior, and all of 11 lbs.  I am in search of a quiet, laid back, loving adult home to spend my golden years in, I don’t require much, a roof over my head, a human or two that will pamper me with good food and some gentle cuddles.  I am working on my house manners, If you take me out frequently, I do my business outside.  I do have cataracts and have lost some of my vision, but my nose works real good especially when there’s food involved, I’m right there!  I have some skin issues that were going on, but I was treated and now my hair is growing back near my tail.  Do you think I might be the guy for you? I sure hope so! I am neutered, current on my vaccines, had a recent dental, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention too. Please submit your adoption application to www.viprescue.org. I hope to meet my new “fur” ever family real soon! Love and tail wags, your friend, Milo.

Smokey/Seminole

Smokey is a 5 year old cutie who is thought to be a Dachshund mix weighing just 18 lbs. Smokey came to VIP Rescue with his brother Rusty, but they are not a bonded pair so therefore can be adopted separately. ( Unless of course you want both of these great boys!) He gets along with other dogs, and he and his brother happily share their food and water bowls. Smokey has puppy soft fur, and just loves to be petted. Like his brother Rusty, he enjoys short leash walks around the neighborhood, and is working on his housebreaking manners. Also like his brother Rusty, Smokey is heartworm positive and his new family will need to live close to our Vet in Indian Rocks Beach for his timely heartworm treatments over the next few months.  A VIP Volunteer will go over all the protocol with you, along with the “do’s” and “don’t’s” of a heartworm positive dog until treatment is complete. VIP of course, covers the heartworm treatment in full. Smokey is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention. If you’d like to meet this “paw”some guy, please submit your adoption application at www.viprescue.org

Rusty/Seminole

We’d like you to meet Rusty, or as we call him ” Mr. Showman”. This handsome 5 year old guy is thought to be a bit of a Dachshund mix weighing in at 27 lbs. Rusty just loves attention, and if tail wagging was a sport, he would be the Gold Medal Olympian! Rusty came to VIP Rescue with his brother, Smokey. They are not a bonded pair so therefore do not need to be adopted together, but if you’d like both of them, then we say sure! Rusty enjoys sunning himself in the yard and enjoys his short leash walks around the neighborhood. He has his housebreaking manners almost down pat, he just needs you to continue working with him on that. Rusty came to us heartworm positive, so his new family will need to live reasonably close to our Vet in Indian Rocks Beach for his timely treatments for the next few months. A VIP Volunteer will go over all the protocol with you, along with the “do’s” and “don’t’s” of a heartworm positive dog until treatment is complete. VIP of course, covers the heartworm treatment in full. Rusty is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention.  Rusty is patiently waiting for his new home, could that be yours? Please fill out an adoption application at www.viprescue.org.

Cricket/Maderia Beach

Hi there, my name is Cricket! I’m a lovable, sweet 1 1/2 year old girl currently looking for a family of my own to love me! I came to VIP Rescue last year with my “lil” ones, they’re growing big and strong and are being loved on in another amazing foster home! So, a little about me. I’m a spunky 10 lb girl with boatloads of energy and the most adorable underbite.  I’m doing great in my foster home, and getting along with my foster sister just fine. I love my leash walks, but I will tell you, I do like to bark at “passerbys” until I get to say hello to them! But bicycles, hmmmm.. not so sure. Mom says I keep barking til they pass by, but I’m sure in no time at all I’ll get used to them too. I really love to play and wrestle with my foster sister, but I’m also happy to just chill and snuggle up. Did I mention I just love those they call ‘Humans”? Yup, they’re the bestest ever! I enjoy sleeping in foster Mom’s bed with her, but I’m also quite content to “kennel up” when needed. I’m housebroken ( woohoo!) spayed, current on my vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention too. As they say in Hollywood, “Roll Em”! If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky girl with a bit of “scruffy” then you found her! ME! Please submit your adoption application to viprescue.org

Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your family’s part to be the best pup they can be! They need love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! Their little bladders can’t hold it all day while you’re at work, so you’ll definitely need either yourself, a family member or friend to stop by during the day to let them out as well as give them their lunchtime meal. (Pups need to be fed 3x a day until they get older).

If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle! As always, if you have any questions at all, feel free to email us at info@ viprescue.org

Fall Litter / Redington Beach

Looking to adopt a puppy? Well, you’ve come to the right place!

09/03/2021. She is current on age appropriate shots, spayed, micro chipped and on heartworm and flea prevention, current weight(s) 8-11lbs at 13 weeks.

Puppies are so adorable. If you are ready for a bouncy, high energy, puppy … one of these is for you!!!!  Best guess for this specialty rescue pup, thought to be maybe…Lab mix / Terrier and something else thrown in (photo of mama at bottom), for an adult weight, could be 25-40 lbs. She is ready to begin her journey.  She is working on potty training and leash training.  If you are willing and able to accept this challenge, and welcome him/her into your home and heart, you must complete an application at viprescue.org

Puppies are a lot of fun and a lot of work. Puppies bring life to a home and a lot of work.. ! Did I say a lot of work ?

They require a lot of attention and time and human agility!! As you guide them to a well mannered social companion pet, plan on teaching yourself to teach them to be great companion friends!

In exchange, they will teach you some valuable lessons.

Put your shoes away.

Close all doors, gates and toilet lids.

Phone charging wires are expensive to replace.

You aren’t as young as you think.

You aren’t as quick as you think you are.

You aren’t as smart as you thought your are.

Look before you step.

Training isn’t as simple as you remember.

….just sayin’ !!

You need to be prepared for two years of you being agile, quick to your feet, and very very patient when you react.

Puppies are full of energy bounce and play!

Their little bladders can’t hold it all day while you’re at work, so you’ll definitely need either yourself, a family member or friend to stop by during the day to let them out as well as give them their lunchtime meal. (Pups need to be fed 3x a day until they get older). As they grow they can tolerate longer times between meals and play time. If you are gone all day a puppy is not for you (check out the older dog we have available for adoption)…

If you are willing and able to accept this challenge, and welcome him/her into your home and heart, you must complete an application at viprescue.org.

Kona Coconut/Redington Beach

Oh the smell of fresh air, isn’t it wonderful? My name is Kona Coconut. I’m a curious 7 month old 12 lb chihuahua/terrier mix little guy who will most likely be under 20 lbs. as an adult. Sounds like I should be on some tropical Island, right? I have found myself at VIP Rescue with a bunch of foster siblings.  It took me a little while to get comfortable with them, but now i love to play and chase them. I love to be with my humans, and I’m working real real hard on my house manners, you will have to be patient with me as i have not had much attention and/or training before coming here.  I am learning quickly, I just haven’t mastered it yet, cause you know, I’m still a puppy! Oh, don’t you just LOVE my ears? Better to hear you tell me just how much you wubs me, right? I’m neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heartworm/flea prevention. I’m just sitting here waiting to hear that someone wants me to be a part of their family, is that youuuuuuuu?????   To welcome me into your heart and home please submit an application at www.viprescue.org

Pupdate, I have learned how to smile. See new photos!!!

Harriet/Redington Beach

How adorable is this sweet and precious girl? Look at that face! We’d like you to meet 2 year old Harriet. She arrived at VIP Rescue about a week ago, skinny, (just 28 lbs) scared and with her 3 puppies. It’s clear that poor Harriet didn’t have proper nutrition due to the condition she arrived in, but we’re betting she gave her all to her babies. Good girl Harriet! Her pups are old enough to leave Mom and have been placed in a foster home with another family so we can nurture this gal back to her healthy self again. With good food, a warm comfy bed and a doting foster family she’ll be her healthy self real soon! Our Harriet is also Heartworm positive, so she’s going to have to take it easy while undergoing treatment which VIP Rescue will take care of. Her new family will need to live in Pinellas, W Pasco or NW Hillsborough County to take her to her time sensitive appointments at our Vet. VIP will go over all of this thoroughly with her new family. We think Harriet will do best in a quieter adult home where she can just relax and enjoy the new life that awaits her. Harriet will be spayed later this week, she is current on her vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. So, how about it, are you the family for sweet Harriet? She sure hopes so! Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for her.

Earl/Holiday

Hi, I’m Earl, a spunky 2 year old Chihuahua, weights in at 14 lbs, (need to lose a few). My mommy had to give me up because she was moving in with her son and couldn’t keep me. I know some commands and like my crate, which provides me protection and a place for time out when I’ve done something bad. Sometimes I just like to relax in it as well. As you can see from my pictures I need to lose some weight, but otherwise I’m very healthy. Did I say I’m spunky? And also very curious. I get along well with other dogs and love all my humans. I’m current on all vaccines, heartworm/flea prevention and I’m also chipped and neutered. To apply to become my new parent(s) you must fill out an application on VIPRescue.org and the nice people there will handle the rest.

Frogger/Seminole

Frogger/Seminole Available for adoption!!!

Frogger is a 1 year old, 20 lb mix of cuteness (best guess doxy mixed with beagle, mixed with terrier, mixed with ???) He is a sweet boy, and once you earn his trust he gives the biggest smiles! He LOVES to go on walks and hang out with his human, he is good with other pups in the home, but he has not been kid or cat tested. He is a cuddle bug and will offer his paw for belly scratches. He is shy with stranger. And would do best with his own fenced back yard. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heartworm/flea prevention.
Frogger came to us heartworm positive, so he’s going to have to take it real easy while undergoing treatment which VIP will take care of. His new family will need to live in Pinellas, West Pasco or NW Hillsborough counties to take him to his time sensitive appointments at our Vet. VIP will go over all of this thoroughly with his new family.
To welcome this bundle of energy into your home, you must submit an application with VIPRescue.org. click on link to be directed to application submition. https://viprescue.org/jobs/apply/?j=772

PJ/Redington Beach

****CUTENESS ALERT****

This amazing 4 month old pup is P.J.! We’re thinking he’s some type of Beagle/Terrier/Jack Russell mix, but what we DO know, is that’s he’s just adorable! Typical puppy behavior, he loves to play play play, and really enjoys his meals. Being young, P.J. is still learning his housebreaking skills as well as how to walk nicely on a leash. All things his new family will need to continue working with him on so that he will grow up to be a great dog! At best guess, he should be in the 20-25 lb range when grown, but again, that’s just an estimate. P.J. is neutered, has his age appropriate vaccines, is microchipped and has been started on Heartworm and Flea prevention.
Now that you have found that perfect little darling, we want to make sure you’re ready for that bouncy, high energy shoe eating little pupper!Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your family’s part so that they will be the best pup they can be.They need love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! Daisy Mae/Redington Beach

We’d like you to meet our “lil” southern belle, Miss Daisy Mae. She’s a 1 1/2 year old petite 16 lb. Beagle/Jack Russell mix. Daisy gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, and enjoys and does well on her leash walks with the other “fur” kids. She’s quite active so she’d probably love to have another pup in the home to play with or if you’re an active family she’d enjoy that just as much! Daisy came to us with a “cherry eye” but no worries, VIP will have that taken care of. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea and heartworm prevention. If you’re interested in meeting this very sweet girl, please submit your adoption application to www.viprescue.org

Angus/Redington Beach

Hey there VIP Rescue fans, it’s me, Angus! I’m a 2 year old terrier/chihuahua mix that weighs just 15 lbs, but I’m pretty sure most of that is from my ears and my very long legs! lol… I get along great with the other pups in my foster home, and my foster Mom said I do great on our leash walks too! I wubs to snuggle with my “hoomans”, and like these things called “naps”. I’m really digging this new Florida life, but there’s one thing missing, a new family to call my own! Could that be you? I’m already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, so, like, I’m ready to roll! Please submit an application to www.viprescue.org to meet me! See ya!

Sam/Redington Bach

Ole Man Sam/Redington Beach

Could the 3rd time be the charm for Sam, our sweet senior? Although Sam has had a couple of false starts with potential furever homes, he knows his person is out there somewhere!

Sam arrived at VIP Rescue on 6-30-21. He was overweight and had a few health issues. He has been in a few of our foster homes getting the best of care. Sam has now lost that extra weight and is on a steady, healthy diet which makes him a very happy guy! His coat is now a shiny, healthy brown brindle with a very distinguished frame of gray around his face, which according to his foster mom, makes him even more handsome! Sam loves his walks, his food and his treats, his human, and he loves to nap! Sam will need daily eye drops for his dry eye but wants you to know it’s easy-peasy to do, and he is very cooperative!

Sam is 10-12 years young, 15 lbs, neutered, up to date with vaccines and on heartworm/flea prevention. If you are looking for a laid back guy that loves leisurely walks and a nice meal, please submit an application to adopt Sam.

Please click on link to go directly to adoption application.

Pixie/Largo

Look at the beauty queen. Pixie is a healthy, happy loving 2 year old and 18 lbs.  She is housebroken, walks well on leash and will cuddle for hours.  She does not chew up anything and loves sleeping in your bed.  She’s calm and playful.  She’s really perfect.  She is not fond of cats, she would be do best as a one any only. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, micro chipped and on heartworm/flea prevention in foster. You must submit an application with viprescue.org to be considers for adoption.

Buster/Holiday

Buster/ Holiday Adopt this vivacious boy and you’ll come home every day to a very, very happy tail. This jet black cutie is probably 2-4 years old (I’g guess on the low end), although no one really knows. Most likely he is a Min Pin-Chihuahua mix, although no one really knows that either. Buster just has that air of mystery about him! Buster is working on his potty training and needs a guiding hand to get him to the end. To make up for that he is good on a leash, gets along well with other dogs, and would just love to be sitting with you in your favorite chair or on the family couch. Buster needs to add weight to his current 10 pounds, and is working on that. This boy does have a good appetite. Needless to say (but I’ll say it anyway), Buster is microchipped, current on his shots, on flea and heartworm meds, and has been neutered. To apply for this sweetheart visit VIPRescue.org and complete an application.

Barley/Holiday

Barley is a happy doxie mix, always looking to please his human.  He is about 11 pounds, and probably 5+ years olf, but honestly not much is known about this cutie.  He we do know he is chipped, neutered, had a dental, and is current on flea and hearworm meds because VIP Rescue did that.
Barley is good with other dogs, and given the chance will spend a lot of time playing with squeak toys.  He is very inquisitive and is always “right there” to see what is going on.  Like almost all rescues he needs potty training and is not housebroken at this time, but is working on it.  He is black and tan, but since he was shaved as part of his checkup it is difficult to see just how beautiful he is.
Barley would love to spend time in your lap and brighten your house.  If you want to adopt this loving little boy you know the drill: fill out an application at VIPRescue.org and we’ll take it from there.

Peewee is a handsome is 14 year old gentleman. In his retirement years he is looking for a nice comfy place to lay or someone curl up next to or to take him on nice leisurely walks. He recently has had a check up and is quite healthy for his age.

He gets along with other doggies, and if you have one at home already, a meet and greet would be needed. This great guy is neutered, up to date with his vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heartworm/flea prevention . If he sounds like the companion for you Please submit an adoption application at www.viprescue.org

Tilly/Redington Beach

This cute 1 year old Jack Russell mix is Tilly. She is quite the mover and the shaker, typical traits for the Jack Russel breed. Have you seen those agility courses? Yeah, we bet she’d LOVE to do that as she loves to get on top of things to see as far as she can see. Ha! With that being said, this silly SUPER active girl will require a home with a 6 ft fenced in yard. Tilly is currently interviewing for her “fur”ever home, could that be yours? Do you have an active pup looking for a play mate? Or do you have an active life style and want to share it with this sweet girl? She’ll be waiting to hear from you!Tilly is spayed, current on her vaccines, microchipped, housebroken, and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Sound like the girl for you? One thing we do know is she is a total love bug. You know it is not polite to ask a gals weight, but a little birdie told us she’s a dainty 36lb full figured sweetie. Marley can be a little shy when she first meets you but warms up nicely. Are you looking for a buddy to go on leisurely walks with or to hang out in the shade of a nice tree in the afternoon or maybe just lounge around? This very well could be the girl for you! I’m a little shy at first, but I do warm up nicely when I get to know you. I get along with the other doggies in my foster home, and I would love to have a buddy to play with.  I am currently 23 lbs, and I do have a little more growing to do. I would love a family of my own to teach me all the good things life has to offer, maybe that’s you? We feel she needs a home with adults only or older children. She needs a fenced yard, she is working on leash walks, but has not master this as of yet. I’m spayed, current on all my vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Jade/Redington Beach

Would you like to meet the sweetest dog ever? Well, look no further because here she is! Meet 1 year old Jade, an 11 lb female Chihuahua mix. She loves to cuddle and be near her human, and gets along just fine with the foster dog(s) she is currently housed with. Jade enjoys her walks and is a delight on the leash. During her vet exam it was discovered that both legs have luxating patellas and the Vet has not suggested surgery at this time. Currently she is not having trouble with either leg, as she is a young healthy dog. In the future she may require supplements/medications and/or surgery. There are other options as time goes by if it becomes an issue. It is common for some small breeds to be genetically predisposed to this and can live a long and healthily life with no issues. Jade is spayed, current on her vaccines, microchipped, housebroken, and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Sound like the girl for you? An adoption application can be found at www.viprescue.org

HOWARD/SEMINOLE

Howard is back!   He didn’t find his perfect match but he’s confident that he will!!

Howard is a darling 3 year old Pom-Chi-Terrier-Something mix of cuteness and weighs all of about 10 lbs.  Although he is not considered one of the non-shedding breeds, he does not shed much at all!

He is an extremely friendly and affectionate little guy who wants nothing more than to be your constant companion.  He will do best with someone who is home way more than they aren’t. He will follow you and keep you company all day long.  He also enjoys car rides and meeting new people.

He is fine with other small dogs, but he is not cat tested (I think he’d be fine).  He’s not kid tested, but respectful children might be ok as well.  He is housebroken, walks well on a leash and really enjoys leash walks. Howard only barks if there is something to bark at!  He’s quite a little gentleman!

Howard is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea/heartworm prevention.

Tucker/Redington Beach

Tucker/Redington Beach

We’d like you to meet the sweetest, most loving, adorable and handsome lil’ fella Tucker! He’s an amazing 7 1/2 year old Shih tzu who weighs in at a mere 8lbs.!

Shortly after arriving to Rescue, he went to see our Veterinarian which all of our intakes do, and it was discovered that this little sweetheart had a broken jaw! While the cause of the break is unknown, our Vet said he is continuing to heal and is doing quite well..Phew! Tucker is also receiving supplements for his joints and mobility, because, you know how it is, as we get a little older everything starts to hurt, right? LOL…Tucker is also vision impaired, and will need to be kept in a safe environment at his new home, but once he’s familiar with his surroundings, he gets along fairly well. He loves “his” humans, and will follow them around by sound, and has an unbelievable sense of smell, especially when the ” human” is preparing his meals! Due to the issue with his jaw, little Tucker will need to stay on soft canned food for quite some time not only for his poor jaw, but because he doesn’t have that many teeth left either! Poor little Tucker, he is such a trooper!

This great boy has had it tough, but he’s SO ready to find his “fur” ever family. The ideal situation for him would be a quiet adult only home with no stairs and please, no kitties either. He gets along with the other pups in his foster home, but does not like it if any of them get a little “rambunctious”, as that makes him nervous, so if you have a very calm doggie who likes to chill just like Tucker, a meet and greet will be required to make sure it’ll be a good fit. Tucker is a very affectionate, cuddly boy who loves going outside, laying in the grass enjoying our beautiful Florida weather. He must be accompanied outside at all times due to his vision issues. He is working on his housebreaking skills, he’s not quite there yet, so a regular “potty” break routine is best. So, what do you think? Might Tucker be the guy for you? He sure hopes so! Please fill out an adoption application atwww.viprescue.org and if approved, his foster family will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. Tucker is neutered, microchipped current with vaccines and monthly heartworm/flea prevention.

You’ll be delighted if you adopt this cute little girl. Bebe has a happy tail and is always glad you’re around. She loves to play with toys, if is is bones or the stuffy of the moment or something else. But the best thing is loves to lay with her owner to snuggle and get tummy rubs. Those are easy to do as she is a comfy 13 pounds and 2 years old. Oh, did I mention she is a Rat Terrier mix? And oh so cute! Of course she has been microchipped, is on flea and heartworm prevention, and is waiting to meet you. To adopt this sweetheart you must fill out an application on at VIPRescue.org and we’ll take it from there. You must submit an application with VIPRescue to be considered for adoption.

Courtney/Indian Rocks Beach

07/27/2021. She is current on age appropriate shots, spayed, micro chipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Puppies are so adorable. If you are ready for a bouncy, high energy, puppy … one of these is for you!!!! Best guess for this specialty rescue pup, thought to be maybe…Terrier mix and something else thrown in, for an adult weight, could be 25-40 lbs. She is ready to begin her journey. She is working on pee-pad training and then will graduate to potty training and leash training. If you are willing and able to accept this challenge, and welcome her into your home and heart, you must complete an application at viprescue.org. Puppies are a lot of fun and a lot of work. Puppies bring life to a home…. and a lot of work.. Training isn’t as simple as you remember.….just sayin’ !! You need to be prepared for two years of you being agile, quick to your feet, and very very patient when you react. Puppies are full of energy bounce and play !If you are gone all day a puppy is not for you (check out the older dog we have available for adoption) … At this age they need to be fed 3 times a day. As they grow they can tolerate longer times between meals and play time. If you are willing and able to accept this challenge, and welcome her into your home and heart, you must complete an application at viprescue.org

Twila/Seminole

Did you say you want a puppy? Well, you’ve come to the right place!
Twila is 3-4 months old weighing in at 8.5 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and heart and flea prevention. At best guess she’s a schnauzer mix whose adult weight may be 25-35lbs.
Now that you have found that perfect little darling, we want to make sure you’re ready for that bouncy, high energy shoe eating little pupper!
Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your family’s part so that they will be the best pup they can be.
They need love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! Their little bladders can’t hold it all day while you’re at work, so you’ll definitely need either yourself, a family member or friend to stop by during the day to let them out.
If that’s not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle! As always, if you have any questions at all, feel free to email us at info@viprescue.org

Simone/Redington Beach

Hello Big world!  I’m new here and trying to figure this puppy thing out.  I’m 4 months old and I think I am a hound something mix.  I’m a happy girl, although I’m a little timid, once I get to know you, look out, because I’ll do wiggles and jiggles and turn over for belly rubs!  I’m learning to walk on a leash, I’m learning house manners, and for the most part I take my business outside.  I just discovered toys and wow are they fun to toss around and chase!   I’m still learning what I can play with and to what I am told no no!  It is great how many new things I am discovering and people aren’t as scary as I thought!  I am going to need someone with the patience for a puppy, to help me become the best dog ever!  I’m super smart and I’m told I’m a good girl with all the new things I have been learning and doing.  I am spayed, microchipped, up to date with vaccines and on monthly heartworm/flea prevention.  If you would like me to come live with you and your family please submit an application with VIPrescue.org.
